Right now I do have marked down that Seraphina answered my question about fighting shoulder to shoulder, but I'll let Seraphina and Jasmine decide which would rather have answered that question. @IsabellaRose Also that fits quite well to me! Kiyo maybe holds a bit more of a grudge over it than she should but hopefully she will someday appreciate the professional courtesy. A good reason why they haven't come to blows, yet Kiyo still not quite trusting Violetta, or understanding her as a person.

I probably badly worded what I meant but yes. If we don't answer questions, we only >become< +1hx on the question asker's sheet. If we do answer someone (and win that one slot in their question) then it gets them hx toward us in their playbook. I know this much. But assuming that I didn't answer anything, I'd just be a +1hx for everyone. All I'm saying. Of course the point is not to not participate. I just think it's best to not throw myself on a question just because I can. Hence what I mean by waiting for an opportunity. Rubble was a big mean looking lady with a real steely face! People called her Rubble because she wore these makeshift armor plates that were crafted from the tall stone ruins, so she looked like rubble. It let her be sneaky even though she was real big! There were nearly twenty of them when they ambushed Kiyo, half as many when Violetta caught up to them. She picked them off one by one as they camped for the night. It was tempting. Those were the two I was wrestling between the most. But with the other club (hopefully temporarily) on pause, the desire the explore the telepathic side, with a new twist for this sort of setting, won out. The harem thing was mostly like Chiyako guessed, a side effect of the male and multiple female characters, even if it is only really 3 he has a chance of setting that up with and it remains to be seen if/how successful he is.

I get it, that is his personal goal. I’m sure he will have plenty of other things to deal with and only sometimes be working on it when it quieter.

I’m probably approaching my character with a mix of the two. I have some idea what I’m looking with Leon as a lion man, but still figuring out what being a Brainer really means. I’m at least open to answering most questions, but giving others a chance to answer first. Some fit better than others, like Kiyo answering my previous question means it would make sense to answer hers’ now, but giving others a chance to answer before jumping on it.

I guess I approach it from the complete opposite perspective - jump on a question, see how the answer changes my idea of who my character is, let it help define something about them that I maybe didn't expect. Giving my character several viewpoints, past actions, and desires that oppose each other gives them internal conflict, and that just makes them more fun to play, especially when it's something that surprises me. I like when my characters surprise me, or did something in the past that doesn't seem to fit who I think they are. Well, I figure that since she is also not a frail type, being called Sera or Phina (Both possible nicknames) might not bother her, if not irk her a little depending on who tries the friendliness with her. It might sound better in spelling than Cassia, I think. I don't know. But yeah... She is not combat focused but she also isn't peachy. The image showed a strong belly. @Warning Seraphina is also a lovely name! I don't think there is anything wrong with changing it, since we haven't actually started the roleplay yet. If that feels better for you then you should definitely make the change. Also yeah, I would agree since Seraphina is not very combat focused, and avoids hurting people, that maybe she might fit another question better. I already answered a Leon question- he’s been watching Violetta, and a Kiyo question. So that just leaves questions from Cassia and Jasmine for me to answer. With PbtA games it works best if you just grab a question, answer it, and build canon. So if you answer Leon’s question and run with it- you dislike him th most. Done. Now it’s canon. It doesn’t have to stay that way, but it gives you a starting point, something to use to build backstory with.

Cassia might not like his type but I don't think she's the one to dislike him the most. But I suppose this is why this kind of topic requires communication to see how badly every other characters would react to him. The worst one is the winner for the hx. Around a table, it would definitely make a lot of sense to discuss such things, at the very least.

I don't know the character itself, of course. Just like a healer can be serious faced, A brainer could... somehow be likeable. But that question screams "I am here to be disliked. Who dislikes me the most?". This poor character is like 0 to -10 friendship with everyone. XD Just kidding but it's funny how the playbook throw that so casually, to be honest. :P

Yeah, figure just about anyone other than probably Jasmine could reasonably answer that one. I have to see still exactly how I play him, but I suspect he will have a different personality but some similar issues bonding with people as my other off club telepath.

I suppose I will see since I try to go with what question and character I seem to work more with. Yours by example, I feel like many could say "me" because well, brainer is in general creepy don't seem very likeable and I think that's what the playbook "jokes" about. It's seeking who dislikes or distrust you the most. XD I feel that'd warrant a discussion. P.S.: Even if I did answer chiyako, which could happen, hx are one way, not two way. Even if I had hx+3 with them, doesn't mean they have that number with me. I might like or not mind them but they could hate me somehow. For now the idea seems to be to just have one open question at a time. Your other questions will get asked but it looks like it will be in the order of me, Chiyako, you, only possibly shifting if one of us answers the other’s question, since the next should come from someone who neither asked or answered the previous question. But if anyone other than Chiyako answers mine, and anyone other than you answers Chiyako’s next one, it should follow that order.

So I could theoretically ask another question as well and see what hx I collect from it. Although, I don't wanna step on anyone's toes there. Correct! We ask one at a time, and someone answers. You want to answer only one of some other character's questions but you could theoretically answer one for each character. And each question should only be answered by one person. So my question that I asked for Kiyo was answered by Violetta. Nobody else would answer that one, but I do have others to ask later. Violetta wouldn't want to answer another one of my questions. I did answer one for Casia, so I probably shouldn't answer another of her questions. But I could answer other people's questions. And Leon just asked another one.

Truth be told originally I was going to have Kiyo answer this one, but the other one she answered fits well enough and didn't seem to fit anyone else well. I'd still probably answer it with Kiyo if nobody else did but I'm pretty sure either Seraphina or Jasmine can answer it.

Especially if neither Violetta or Kiyo are answering two questions, unless Seraphina had a reason to sleep around him (this is just sleeping, it could imply more, but might just be innocent sleeping depending on who it is and what was happening at the time).

Let's go with this. It was in fact medical supplies, but more than Kiyo's team realized. High end experimental stuff, from the old world. I don’t mind who answers, though it might make most sense for it to be either Cassia or Kiyo, if only because Violetta answered his first question, and Jasmine is the one character that probably would not answer that. Unless it makes sense to have Violetta double up on answers. It may or may not depend on whether on whether they already met, how aggressive Leon is on that whole mating/pride thing and if he has figured out yet whether Cassia is the one character he does not have a chance with there.

So for this system we have each question more or less answered by only one other person, because each question has a related Hx amount (which is a way to kind of show how well you might think you know another character). It also builds unique little things between individual characters that they might not share with another. For example, Kiyo doesn't trust Violetta as much since she left Kiyo bleeding (which was one of Kiyo's questions that Violetta answered). So Kiyo starts with Hx-2 with Violetta. Right. So if we're somehow "related", either by crew stuff. OR by knowing each others somehow, I'd gladly make up a story for that. I assume this is why Hx questions make sense. However, from what I get, I think hx can be answered by many partners due to how friendship between characters build? It's normally (everyone do a turn of table to see each characters know each others) so it's not just 1 answer per question. The way we're currently doing this seems to be very odd when it comes to actual systems. Or do I get this wrong?
