  1. Missy was not completely wrong, and Alicia answered her pondering aloud with a slight grin. It helped sometimes to be thought of as a monster. Some of the people who might normally assault someone like her were also superstitious or simply afraid of the monsters of myth. Fear could be leveraged against even a mob of people. Sometimes that benefit outweighed the negatives. Alas, it often times was what got her into trouble in the first place! That and the experiments.
