Hi! Welcome to my profile. Thanks for reading whatever you read that brought you here. The rest of this is going to go in the following order: a little about myself, a little about my writing style, an expansion on my kinks/interests, an expansion on my limits, and then a little chat about the kind of stories that I like. You can skip past whatever you want to skip past; I won't judge you. As long as you read the kinks and limits listed above you should have a pretty good idea about me and what I'm into. The Writer

Hello again, I'm very good at starting paragraphs. I've been roleplaying for somewhere near 3 years now so not brand new to the community but still things I have never tried! Additionally, I'm currently a student studying writing at a professional level, so I like to think that I know what I'm doing, but I can appreciate that most of my knowledge is limited to literature. Before you say anything about how I can study writing and have such horrible spelling, I am very dyslexic and I apologize for the inevitable unreadable word that is going to sneak into one of my posts now. Additionally, as I said before, I'm a student, and a busy one at that. That means that sometimes I have to go MIA, but I'll try to let you know. I have discovered the leave of absence tool which I am planning on using to let folks know if I plan on locking in on my studies for a bit. 

Personally, I'm interested in writing, reading, photography, video games, and board games. I do watch a lot of TV, but not a whole lot of anime. I'm always happy to talk about nerdy stuff and I do LOVE OOC chat! Other than that, I can appreciate that not a lot of people really care, but if you do, awesome! Let's chat! I promise I'm a nice guy kinda sometimes. 

Expectations & Writing Style

In terms of my expectations, they are pretty simple. Firstly, I require you to have a good grasp of the English language. You don't need to be fluent; it does not need to be your first language, but I need to be able to consistently understand what you are saying. I only RP in English as I am, alas, monolingual. Good grammar is a really big turn on for me, though, don't let that scare you away, but rather keep it in mind when we talk. Also, as I said before, I have horrible spelling, you will never be judged for mistakes, and I will always try to bite my tongue and not correct you, unless you want the feedback from someone who teaches English on the side -- it's free!

In terms of length, I am looking for a 2-paragraph minimum on responses. Now that comes with a few things, firstly, I know and appreciate you can't always write 2 paragraphs, that's okay, as long as you are on average going above that threshold, then we are good. Now what is a paragraph? I'm not just looking for you to press enter twice. A paragraph is essentially an idea separated by a line, so one paragraph might be about something that happens within the world, and another one might be about what a character is thinking.  

In terms of expectations around responses, I don't really have any. I'd just like for you to get back to me when you can. It'd be nice if you told me when you were done for the day if we have a lot of quickfire messages or if you told me when you were going away for an extended period of time but also I completely understand not doing that, life is life and you are of course free to live it! 

Onto the writing style, I tend to try to match my partner. I'm not certain I have fantastic examples ready to go, but when I do, they will go here. For now, just know that I will try to match your vibe and that I think I can do so pretty well. I am a big believer that good writing partners should tailor themselves to the person they are writing with so that the story they create looks coherent and not like two people grappling for narrative control.

Desired Story Archetypes

What is a story archetype? I'm glad you asked! It's essentially a standard plot or theme that a story can follow, think of the classic pyramid model you might have learnt in high school or the ever-famous rags to riches story model, those are good examples!

In two words, power dynamics. While not an entire archetype, definitely one of my favourite strands to weave into a good story. Now I do usually play dominant, yes that's true, but I am always ever interested to see how power dynamics can be twisted and subverted. For example, a drill instructor, all pious and mighty, getting fucked and totally dominated by a fresh recruit is a super hot twist of standard dynamics.  Now this isn't to say that I only like subversions, a drill instructor assigned to a female platoon and using them all like sex toys is equally as hot! 

A lot of people think in terms of kinky and vanilla; I really don't. I like to play male against female, and that's about the only guiding principle I use. Any good plot is one that I would be happy to do (aside from one's that touch on my limits) and, like I said, I'm a nice guy you can always pitch something to me and I will work with you to create something that works for the two of us.
