  • Hi hi~
I go by Sweetbread, and I love romance and cute things~

    * + : 。 . 。 ˖ ⁺ ‧ ₊ ˚ ❀ ˚ ₊ ‧ ⁺ ˖ 。 . 。 : + *

Welcome to my concerningly unprofessional thread! I'm searching for writing partners who are interested in cuddly, affectionate, hopefully even cute femme romance, femme meaning a character that appears and expresses femininely! I prefer FutaxF or FxFuta, but I'm happy doing FxF as well!

To elaborate a little on potential futa characters, I mean the version that has a full poker and jewels package instead of lady bits. If my character is the futa, then I might go a bit further and say her equipment even looks effeminate as well! I'm also not really a fan of the word futa, but I use it for simplicity's sake!

Please note that I'm looking for human main characters, or something really close to human, like an elf. I don't like fur, scales, or hybrids like catgirls. Also no vampires, the sucking blood thing really unnerves me. If in doubt, ask me!

    ~ ~ ~ About me ~ ~ ~

    • I write in third-person, past-tense! You may ask me for something else, but it'll be outside my comfort zone and I can't promise a yes.
    • I try my best to average a paragraph or two - sometimes I go a little higher. I expect you to be able to match me, and here's some advice I heard that really helped me: Reaction + Action - Your reply should give Your Character's reaction to my previous post, as well as an action that My Character will be able to respond to. Add as much fluff as you want, as long as both those things are included. Feel free to adapt this method to varying numbers of paragraphs, and know I'm generally flexible as long as you seem to be putting effort in. I won't cut you off because you fudged this guideline a few times - I guarantee I will mess up too!
    • I will only roleplay through EcchiText. I will not use public threads, nor will I take things off the site. We will have one message thread for Out Of Character conversation, and one for roleplay. Let me know if you'd rather organize this differently! Also, please note that I vastly prefer having one roleplay per partner, it's hard for me to respond to multiple things at the same time.
    • My timezone is Pacific Standard, but my hours can be a little odd since I'm a night owl! I'm busier on weekdays, but I should be able to respond multiple times a week! I can reply to OOC conversation faster!
    • I'm looking for friendship, some kind of chemistry between us OOC. This isn't necessary, but do let me know if you'd also want this~
    • My characters are sub, sub-leaning switch, or full switch. If my gals get on top, their style is mostly lovemaking. They aren't rough on their own, and just want their partner to feel good~ That being said, I'm not against the occasional rough scene. Just find a way to communicate that to me!
    • If my writing samples aren't a clear enough image of me, feel free to ask me for a short-term roleplay to see if we'll mesh! I'm looking for long-term roleplays but it's important that we ensure we're compatible! If I end up turning you down, please remember that it's an issue with me, not you!

    Spoiler

Rumi grunted as her ship's hull rumbled from another direct hit. She spun her wheel and the vessel banked to the left. The swarm of leeches flashed by her windshield, so close she could hear their chittering through the glass. Again she wondered why they weren't latching on.

She heard the thumping of Warden's flak cannon as the flock passed into the automaton's field of view. "Yes! Purge the sky rats!" its tinny voice gleefully cried. Rumi desperately hoped it wouldn't slip into its haywire mode and fly out to punch the creatures. If she wasn't concentrating on piloting, she would shout it a reminder to stay grounded.

Having rotated the skyship enough, Rumi turned her wheel back into a neutral position, just in time to avoid hitting the cloud of leech guts Warden had created. A few leeches had been ripped apart, but the majority of the swarm was still intact. She gritted her teeth as she scanned the clouds and wondered where her escort was.

    Spoiler

Miaki approached the table, the paper in her hand crinkling as she unfolded it. "Everyone! I... have a plan!" She held up the page and glanced around the shadowed room. Then before anyone could get a proper look at it, she slapped it onto the table.

It was a drawing of sorts, a collection of ragged scribbles that looked like it could be the product of someone who had too much caffeine or sugar just before making it. Neither option was an impossibility with Miaki, who gestured at the work. "This... is a blueprint!" she declared. A voice rang out from the room - "Deer god...!" Miaki rolled her eyes.

"There's more," she added, which was met with another exclamation - "No...!" The presenter was quiet for a moment as she recomposed herself. She splayed her hands on the table and leaned in as she addressed the others. "This is a map of the Vault. We're going to break in."

"I'll be really honest. My head is pounding way too hard for me to remember what I wrote, let alone explain it, so I made copies of my diagram for all of you." Miaki reached under the table and pulled a stack of said copies from who knows where. She placed the stack down and slid it towards the middle of the gathering. "I expect all of you to look over and memorize it tonight. If all goes well, we'll have the Nugget of Chimkin in our possession by dinnertime tomorrow. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to apply eye drops, and drink a copious amount of soda." With a final nod Miaki spun around, stumbled, recovered, and exited the room.

    ~ ~ ~ Plot Stuff ~ ~ ~

I'm open to pretty much any genre and setting, as long as things have good ends and little to no drama. I've been really interested in horror lately and am craving such a theme, but it's not the only thing I'm willing to do! Feel free to bring prompts to me, or if you want to come up with something together, I am very happy to!

The only thing I won't do is smut only. There has to be at least a 50/50 ratio for me to stay invested, unless we mesh really well together. YC is welcome to initiate during obvious quiet moments in the story, but if in doubt, talk to me OOC!

    ~ ~ So what's with me and horror? ~ ~

Someone I met put this in words before I fully understood my feelings myself. I'm paraphrasing of course, but it went something like this:

    Quote

Cute girls doing cute things in an extremely dangerous environment that's hostile to the idea of humans existing is very cute.

I couldn't agree more, but me, I'm more about the threat of things than actual combat. I like a spooky atmosphere that whispers of danger, but I don't want our characters to actually come to harm. This is why I lean towards horror rather than thriller. I like a few physical dangers to be thrown in for the sake of variety, but as long as our characters actively run or resist, they should be able to find a way out of the situation. And then afterwards, they can find comfort in each other and cuddle the badness away~

    ~ Fractured Skies ~
A steam/dieselpunk prompt set in a world of floating islands and horrifying (but optional) creatures.

    Spoiler

So imagine fantasy civilizations, but they're spread across floating islands in the sky and use 'punk-type technology. Magic exists, but it's rare. We'll be playing one or two crews of skyships as they make their living in this wild space.

Inspired by Sunless Skies, Dredge, Voidtrain, Black Skylands, and Bright (that's a lot of titles!)
Two population varieties for sentient races
         Humans only
         Humans + Fantasy races
⟡ Three varieties of possible enemies
        ⟡ Monsters (horror-type creatures)
        ⟡ Sentient pirates
⟡ Mythical fantasy creatures (like dragons)
⟡ Three potential character setups (you can suggest something else)
We play two characters who pilot a single skyship
⟡ We play two characters who have their own tiny skyskips
⟡ We play two ships who co-operate, with each ship having a small crew of up to three
If we do this, I have a crew in mind consisting of a sentient magic-powered automaton and a fairy.
Despite having multiple characters, only our two main ones will be involved in dirty scenes. I don't do group seggs~

    ~ Silly, Sexy, Stupid ~
A modernish prompt intended to be a romcom - or parody one!

    Spoiler

I want to lean into playful idiocy with this prompt! I've watched several anime rom-coms, and I freaking love how cute and silly they get. This is a very tentative idea, but I'd love to brainstorm and figure out what we can do with it! I hope to lean into slice-of-life with our characters as a young couple, either just established or meeting for the first time, and go through their trials as they get close and eventually live together. We'll break up the monotony of real-world living with stupidily and/or sexily silly scenes, and hopefully some kind of twist on the world itself!

⟡ Inspired by rom-coms in general, not just the anime I've seen!
⟡ This is meant to be a less serious prompt, where we get to let loose with silliness while having a cute, wholesome romance~
⟡ I'd prefer for this world to have some sort of twist to it so it's not just an imitation of ours, but that's up to you~

    ~ ~ Fandom Prompts ~ ~
Disclaimer: I quit both of these games a while ago for silly personal reasons, but the worlds, characters, and stories they set up have stuck with me! Keep this in mind if either prompt catches your eye!

    Goddess of Victory: Nikke

    Spoiler

If you're unfamiliar with this game, here's a summary: This is a post-apocalyptic, sci-fi, dystopian setting where humanity lives underground after being decimated by invading alien robots. The human army consists of regular human commanders who lead squads of only female androids that are apparently originally human (convenient for our pairing, no?). If that sounds interesting, feel free to ask me for more details, or to do research yourself. Honestly I don't intend to stick too close to canon and want to use OCxOC for this setting. I'd like for our characters to be a Nikke-Commander pair that we follow. The specifics of their missions are up for discussion.

    Zenless Zone Zero

    Spoiler

If you're unfamiliar with this game, I'm unfortunately not able to help you much. This one is... quite a bit more convoluted than Nikke. If you don't know it, you'll probably want to pass on this. Anyway, we'll probably be doing some kind of Agent-Proxy pairing, though I'm not sure about the specifics for this, and might be willing to turn it around. And also unlike Nikke, I have canon characters I'm interested in here - Anby and Belle. Not sure if I can play Belle, but I have a particularly soft spot for Anby! I can play OCxOC, or CanonxOC if you want me to play Anby. Actually, any sort of OC/Canon combination really works for me... hm AnbyxfutaBelle

That's everything I can think of at the moment, and I will absolutely be coming back every now and then to fix or edit things. PM me if interested, and feel free to ask anything~

Old story ideas I've come up with in the past! You can still ask about these if you really want to!

    Spoiler

Adorable Justice - Modernish, superheroes, magical girls, optional co-writing

    Spoiler

⟡ Inspired by One-Punch Man, My Hero Academia, and magical girls in general

Metropolis A would be a wonderful utopia - except it's constantly under attack! With incidents ranging from petty theft to full-blown invasion, the city calls upon the Metropolis Defense Force to command a roster of brave individuals with superhuman abilities against a variety of enemies, human and otherwise! Our characters are teamed up - together they will keep the streets of Metropolis A safe, and enjoy some hard-earned paid time off!

Super Spooky Thalassophobia Trigger Time ©®™ - Sci-fi, horror

    Spoiler

    ⟡ Inspired by Subnautica

Your character has been brought in as a contractor (not an employee, this is a very important distinction!) to assist in the lab of a tiny company outpost that is studying this uncharted planet. She will typically be assigned to jobs that require her to go out to various parts of the planet and collect samples for the outpost scientists to study. The company recognizes that an unexplored planet may have dangerous environmental factors and has graciously assigned a single security guard to escort your contractor during work. They will work together almost exclusively (technically, they need to report back to the outpost and live there, and will be connected to mission control while away from home) and find unexplained, probably horrifying phenomena outside the safety of the landing site. Rest assured though, because while I will try to make this hella spoopy, our characters won't suffer more than surface wounds. This is, somehow, still a romance!

If you don't like water, Sheltered is pretty much a land version of this!

    Sheltered - Post-apocalyptic, sci-fi, optional horror

    Spoiler

⟡ Inspired by Goddess of Victory: Nikke and S.T.A.L.K.E.R

The planet's surface has been rendered unlivable by an unknown fog-like substance. Over the past centuries, humanity has hidden underground while the surface has been racked by all manner of storms and mutated wildlife. In recent decades, the worst of the fog seems to have passed, allowing humans with an appropriate amount of safety equipment to explore the surface. An underground laboratory complex begins sending expeditions to the surface to collect readings and samples.

    Police 'n Pals - Cyber/steam/dieselpunk, mystery, co-writing

    Spoiler

    ⟡ Inspired by Cyberpunk 2077

Neon signs flicker to life in anticipation of the night. The Obsidian Pointe Security Department is struggling, but it would be surprising if they could keep such a massive city in check. To compensate for their lack of numbers, they've taken to hiring outside help - that's where our characters come in! One of many pairs of freelance detectives, our characters take on tasks the department either can't spare people for or simply can't handle. A setting for those who like some mystery and co-writing!

Blankets of White - Modernish, peaceful, optional co-writing

    Spoiler

⟡ Inspired by various anime rom-coms

Located up in the snow-covered mountains, the small town of Soothing Springs offers refuge from the bustle of city life. Some visitors even chose to become residents, drawn in by its charm and abundance of cozy amenities. The town itself has many stores including but not limited to a bakery, an arcade, a bath house, a cafe, and for the less cultured, a convenience store. The outdoors offer trails that lead to beautiful scenic views of the surrounding lands, including the big city at the foot of the mountains. When you're ready to warm up, take refuge in your own little house. Drink hot chocolate, snuggle up by the fireplace, take a hot bubble bath, binge some shows... we're talking maximum comfort in a vacation that never ends~ Unless you hate the cold, then ask me about a warmer place. I love sunshine when I'm not exposed to it!

The Witch's Tower - Fantasy, optionally peaceful

    Spoiler

Legend tells of a witchy witch whose witchiness was the stuff of legend

Rumors around the kingdom of Loria tell of a powerful - and cute - witch living in seclusion beyond the walls of civilization. Some have tried to find her and returned unsuccessful, finding no evidence the witch even exists. For reasons you decide, your character wants to meet this witch and sets out in search of her. A good setting if you like the idea of cozying up in a rustic tower with a girlfriend and a bunch of books!

Gates of Isolation - Sci-fi, optional horror, optional game

    Spoiler

⟡ Inspired by Sunless Skies and Dead Space

It's eerily silent. Your character wakes alone in a small ship, drifting in a debris field of wreckage and cargo. Wherever this place is, it's dead and empty - except for a single faint distress signal. An active shockgate also lies on the other side of the field, but who knows where it leads. Right now, you don't have the supplies to get there, and you'll need to be alive to travel. Best get to scavenging.
