Hello again! Been a while. And this time, I have an oddball request. I doubt I'll have any takers, but you miss every shot you don't take, right? The scenario is actually. . . not really out there. It's one other people have asked me for at least as much as the other way around. Over the last decade, I've had very little trouble finding people with all different kinks, writing styles and general preferences to play this with. I guess it's gotten a little bit predictable. It's mostly just that bog standard M/F kidnapping story which, surprisingly, seems to be a lot of people's glass of chai but I'll write out a basic little overview of what I mean anyway.
Our heroin (your character) wakes up to find herself bound and blindfolded on a cold dirt floor. When the blindfold is removed and her eyes adjust to the flickering incandescent light, she does her best to take in her surroundings. Not that there's much to take in -- just a basement with concrete walls, a utility sink, some boxes and a few other odds and ends. One of those odds and ends happens to be a chess set. Eventually, she gets an idea -- challenging her captor to a game. With every win, she earns his respect and gets closer to winning her freedom. But with every loss, the conditions of her confinement become incrementally less pleasant (in ways we can discuss beforehand, of course.)
And here's what makes this such a long shot. Depending on your preferences, this could go a bunch of different ways. But I still want there to be some unpredictability to make it exciting -- the results of each chess game would influence the trajectory of the story. And what makes this such a long shot is that I would prefer to actually play out the games of chess. Preferably while in character, using standard algebraic notation for the moves. If by some miracle you're someone who'd be interested in this, please drop a comment. If you think it's a generally neat idea but would like to try something else that doesn't require playing chess -- again, leave a comment and let me know, please. I'm looking forward to hearing from you either way.
