• Any time I mention a pairing, the format is My Character x Partner Character. This goes for outside of this thread as well!
• I write in third-person, past-tense! I try my best to average a paragraph or two - sometimes I go a little higher. I hope you can do the same!
• My timezone is Pacific Standard, but my hours can be a little odd since I'm a night owl! I'm busier on weekdays, but I should be able to respond to roleplays multiple times a week! I can reply to OOC conversation any time I'm online!
• I'm quite silly in the head and love to goof around! Don't be surprised if I throw ?! ^^ xD ! x-x ~ xP crap at you, I just feel like it adds more personality to my text!
• Despite how I express myself, I'm actually a very reserved person - but I can be coaxed out of my shell if you're friendly! Just uh... be warned that there could be awkward consequences. Not my intention, it just happens! >-<
• I'm only a little bit of a weeb - a weebling, or weeblet! I haven't seen much anime or read many manga, but I love the art styles!
• I play video games! Not so much the popular stuff, but I still play a lot! Just another topic we could nerd out over~

Rumi grunted as her ship's hull rumbled from another direct hit. She spun her wheel and the vessel banked to the left in compliance. The swarm of leeches flashed by her windshield, so close she could hear their chittering through the glass. Again she wondered why they weren't latching on.

She heard the thumping of Warden's flak cannon as the flock passed into the automaton's field of view. "Yes! Purge the sky rats!" its tinny voice gleefully cried. Rumi desperately hoped it wouldn't slip into its haywire mode and fly out to punch the creatures. If she wasn't concentrating on piloting, she would shout it a reminder to stay grounded.

Having rotated the skyship enough, Rumi turned her wheel back into a neutral position, just in time to avoid hitting the cloud of leech guts Warden had created. A few of the vermin had been ripped apart, but the majority of the swarm was still intact. She gritted her teeth as she scanned the clouds and wondered where her escort was.

Miaki approached the table, the paper in her hand crinkling as she unfolded it. "Everyone! I... have a plan!" She held up the page and glanced around the shadowed room. Then before anyone could get a proper look at it, she slapped it onto the table.

It was a drawing of sorts, a collection of ragged scribbles that looked like it could be the product of someone who had too much caffeine or sugar just before making it. Neither option was an impossibility with Miaki, who gestured at the work. "This... is a blueprint!" she declared. A voice rang out from the room - "Deer god...!" Miaki rolled her eyes.

"There's more," she added, which was met with another exclamation - "No...!" The presenter was quiet for a moment as she recomposed herself. She splayed her hands on the table and leaned in as she addressed the others. "This is a map of the Vault. We're going to break in."

"I'll be really honest. My head is pounding way too hard for me to remember what I wrote, let alone explain it, so I made copies of my diagram for all of you." Miaki reached under the table and pulled a stack of said copies from who knows where. She placed the stack down and slid it towards the middle of the gathering. "I expect all of you to look over and memorize it tonight. If all goes well, we'll have the Nugget of Chimkin in our possession by dinnertime tomorrow. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to apply eye drops, and drink a copious amount of soda." With a final nod Miaki spun around, stumbled, recovered, and exited the room.

A man stood over a sink, scrubbing a shirt under the running water with a soapy sponge. He'd been here for a while, vigorously attacking a stain that just didn't seem to wash off. A woman entered the room and walked over to see what he was doing. "Honey, are you still on that same shirt? It's been an hour!"

The husband sighed in frustration. "This darn stain just won't come off, no matter how much soap I use!" Before his wife could respond, the disembodied voice of a narrator spoke up. "Then try Soapy Popey's new all-purpose formula!" The couple watched in awe as a spray bottle descended towards them. "Just one spray, and any mess is gone! No scrubbing necessary!" the narrator explained.

The wife grabbed the bottle as soon as it was in reach and her husband presented the stain to her. She sprayed once, he washed off the suds, and just as the omniscient voice claimed, the stain was gone. Again the narrator spoke, glee in his voice - "Try Soapy Popey's new Crusading Cleanser today, and replace multiple cleaning products!

As the man turned off the faucet, the woman took the soggy bundled up shirt and left the room. "Wait..." The husband watched his wife leave, then looked up at the ceiling. He spoke with dismay in his voice. "Hold on. I thought AI was supposed to take my job!"

Your character has been brought in as a contractor (not an employee, this is a very important distinction!) to assist in the lab of a tiny company outpost that is studying this uncharted planet. She will typically be assigned to jobs that require her to go out to various parts of the planet and collect samples for the outpost scientists to study.

The company recognizes that an unexplored planet may have dangerous environmental factors and has graciously assigned a single security guard to escort your contractor during work. Our characters will work together almost exclusively (technically, they need to report back to the outpost and live there, and will be connected to mission control while away from home) and find unexplained, probably horrifying phenomena outside the safety of the landing site.

Rest assured though, because while I will try to make this hella spoopy, our characters won't suffer more than surface wounds. This is, somehow, still a romance!

I'll be honest with you - my Pokemon knowledge is spotty. I've played Yellow and Sword, and watched the original Kanto part of the anime. And... that's it! I just really like the world!

Because of my inexperience, I don't have a specific region I want to play in, or any canon characters to play as. This will be an OCxOC roleplay, probably with our own nonsense region where any Pokemon in the franchise can exist. If there is any lore you want to incorporate, let me know!If a name comes up that I'm unfamiliar with, I have the power of search engines at my side!

Note: All characters will be 18+!

If you're unfamiliar with this game, here's a summary: This is a post-apocalyptic, sci-fi, dystopian setting where humanity lives underground after being decimated by invading alien robots. The human army consists of regular human commanders who lead female-only squads of androids that are apparently originally human (convenient for our pairing, no?). If that sounds interesting, feel free to ask me for more details, or to do research yourself.

Honestly I don't intend to stick too close to the established story and want to use OCxOC for this setting, though feel free to ask me about you getting to play a specific Nikke. Back when I played, there was unfortunately no Nikke that I got attached to enough to want to roleplay her, and one of the biggest disappointments about the game for me was that the commander was only male! Why was there no yuri option?!?1?/1

I'd like for our characters to be a Nikke-Commander pair that we follow. The specifics of their story are up for discussion, and I'd greatly prefer to play the Nikke if possible!
