Type of Club

Roleplay Club
  1. What's new in this club
  2. OKAY! Now that the madness of the end of the year festivities has died down maybe I can sharpen this up a bit and actually get things going
  3. - You can start with a full team of six if you want to, again we're crafting a narrative, we aren't competing. This is a story, not the world championship. - As long as it's nothing crazy like a legend or mythical it can be whatever. - Well, my character is also an interpol agent and he uses his Pokémon to do his fighting. I'm gonna have to really think on that one, actually. With me going to therapy, Pokemon SV being released and holidays and stuff, it's been a busy time and this club is still under construction. I'll have to look all of these questions in this thread over and make clarification in the rules for them.
  4. I guess a question(s) from me: - Is it fine to start with two Pokémon, or just stick to one? - Since this is Galar at the start, if we are getting a new Pokémon does it have to be from Galar or can it be from another region? - How do you feel about guns? Reason I asked is because the character I planned on building is a former mobster/current undercover agent (for the international police) so I think when push comes to shove and he's in a life threatening situation he'd resort to a sidearm. I know in the original anime they had guns (before they edited those out I believe), but he wouldn't just whip one out if he lost a battle. Character would be smart about it and use it sparingly. -
  5. 1) Definitely. Start however you like. 3) Yes, the role play will feature multiple regions and mention others that may or may not be visited. The main plot point will begin in Galar, but you can start however you like. Things are still under construction (busy time plus violet version have been keeping me from doing too much in depth lately), more will be detailed. 4) As in starter role players? Absolutely! I don't really like my role plays to have a "skill level" requirement, I want everyone to be able to participate. Just don't worry if others write more, more detailed, etc. Do the best you can, the more you write the more skilled you'll become
  6. Hey question time fr fr 1)I want to start as typical Pokemon adventure, choice a starter and grind until become strong, can I? 3)How is the world exactly? Like,is there specific regions with Specific Pokemon like Galar,Kanto etc 4)is RP starter friendly? I think that's all I can think Edit:remove 2 because read the rules lol
  7. It's been a busy time and I haven't had much time to play Violet, or at least not as much as I would like to have had at this point. I just got to Area Zero last night and I'm playing through it. Holding off on beginning until I'm through it, because I'm pret-ty darn sure I'm going to be using information from Paldea if things end up going the way I think they're going, due to what the main storyline of Holon Phantoms revolves around. I'm excited to see where it goes though. Bugs aside, of which I've only really experienced occasional frame rate slows, I have had a hell of a good time with SV.
  8. Name: Roan Destiny - Breeder Dex - Growing up, Roan spent much of their time around rock type pokemon. While some were merely slightly exotic, such as the Nacli and Nosepass, their parents' studies of Corsola and, most recently, Growlithe led them down a rather dark path of discovery. While Corsola had been around for a long time, the form of it that had all but replaced it around Galar was far newer, brought about by the changing climate destroying where the old for m could live, and the Growlithe that the young Roan helped hatch was one of a few left of it's kind, the breed extinct in the wild and only barely hanging on in captivity. With that young Growlithe and a drive to help endangered pokemon, Roan set out from Circhester into the world, not really knowing how to actually do any of that, but very willing to find out. Pokémon Name/Nickname - Daisy Female Attacks - Leer, Ember, Howl, Bite Quirks - Has a habit of eating random flowers. Dex - Hatched by Roan, Daisy has very firmly attached herself to them and, while not possessive, is extremely protective of them.
  9. Name : Jiya Destiny : Psychic (Can end up being a trainer too) Dex - Jiya was a young girl who silently began her Pokémon journey in Ryme City. A few years ago, she had received her starter Pokémon, but had no intentions of becoming a trainer. Seeing the Pokémon fight each other seemed cruel to her and she had never found interest in taking part in battles. Though, she has kept her single Pokémon as a friend of sorts, and she lives her daily life as a civilian in the city. Though unbeknownst to her, she is actually a psychic who is capable of reading the auras and types of Pokémon. As she has never taken part in battles, the thought has never crossed her mind. Pokémon : Sprigatito Name/Nickname : Nyanko Male Attacks - Scratch, Tail Whip, Leafage Quirks - Attention loving and capricious, will get jealous if attention is given to other Pokémon Dex - A starter Pokémon that Jiya had received years back. She had no intention of battling or becoming a trainer, but decided to keep the creature since she had received it for free. Over time, she grew attached to it, giving her best friend a nickname, Nyanko as he looked like a cat. Perhaps, Nyanko is Jiya's only friend in the big city where she decided to live on her own.
  10. The more I see of Paldea the more I want to incorporate it into this role play lmao. I'm having a great time
  11. Many of us are beginning, if we have not already begun, out journey in Paldea This thread can be used for discussion on what is happening, things we may discover and general information about the game. Those of you who wish to avoid spoilers may want to steer clear of this thread.
  12. Name: Ryn Destiny: Pokemon Trainer Dex: Hailing from Nimbasa City, Ryn was a lonely soul with nothing else but the Pokemon he saw around the city to keep him company. That would all change until one day he just so happened to run into a old man who was looking to gift him a Pokemon Egg. The egg turned out to be a Totodile, and Ryn cherished him more than just a Pokemon, more like a best friend, even naming him after his imaginary friend he once had as a kid. As time went on Ryn decided it was time to test his bond with his Pokemon, and he set out to wherever his path would take him, hoping to maybe catch some other Pokemon, and maybe even to try a League Challenge or two. As long as he could test his bond with his friend, it would be worth the travel! Pokemon Name: Totodile / Daryl Attacks: - Scratch - Leer - Water Gun - Bite Quirks: A lover of berries, especially when made as a sauce on a steak! Dex: Brave Nature. Since Ryn has always fed him human food, he will most likely snap for any food someone does not hold securely to their hand or leave unwatched. However, he will never hurt a person, always managing to snap the food away with his jaws, but never bite a hand.
  13. Cypress (possible alias) is a high ranking International Police agent who oversees the operations small unit of subordinates, including one Cyan, who she finds herself having to watch very closely. Cypress is older than she looks, but while she takes her job very seriously, she also has a playful side to her and can be friendly outside of a professional environment. A master of blending in and taking control of monitoring equipment remotely, Cypress has eyes everywhere at all times and could potentially be anywhere at any time. She is currently on assignment for the strange energy readings recently discovered appearing from region to region and has her agents investigating each of the sites, but sent Cyan on the most important mission where she predicted the next event to take place in Galar. Her partner Pokémon is a Houndoom, which wears a Houndoomite around it's neck.
  14. Yes, this is mainly for role play. I won't stop people from handling battles as they see fit, but personally I'm going to have it play out however it fits the narrative. Characters will win or lose depending on what the story calls for at any given time, whatever encourages growth, etc. The League club is for playing the games, and playing hard if necessary. A lot of people like to play casually and that's open for it too. I was GOING to have that be part of this, but I decided it best to split them.
  15. Ah, I see! So if we wanted to be more on the competitive side, then that’s what your other Pokémon comm is for. That’s pretty smart actually. I might consider making my character with a full team sometime soon.
  16. Yes! We're making a story here, not playing in a competition, my own main characters are experienced trainers themselves.
  17. Is there a limit to how powerful your trainer/Pokémon start off as while starting your character? Would creating a character that’s fairly experienced from a region outside Galar, but not too powerful (aka having taken down some gyms but not the Elite 4 of their own region) be acceptable?
  18. Knowing a bit more about Paradox Pokémon, it appears they won't clash with the plot elements I had in mind. Things can continue as planned! Feel free to create your characters
  19. Name - Cyan, "Cy" (Possible alias) Destiny - Interpol Investigator, Trainer Dex - A young investigator under the Ryme City branch of the International Police, Cy is a bit wild and unpredictable at times, which makes him the perfect man to have out in the field. Like most children, be had big dreams of being a Pokémon Master, but life got in the way and he found a different path to follow. Sharp, quick on his feet and with hunger for justice, Cy has been on the trail of mysterious energy readings for some time, but when he makes it to the origin point, the trail goes cold in a full stop. Frustrated and hoping this wouldn't be a repeat of the Ultra Wormhole incident, he looked for a pattern in where the readings were detected from region to region which lead him to one place - Galar. Oddly, considering he is technically a police officer, he has an obvious distaste for authority, this is evident with his direct superior, Cypress, in his ear at all times. Pokémon - Name/Nickname - (Male/Female?) (image) Attacks - Quirks - (do they like berries, poffins, etc?) Dex - (Nature, other personality traits or notable information about the Pokémon individually)
  20. Name - Lilac Destiny - Trainer, ex-coordinator Dex - Lilac is the daughter of a famous Pokémon Coordinator couple from Kalos. As such, she was groomed from a young age to follow in their footsteps. With coordinating in her blood and the tutelage of her parents, she proved herself to be quite gifted at a young age and began competing - and winning - as soon as possible. Over time, as she grew, she realized that even though she had a gift for it, her heart was not in it. Soon after, she decided she was going to strike out on her own. She no longer wanted to be in the spotlight on stage, she wanted to be on the field of battle with thousands of roaring fans surrounding. She wanted to beat the best. She wanted to be champion and would settle for nothing less. Being from Kalos, Lilac has an eye for fashion and always looks her best with her own individual style, which has her own unique touch while laying homage to what she wore on stage during contests. Her Pokémon are graceful and battles with them are often effortlessly beautiful due to their extensive training for contests before training for battle. Lilac is as determined as she is beautiful, can be cold as ice and won't let anyone slow her down on the path to meeting her goal. Pokémon - Name/Nickname - Salazzle, "Sizz" Attacks - Flamethrower, Sludge Bomb, Nasty Plot, Attract Quirks - Seductive and with a cool attitude, Sizz can charm nearly any Pokémon, and in some cases humans, and put them under her spell. On the flip side, she is fearless, uninterested and won't be baited. You might say, she's Oblivious. Dex - Lilac's partner Pokémon and best friend. There was a group of Salandits that used to regularly prowl the courtyards of her family home looking for food and shelter, they would often be frightened off, but Sizz, a Salandit at the time, had her leg caught in a hedge. Lilac took the time to free her and bond with her, the two have been inseparable ever since.
  21. Oh you know what I mean XD Like an actual mecha tank Blastoise, some sort of superzoid like Power Rangers or smth.
  22. Yes please, Paradox Blastoise is also a must need. Give me some sort of Mega Tank Blastoise
  23. Ohhhhh don't even play with me about that, that opens up the prospect of a Paradox Blastoise and I don't think my brain can handle that kind of ecstacy
