@LEROZERO Welcome! Thank you for joining. The club actually just went public. I was just working on it for a bit but nothing has actually happened here at all! Entirely new basically some of the fourms just look old cause I've been working on it for awhile. If you want a place to start then maybe reading over ||World Lore|| and ||Event Recount|| (Which is just set up for stuff in World Lore atm) and looking over the character creation is baseline. I'm just going to be retooling an aspect but basically you've arrived just as the doors opened.

Oooh, so I joined just in time to see everything being set up?

Nothing has really started yet, AsBlood certainly took time and work creating this, but no one else joined until yesterday.

Anybody mind giving me a rundown on where to start? There is a lot to this club and it looks to have been around for awhile so I have no idea where to start! Any tips would be appreciated!

Right so I'm planning to make some changes to how playing with the Ages will work forum wise. Won't interfere with plans too much if you were already thinking of stuff or making anything just tightening things up.

It looks like iris flower with a sword through it. It is a mix of her family's symbolic flower and her father's demon sword. Origin Story: Elie was born to a normal loving family or at least she thought so. Her mother was a highly respected women in Italy and her father was a half breed (half human and half demon) aka one of the sons of Sparda. Elie grew up in a grand villa overlooking the sea in Verona, Italy. Little did she know her life would turn upside down. Because she was half demon she was born with special magical powers and a special form only her father knew about. Near Elie's eight birthday disaster struck. A hoard of demons had entered the human world and went on a rampage due to Sparda's barrier having a crack in it. One of the demons had a vendetta against her father Vergil and decided to destroy his happiness. As Vergil fought demon after demon, he saw his wife Juliet and his only daughter Elie running away to get to safety but a flash of red came across his vision as he saw his wife push Elie out of way as she was stabbed through the chest and then ripped to pieces. Elie watched this all unfold from the spot she fell into behind a few bush. Losing his wife, Vergil lost control and transformed into his Devil Trigger killing the demon who murdered his wife. As Vergil stood there covered in blood, Elie crawled out of hiding spot looking at her father with wide eyes. Elie felt no fear as she looked at father's demonic form but tears ran down her face seeing her mother's body in pieces.He turned and saw his daughter wide eyed. He knew seeing his daughter crying, what he had to do. He knocked Elie out and took her to the United States where he put her into a Orphanage in Minnesota. The Orphanage was named Orphan's Joy Inc in Bloomington, MN. He knew she'd be safe here and no one would come looking for her in this dull state. He looked down at his sleep daughter as he whispered into her ear: "Never let them see weakness. Never let them know they have gotten under your skin. Don't show your trump card or you might lose the peace you so desire to have my daughter." He kissed her forehead a single tear falling down his face and with a heavy heart he left his daughter behind at the steps of the Orphanage. Once Elie awoke she looked around confused about where she was. She would cry for daddy often and she learned quickly her new home wasn't the kindness. As she continued to grow, she grew use to bullying. However one day at school a group of boys came onto her wanting to use her for their personal fun time. Due to the fear and anger she was feeling she suddenly transformed into her Devil Trigger Form and used her fire to push the boys away causing no harm, since she just wanted to scare the boys away. The boys ran off and tried to tell the teachers about Elie's monster form but no one believed them. It was that day Elie knew was special. She had so many questions on how she had these powers and what this weird looking form was. Once Elie turned 18, she left the orphanage with not much money to name. She suffered to find a job or a new home but thanks to a wonderful elderly women named Rose Monson, who could her under her wing. She went out to make a name for herself and she did under the Pen Name Esther Nightshade. Rose helped her gain confidence and believed in her and her dreams.Her first book was released when she was 19 and it quickly rose in charts. She quickly gained fame but once she turned 21 she lost the only women who believed in her. On her death bed Rose told Elie to stay strong, remain kind and sweet and stay beautiful inside and out. That she'd still be watching over and cheering her on in heaven and because of those words she is now a best selling author, who travels the world and the states doing book signing. Elie uses most of her earning to help others in need (She donates to many charities) and helps the Orphanage that helped her in her youth to grow into the women she is today, but deep down she still hopes to find answers to questions she has about herself, to help others and to reunite with her father again. Personality: Elie is a very kind, sweet, down to earth and understanding person. She is very technical and logical with her thinking. She is either one or two steps ahead of people and can come up with plans on fly in a pitch.She is well mattered around other people and her editor. Many people see her a modren day noble filled with elegance and grace but if you get to know her she does have a bit of mouth on her. She is a family oriented person and cares deeply for the friends she allows close treating them like family and willing to give them anything to see them smile. She puts them first before herself. However if her family is harmed she becomes cold and distance until she finds out who harmed them and sees justice has taken care of the problem. Magical due to some people would think her her powers would be magical due to her demon blood.)) Powers: Fire Manipulation (Blue and Black Flames) These flames are normally hotter and stronger then the ordinary orange flames everyone knows. However with Noble Ember "Elie" control being almost top their she can control these flames with ease. She can use the blue flames to heal people in a pitch but is she has time, she'll take out her fire proof bag with her herbal creams,pills,chapsticks, medications and etc. Her blue flames are mainly used for attack as well. Her black flames can be used for attack but they are mainly used for defense and shields. She can create walls of fire to protect her and others from oncoming attacks. The flames she summons won't hurt those Noble Ember "Elie" is protecting. With her black flames Noble Ember "Elie learned a neat trick. She can sluf out other flames that are burning in the area and make the surrounding area become completely masked in darkness and overwhelming heat if she wishes. Great for sheath. Devil Trigger Form This is her outfit but the only change is the wings that she has below. Also the fire is shades of blue since her dad's color is blue. Skills: Elie has many skills but here are a few that are notable... 1. Reading- As a author she reads over her own work and enjoys the works of other authors. Normally before bed she'll make some tea or hot chocolate and curl up in her bed and read, while also brainstorming ideas to use in her next book 2. Writing- As a author she's very good at spinning a good tale to keep everyone on the edge of their seats. 3. Singing- One of her favorite pass times she'll do while writing her next book or even out for a morning jog. However she is shy to sing in front of others. She has a beautiful singing voice but she doesn't want anyone to know that. 4. Endurance- She has great endurance and takes her time. She is barely ever tired, thanks to her morning jogs, yoga, dance and swimming. 5. Dancing- Another one of her pass times is she loves to dance. She is very flexible and quick on her feet due to the years of practice. 6. Drawing- She loves to draw and it helps her keep things organized when doing her work with herbs or even when she draws the steamy scene for her books. 7. Tactical Games- Games like chess to her are a way to unwind after a hard day of work and it keeps her brain sharp so if needed she can make plans on fly and be a step or two ahead of her enemies. 8. Languages- Elie can learn languages easily and as a few she's fluent in. ((Italian,English,Sign Language, German, Japanese and Russian.)) 9. Herbal Work- At a young age Elie grew to love plants. She quickly learned they could be helpful or deadly. So she studies herbs and plants in order to make creams, chapstick, medicine and even poisons to help out the less fortunate. 10. Cooking- Because of her herbal work Elie grew to enjoy cooking and baking. However she only cooks or bakes when she isn't busy, other wise she orders food or her personal chef makes her food. Weaknesses / Flaws: Elie has a fair few weakness/fears/flaws but here a small list of couple.... 1. Tornadoes ((The high speed winds can sluf out her fire and if the Tornado is powerful enough it could kill her cutting off air to lungs. Tornadoes are deadly.)) 2. Deep Dark Water were she can't see the bottom. ((She controls fire....enough said. Water and fire don't mix but she'll panic and drown in deep dark water.)) 3. Her family and friends being harmed in anyway 4. Spiders 5. Centipedes 6. The fear of her anger getting the better of her and making her transform into her Devil Tigger Form. She hides this form due to her father's last words to her saying: "Never let them see weakness. Never let them know they have gotten under your skin. I am right here. I do agree there is a lot to read through but I am excited to create a superhero. However I don't have an idea yet, give it some time.

Well my intention is to replicate the rather wacky world of comics as a fan which are very kitchen sink so basically with the setting of the story it wouldn't be weird to see a talking racoon next to a barbarian next to a living good monster even. Basically go nuts. Superhero settings are rather wild. I've tried to set things up to mostly avoid the power struggle that tends to come with these types of things so no one feels caught out and communication is encouraged....or so that's my hope anyway.

Sounds good. I ironically have a racoon I may want to use. (Not exactly like Rocket, though). But tbh, I will try to find what seems to work better with the setting of the story, depending on what is picked as characters too. Something that would fit a kind of Invincible or Incredibles setting. Not too Marvel power abusive, something that fits juuust right.

Correct, Any race you want to play is fine.

So I imagine any race is fine? Having watched Invincible not long ago, this seems like a fun setting to try something new. Plus, Chiyako and Satai are here too so this could be interesting. I don't really have a good idea of what to create just yet, though. I have some characters in mind but that might require looking more time to find something perfect for this. :)

Excited to see what you come up with when you do! Some things probably need refinement but I'm hoping whats up gives people an idea of what they can do. Aiming for a good deal of freedom while keeping mostly on theme.

The Neighborhood they lived in wasn't entirely safe but it wasn't all bad. Marduk himself was a bit of a rambunctious kid who often got into spats with the big kids in the neighborhood until he landed with a group who mostly kept to themselves. They rather around the place often, and made every day some stupid adventure but they'd fight if they had to. Truthfully, his childhood was pretty unremarkable all things considered barring a move to Nahan Springs. Its there that Marduk would truly flourish as the cities almost impossible architecture provided the most interesting exploration. He'd make a new group of friends there, one of whom was the daughter of a villain although they wouldn't know that. Their families became good friends and often spent time together. Nahan Springs was an interesting place where on occasion a super villain would menace the place. He watched with rapt attention as a kid and idolized a hero named Big Flare. New York had its fair share of problems of course, but Nahan Springs became and felt like home more than anything else. He and his siblings got into some good schools and just lived life. Marduk often dreamed of being a hero, but more than that he wanted to do something to help them and so planned to join G.H.A.R.D. in the future as an operator. Life was simple and easy, near monthly apocalyptic scenarios aside. But the one day while with his friends and exploring an old, abandoned factory Marduk and his friends came across an old lab. Their curiosity got the better of them and they explored it and then they found something interesting...or rather Marduk did. He found a strange vial of some sort but before he could do the smart thing and put it back they group was spooked by some sort of noise so he pocketed it and ran with them. He only realized by the time he got home but swore he'd go return it after school....this did not come to pass. Another day in Nahan Springs and another superpowered brawl but this time he and his friends were caught up in it by accident. His friends father embroiled in battle with one of the various heroes. This wouldn't have mattered if his helmet hadn't been knocked out his head revealing himself at the wrong moment. It was shocking but worse his friend couldn't help but run after her father to try and help him and Marduk well...the families did everything together so he did too unaware that the hero damaged something important on her father's suit which was about to explode. Marduk couldn't help himself and tired to shield them just as it went off even with the hero there. He fully expected to die but instead as soon as the vial broke it expanded and covered him, absorbing into his skin and he began to suck in the energy of the device instead leaving everyone unharmed but surprised. There was little time to think about it as his friends father was arrested and taken to jail. His family took her in since they were so close and everything thought that was the end of it well except for the fact that Marduk was preforming above his usual abilities. It was incredible and he was only growing in strength and ability. He hid this from his family so they wouldn't be worried but he needed to understand what was going on and so...he snuck back to that lab and looked about until he found his answers. He had apparently fused with an experimental substance created by some Mad Scientist to give themselves more power but what it would really do was a mystery. He poured over the notes and it could have been a lot of things and so he went to the only person he thought could help in his friends father who managed to get him a test....off the books with another friend. It seemed that this substance combined with the energy he absorbed had changed him greatly. His was absorbing energy from his surroundings, increasing his capacity and it was theorized that the more he did so the stronger he'd be. He had Superpowers now but he had to decide what to do with them....as if that was difficult at all. He was at teen then, but he knew exactly what he wanted to do.... Personality: Despite his looks Marduck is actually a very friendly sort of person willing to befriend and relax with just about anyone as long as they want to do the same. He's always had a bit of a desire to stick up for the little guy, often to the point of getting intro trouble when he probably didn't need to. His natural curiosity leads to him being nosy beyond all reasons and with a bit of a broken filter he often can't stop himself from loudly prying. He's a pretty smart guy but he'll often do some stupid things because he's rather impulsive and its usually his second and third thoughts that will get him through as oppose to his first! He does want to appear cool and so often acts more aloof and cold than he actually is, but once he's friends with someone he's pretty much ride or die. He is a romantic at heart, maybe too idealistic to the point its silly but it also means he's rarely the story to give up even when it would be in his best interest to do so. He's actually a bit more emotional than it'd seem and with his powers this can often build until he has to release it. A passionate sort of guy who doesn't want to be seen that way normally. He's also hard-headed and will often pick his way over any other option, having to be forced to consider other options and perspectives meaning he'll often overstep bounds. His first costume as a flimsy mess but he went out with it happily and...perhaps a bit too fast as he wasn't too familiar with his powers yet. He tried to tackle and mugging and rather clumsily so. He couldn't even fly yet resulting in him running about on foot to get from place to place. His first run in with a Vile was a freak with Super Strength named Big Belly who was trying to stick up a bus. A simple villain, stupid really but he was....maybe a bit much even then with the fight being more one sided than Ubercharge had hoped. The villain got away although Ubercharge had done enough to make him drop the money. He had to sneak away after that. This sort of trend continued for a little while, Marduck getting used to the whole thing and studying other Valor's as he learned. Perhaps it would have been easier to register and get classes but he just....refused to do so. It didn't feel right to him. He had a desire to join a different team one day and decided to work towards that. Loss after loss and winning by the skin of his teeth Ubercharge never seemed to stay down. He eventually started getting better and better at the whole thing, learning how his powers worked and becoming more and more of a hero. ► Limits and Lessons Ubercharge was doing much better midway through the second year, but something about his powers had always bothered him. He didn't know what all he could do. He wondered if charging himself past human levels was his limit. It was a frustrating thing, and no one really knew his name. His wanted more and wanted to be more so when the opportunity presented itself he took it. A battle with a mad robot escaped from some military facility. He should not have been in that battle but he tried, this fight carrying on across downtown until some other Valor's joined in. It was frustrating really, so frustrating that Marduk could not focus on anything but that and as he did he began to absorb more energy from the area and those around him. He had absorbed so much energy....too much perhaps and he was hardly able to control it at all. It took him everything he had to direct the energy upward, firing all that energy in the sky in a beautiful show of force. It would have been incredible had he not drained his allies energies and left himself drained. He nearly got them killed and it was only the quick thinking of a G.H.A.R.D. hero's operator that allowed them to shut the machine down. It did teach him though that he needed to learn before he really got people killed. ► First Flight It had been a battle against another villain, this one destructive. He had tried to ignore it but the situation turned into an emergency pretty quickly. A few Valors had attempted to take him down but were struggling and back-up had been called they just needed to hold out but things looked disastrous. Ubercharge himself was bleeding badly and half out but he was on his feet. He was prepared to die to protect the people around him and prepared to rush in to fight when he heard a scream above them. A child hanging out of the ruined part of a building where they had been seeking shelter. He was stunned. Their grip slipping...he couldn't fly. He called for one of the others but they were far too out of it leaving him try and wrestle with the villain but he could not take his mind off the child in trouble and then...a wayward blast finally shook them loose. Everything seemed like it as slow motion. Ubercharge couldn't stop focusing. He was about to fail and badly...more than ever before. He reached out and jumped hoping to catch them and then he did? It took a moment but he realized he was...flying but well not for long as he ran out of energy once they got to ground. It was enough though as other heroes arrived to defeat the villain but he was...happy. He could fly, and somehow this meant more to him than anyone could imagine. ► Kaiju Panic! - Big Moment The seventh wave of Kaiju was particularly devastating in Nahan Springs. Many heroes were out of commission and several mechs were out of commission. Doom Blitz had staged an attack in the midst of their last battle and while they managed to push them back things were dire. R.E.D.I. had still not found an answer. Ubercharge was in bad shape....but doing all he could. It was all anyone could do at that time. They had hoped for rest until another Kaiju suddenly appeared. The heroes rose to meet it again but were all defeated. It all seemed so hopeless and in that moment, out of desperation and frustration the hero known as Ubercharge threw all caution to the end. Marduk took the skies and began absorbing as much as he could stand, pushing his body to its every limits until there seemed almost nothing left of him. He unleashed. He punched harder than he had ever punched and nearly tore apart his very body doing so....but it worked. A long shot, but it worked and the Kaiju threatening Nahan Springs and afterwards....no more Kaiju appeared at Nahan springs. Ubercharge couldn't really revel in that as he fell into a deep slumber for the rest of the event. He'd awaken to find all the monsters gone an the heroes having won another day. ► Joining Bright Alliance Ubercharge's abilities were finally being recognized especially after the Kaiju panic but he still had a long way to go, but that recognition earned him the opportunity of a lifesteam. He was invited to join Bright Alliance though only as a mid level....it was good enough. He accepted happily. ► Now Since then he's just been doing hero work, still doing his best to keep his lives separate and secret but he's long gotten the handle on things. He was at the front line of things during the Falling Stars event too and managed to minimize damage to his home and assist in recovery efforts in others. It notably acts as sustenance in a way so long as he is continually absorbing or full up allowing him to store the energy for a long time if not immediately controverted. Ambient Energy Conversion - Marduk is capable of converting ambient energy within himself and shifting it for his use. -------------Concentration: Marduk is capable of concentrating this converted energy into parts of his body for use [Ex. The Eyes for optic blasts] ---------------------Energizing: Marduk is able to greatly increase his physical abilities by converting the energy and supercharging his body [Ex. Shielding a greater area] Connection - Maruk is able to tell the health of the immediate area and those within it so long as there in energy to feel. Weaknesses: - Cannot absorb magical energy - Cannot absorb ambient energy where there is none - Limited amount of energy in store with every use draining. The bigger the use, the more is drained. - Must rest when he runs out of energy as he cannot begin absorbing more immediately, leaving him defenseless. - Able to damage himself by absorbing too much too quickly and overcharging himself. - Wounds actually leak energy, causing him to lose more the more damaged he is and make it difficult to hold onto.
