  3. I'm stupid and that took me a bit more effort than it should have Updated the setting to a megaregion so its easier for people to meet up, no changes requires by anyone obviously locations outside of that are still allowed it'll just be where I set most events when they're in the US. Kept some distance so people can branch of of course. Updated the skeletons a smidge. Wasn't much I could really do away with, no changes required for anyone of course.

  5. The Eclipsed City Population: 6,234,034 [Economy: Low | Safety: Low | Magical Presence: High | Supernatural Presence: High | Tech: High | Intrigue: Immense | Alignment: Vile] <Heroing status: Outlawed> The "Sister City" to Nahan Springs just across the Border, founded about the same time by rivals to the Goldstone brothers as one of the oldest parts of the Great Hand. It is the night to its day. It was initially founded by the "Circle of 3", a trio of businessmen who wanted to prove themselves better than those brothers. They dreamed of finding an even better way to show off the ingenuity of mankind. They dreamed of utopia. This dream, however, was taken and subverted by the Myriad Families for their own greed. This had led to the once promising city being beaten down, exploited, and twisted in a city that acts almost like a personal piggy bank for the most selfish of people. Crime families wage war in the streets, cults conduct rituals in its underground, the people seek escape through augmentation and illicit means, the people modify themselves looking for an escape and power, and the its rich only get richer. It is a massive city with an above ground and an underground city. The above ground city is a city of lights, but deep and incomparable darkness. The laws are flimsy and often only upheld by a weakened police force. The center of the city being the most protected and where the rich tend to live with the poorest only getting poorer as the streets expand out. Under them is a massive underground city initially meant to mimic the upper-tiered build of Nahan with something more feasible. Nicknamed the true Arikara it is an even more lawless and downtrodden place full of forgotten and disregarded people. Its source of light being the odd glass that acts as a viewfinder into the true nature of Arikara Falls. The city really comes to life at night and bathed in an almost hypnotic and calming blue light meant to hide its blemishes. The city is smoggy and often overcast due to it, reflecting its dark and disgusting soul...or at least what seems to be its soul. Heroes are practically banned from the city though it doesn't stop certain heroes from trying no matter what. A battle to save a city that could be...so much more. There is an undercurrent of good no matter how hard evil tries to squeeze the city and its people. Surviving here means you can survive anywhere....but you might not be sane by the time you try. Travel information: [50 minutes |Mega Rail| 2 hours |Car| Aman-shi] [40 minutes |Mega Rail| 1hours 20minutes |Car| Nahan Springs] [1 hour |Mega Rail| 2hours 40minutes |Car| Ketohland] Location: California, Near Nevada Border

  7. Aman-To Population: 3,234,034 Aman-Irumi Population: 3500 The Lover's Land [Economy: High | Safety: High | Magical Presence: Extreme | Supernatural Presence: Extreme | Extraterrestrial presence: Medium | Tech: High | Intrigue: Low | Alignment: Neutral] <Heroing status: Legal> The tale: Originally located in Honshu the Island of Aman-Irumi and city of Aman-Shi were magically teleported to the United States during the Weird Man's War in 1920 leaving large invisible portals in their wake. While they are physically in the United States, they are still connected to Japan leading to a rather odd situation that was dealt with by treaty incorporating them officially as jointly owned. They're one the youngest parts of the Great Hand Megaregion but has built itself up rather quickly. It is an incredibly magical pace, surrounded by a barrier between the material realm and the realm of demons which provides its primary source of danger it was weakened greatly in the Weird Man's War, but it is otherwise rather idyllic and peaceful. Its one of the highest center of non-human population in the states due to its spiritual connection which makes it a popular spot to visit as well as acting as a bridge between two nations if one leaves the right way, or enters the right way. It is, in its own way, rather isolated despite belonged to a populous mega region due to its practically being stuck in a pocket space with no knowledge available on how to fix it. The town and the city are quite different as well with Aman-Shi being more advanced and forward thinking and Aman-Irumi being more traditional and spiritual. They do work in concert to make quite the unique pair however. At night things get much more dangerous as the veil weakens further so most threats tend to strike at that time, or rather, the most dangerous threats do. It is advised that tourists to the area mind themselves. 9. Population: 3,642,123 The Scarred City [Economy: Recovering | Safety: Low | Magical Presence: Extreme | Supernatural Presence: High | Tech: Low | Intrigue: Low | Alignment: Neutral] <Heroing status: Registration Required otherwise outlawed> A once more populous city that has seen better days. A normal city by all means, growing rapidly once upon a time. It had its fair share of heroic activity, its villains and more but nothing about the city every truly stuck out...at least not until Atlantis attacked in 1972. It was a horrible war, with the city getting the worst of it resulting in a large portion of the bustling city being submerged and the death of millions. While various Valor's did manage to prevent more damage the sting of this was never forgotten and as a result the cities outlook changed. While the city did not outright ban Valor's they became paranoid. A wall was built to keep the sea at bay but within the old ruins of the city that was one Ketohland new life moves in. Old relics of the war remained, and old secrets began to emerge. It became rather popular to explore and dive there once the War ended and though Ketohland still shows sign of ware this has kept them from being abandoned...even if the city is a bit tense with things not natural. Still the city, while trying to remain normal, does remain functional and has been growing. Its not a safe place as the magic left over from the water has continued to influence things and no one is quite sure where the city will end up, but as a stark reminder of how dangerous things can get in the world it remains a bit of an interest. Travel information: [20 minutes |Mega Rail| 40 minutes |Car| Aman-shi] [1 hour |Mega Rail| 2hours 40minutes |Car| Arikara Falls] [2 hour |Mega Rail| 4hours 40minutes |Car| Nahan Springs] Location: California Coast

  11. The Shining City Population: 8,234,034 [Economy: Immense | Safety: High | Magical Presence: Medium | Supernatural Presence: Medium | Tech: High | Intrigue: High | Alignment: Valor] <Heroing status: Legal> One of the oldest parts of the Great Hand Megaregion, Nahan Springs lies 1 hour away from its dark reflection Arikara Falls. Nahan Springs was the vision of the Goldstone brothers Alan Goldstone, and Kenneth Goldstone otherwise known as Chrysos and Mighty Midas respectively. Mighty Midas took control of the city after defeating his rogue brother in the 1920s, but continued the dream using his vast wealth and knowledge to creative something amazing. It is a sprawling metropolis of extremely large (if not impossible) structures, advanced technology, and endless secrets. It is a city built upward towards the sky and even seems to have its own clouds. Heaven on Earth. A shining reflection of will and what could be. A monument to excess, ingenuity, and desire. The sun reflecting off its gilded structures mirroring the tendency for good that the people of the city are thought, or rather, hoped to embody. Known for its technological development, classical vibe, and beautiful displays its a popular place and despite the occasional machinations of mad scientists and greedy politicians it is the place to be. Its more salient dangers lie more with greedy business, government organizations with no oversight, "classy" crime families, and mad science. Those at the top often vying for the soul of the city, often self-serving and wanting to be the face of the city. It is, however, a mecca of heroes and as such no scheme goes unpunished...at least when it can't be spun into positive PR. The people are a bit naive but that's the result of living a fairly good life in city made after a dream. It does maintain a very pristine image although there is a poor area known as the "Lantern District" made up of poorer housing that often sees crime on the lowest "rung" of the city. Its fairly manageable if forgotten. Welcome to the Shining City where humanity can touch the sky. Travel information: [hour 30minutes |Mega Rail| 3 hours |Car| Aman-shi] [40 minutes |Mega Rail| 1hours 20minutes |Car| Arikara Falls] [2 hours |Mega Rail| 4hours 40minutes |Car| Ketohland] Location: Nevada, near Border to California
  12. [Location: Nahan Springs, Downtown area] It was as sudden as it was frightening. A black spot in sky, stars that were once observed were simply...gone. No one understood what it meant, no one knew what it meant. This ominous void that suddenly appeared, and devoured ancient lights. Then...there came a message, a warning, carried on the air with a furious roar in the minds of all who could be reached. It didn't matter the origin, or the language. It didn't matter the state or the allegiance. It was a message to be understood. [THEY COME. PREPARE. THEY COME. PREPARE. THEY C-] Then...there was deep silence. The winds stopped, as if reacting with fear. It was not soon after when the void grew larger and R.E.D.I. mobilized. They did not have much time but they were able to ascertain that what was approaching was a massive ship of some sort. It was moving at a rapid speed leaving them little time to truly prepare. R.E.D.I. sent out the call and got to work. It was only a week... Now, years in the sky have opened and loom above cities all around the world and everyone waits with baited breath. R.E.D.I. still searching for an answer to this new crisis. In Nahan Springs a shelter has been built and a call for heroes to defend the city has gone out hoping that their defense will be adequate. No one knows when it will begin but as heroes gather all anyone can do is wait and try to stay safe....
  13. Noble Ember looked up hearing Everglow as she smiled. "Everglow?" She asked following his voice. Her heels clicking on the ground as she appeared in from the right side. "What's going on here?" She asked looking over seeing Everglow, a man and a young female. "Did I intrude on something?" She asked walking over to Everglow.
  14. Something had pulled Jurgen here. Not physically, but a sense of something, some purpose deep within him. It must be Nemesis, he thought, as he grabbed his chest as if he could quiet the pull he was feeling. The will of the goddess was inside him know, buried in his subconscious, in his being. The nagging feeling had only gotten stronger recently, he had ignored it for a while, but eventually, he had given in and found himself here. People had been streaming from the city, Jurgen was one of the few trying to head into the city. The disorderly masses of people fleeing made him quite uneasy. No matter, there was something he needed to find or do here, but what was it. He had done what he could as a volunteer, he had some medical training years back, enough for first aid and then some. For a few hours he had helped. Wearing a neon orange safety vest and an armband that identified him as a volunteer, he had given out water, tended to scrapes and directed people to the corridors to leave. Trying to order the chaos. When he heard a commotion deeper into the city from where he was, he took off to investigate. Normally he might have not, but that feeling was back pulling him deeper.

Discovering an ancient artifact while on a dig, a suit of hoplite armor. When he took it out of the soil to study it, translating the Greek inscriptions etched on the bronze, the armor dissolved into green glowing sparkles, swirling around him and finally being absorbed by him, imbuing him with divine power. Funny thing was though, power of the goddess Nemesis, changed his body to that of a girl, looking to be in her young 20s, which was an absolute shock to Jurgen. Over time the power dissipated and he returned to normal, but the power stayed locked within him. He was found by a fellow goddess, Athena and learned over the months, how to bring the power of Nemesis out, allowing him to transform into and out of the form of red haired Nemesis at will, though he has yet to fully test his powers. 16. "You don't want to...what? Face justice?" he asked his eyes glows dimming a little. He stood tall over the two before he observed the man stumble forward as though something was wrong. No look of concern came over the ionized hero. Towards him, almost threatening but the hero knew that a simple man such as this couldn't hurt him even if he wanted to. He reached forward, tangling his large hands in the man's shirt and as if lifting a feather he lifted the man upward off the ground. He cocked his hand back. Measured of course because as angry as he was he did have a code and that was to not kill....but a little pain was a good reminder. He only hesitated because of the woman's words. She looked worried. That was odd. He couldn't understand why she was trying to protect him and from her words it sounded like he was mad with lust or something. That was obvious in a way. He looked to the man, eyes narrowed "She doesn't want you hurt. Settle down and comply and I won't." a stern warning. This man was outmatched. And then another voice. Noble Ember had finally caught up to them so he'd turn and call out "Back here!" loud enough for his voice to carry to her and hopefully lead her to them. He could have this woman escorted someplace safe then. He would turn to her once the man was dealt with "You're safe now." he said prepared to throw the man over his shoulder so he could fly him off hopefully someplace where he couldn't hurt anyway. A little something to tie up his arms. A place heavy controlled so that once this was over? He could be dealt with. He didn't have time to focus on this man but a small stop over was easy. This was now how his city operated at least...he liked to believe it didn't. It was sometimes hard to believe his city was so great when staring something like this in the face. He knew most were good but to try to take advantage like this? It was the actions of a villain. He didn't like those wandering freely. No matter even this man had to acknowledge there was nothing he could achieve in this situation with at least two Valors in the area, three if Gamer Girl was still out front. He'd have to be a fool to try anything else.
  17. Noble Ember had walked a good distance before she grabbed the mall. She looked around feeling like she could Everglow around. "Was this the way he went." She asked under her breathe. She had been there earlier that day to do her book signing. She stepped over some rumble as she looked around. Before speaking up. "Hello is there anyone here. If so please speak up and I'll help you to safety." She said her heels clicking against the ground seeing books from the bookstore in the rumble as she walked pass. ((Sorry for the long wait. I have been in hospital and I am slowly getting back into the grove of things. My replies will get longer I promise.))
  18. *excited, but not expectant twiddling*
  19. Will reply today again (gonna go see Superman first) Probably gonna make the skeletons a little lighter lighter for the future. No changes required for anyone already made of course. I am also gonna make the cities closer as a primary setting so its easier to rationalize meeting up between events but of course there can be locations apart from that for both events and characters. Shouldn't require changes from anyone really so far.
  20. as a side note posted! now to return to the twiddling!
  21. angela was in a situation, adjacent to being of her own making, but right now she was caught up with a pheromone crazed, knife wielding, psyco who she was assuming was an absolute nutcase of a man even on a good day... lets take a moment, to talk about Jerad, said psyco with a knife. on a good day he worked retail, trying to make ends meet so he can afford the medical bills his sister needs for her treatments, they are all that was left after their parents got into the car accident when the two of them where kids after all. he even turned to less... clean ways to make money to try and make ends meet, got mixed up with the wrong crowd in more then one way. but at the end of the day he never hurt anyone, never wanted to anyways. and here he was, his mind clouded, his eyes lit with a faint pink hue, not fully... there in the moment as he stared down that super, the pink in his eyes darkening as he seemed to try and catch his breath right next to Angela of all places, his fake smile growing just a little defensive, just a little aggressive as he spoke "there are some things you shouldn't interrupt man, just go... just.." his eyes cleared for a moment "...I don't want to, I..." before his eyes flushed back pink as he started stumbling forward, seemingly unfazed by the molten hole that scared the crap out of him moments prior, as he started lunging towards the hero, trying to protect what he seems to think is his prize, his right. all well angela looked on in a mix of horror, shame, and fear as she managed to stutter out a few words "Dont hurt him! he's... not all... there right now..." back to angela, proper, she was absolutely not a fan of what was going on, getting flashes of the mans past in her head well one of her eyes saw through his perspective as she braced against the wall... barely getting the words out a moment prior, trying to... stabilize herself well getting across the idea that this man... Jerad, was not trying to do this... well trying to keep the details of what was happening from the super... why the hell was this the way today was going? she just wanted an autograph from her favorite author...
  22. THE THUMB TWIDDLES WERE WORTH I REPEAT THUMB TWIDDLES WORTH!!!
  23. And posted, day got busy as soon as I said I was getting to it!
  24. "That type of behavior might be accepted in Arikara Falls but here?" the heroes eyes would glow brighter as a glowing beam shot out just past the man. The nearby wall stood no chance, a hole the size of the man's head burned right into it allowing them to peer right through. Energy streamed from the verdant heroes pupils in a slow, almost smoke like display. It was...difficult to see just where his gaze was beyond the glowing lenses and yet it would be clear he was still staring the man down. Everglow didn't kill. That was a known thing but in a situation like this? Perhaps adjustments could be made. That was the threat being made anyway. There was little a simple man could do against a hero, at least, a simple man who didn't ply their trade in the sort of insanity that might make them a threat. "Things are all tied up right now so I'll let you off with a warning." he said "But any further moves? Any further trouble and maybe I'll throw you at that ship to see if we can get them to open up." he said. Beyond them things were going quiet again. A quick bout of insanity overtaken by the pressure of the storm. This man and this woman were the last of it although still there was something...off about this woman that he couldn't place. He pushed it to the back of his mind again to focus on the task at hand. Helping a woman in need. Here was hoping the man ran off without further fuss. Everglow didn't really want to deal with this sort of thing with the situation as it was. The Police Station were all busy so a little drop-off could be done but now with danger looming. He did expect better of his city, but these were strange times. They just had to keep on their toes and remain strong for it even if it felt like at any moment the shoe could drop. "Get to the shelter. While you still have time or get out of my city." was all he had to say then. His warning was given, and his ultimatum followed. It was up to this man to be smart.
  25. Lol it was a holiday yesterday. Was busy. Getting to stuff today
  26. the thumb twiddles, did in fact, not pay off.
