A bath certainly did sound nice to her. She didn't know how long it had been since she had one. Sure, she appeared to be clean when she got here but she still didn't quite feel as though she had been cleaned. That and a proper bath could just feel excellent! In the back of her mind something told her that she used to take baths with others. A pack, perhaps? Pack? Pack. My pack. Ears perked straight up as the man returned, the wolf pausing mid-lick, tongue curled out and tip just about to brush between two fingers. As it retreated back into her maw Miu settled her hand down and placed all of her attention upon the owner of the room. When he settled upon the bed she crept over, settling in to a squatted seat in front of the bed. Crimson orbs settled upon the rectangular object. It felt only slightly familiar. At least certain aspects of it did. Jason pointed towards himself. Stated his name. In response she nodded once. This she understood. Something was scratched into the object. When it was aimed towards her Miu was greeted by something unfamiliar to her. It was similar in a way to the things which were etched on the doors. She had understood those. Something made her understand them. Or perhaps it was something she knew before, something she had simply forgotten. This, however, was not clear to her. Her head tilted slightly to one side.

Tired. Lovely? That word took a little extra time to sink in. He was probably just being kind. It was the sort of thing people said to be kind. At least very formal people used it that way. Something told her that this was the truth. It was familiar. She had probably interacted with this sort of person before. It sounded as though he was about to leave. Or perhaps he was going to ask her to leave? She didn't exactly know as the man ended up cutting himself off mid-sentence, climbed to his feet, and ventured back to the first room. Having not received any proper instruction the little wolf decided to raise a hand to her face, sniffing at it. It still smelled like meat. She took the brief time waiting to lap at her fingers and palms, focusing on the little gaps where juices might have eluded her earlier cleaning attempt. Should clean. Bath.

"I'm very tired, my lovely young wolf," Ayers said. "So, I hope that you'll excuse me." He sighed. "I wish that I knew your ..." A thought suddenly occurred to him, and he quickly climbed to his feet, went back into the sitting room, and fetched a sketch pad and pencil that was sitting on an end table near his chair.

The calming of Jason's breathing, as well as the steadying of his heart, indicated that her plan had worked! Somehow! He was calming. Returning. All was well again, although she knew not exactly why he had acted as he did. With a slight nod of her head Miu raised her other hand and gently set it atop the man's head, patting softly a couple of times. It was all fine! Of course the other hand was still trapped, and so it remained put, however she did not apply too much pressure to the burn scars, worrying that it might perhaps set him off again. What happens now? Maybe I should go? Let him rest?

Soft slightly sloppy sounds seem to approach the lobby slowly before a bright red slime girl half stumbles into the lobby, each step leaving behind a faint puddle that quickly recollects itself before rushing back into the tired looking "girls" leg, fusing back into her body just for the next step to leave behind another little puddle as the cycle repeats. The gooey girl was wearing a white T shirt along with a pair of shorts, which wouldn't be worth mentioning if not for the fact that both where spotless despite their owner looking like one large spill of red wine herself, she stumbled in holding a large pillow she was clutching looking tired and annoyed as her words wined out in high pitched tone, sounding faintly muffled by water "miss ari... I forgot my room again... where should I go to sleep?" It took her a few long moments to notice there was a BIG influx of newbies in the loby with her, a happy smile spreading on the red of her lips... and the red of her face... and the red... of her teeth... all of her red looked happy to see the people "heeey there! Welcome to hotel California, its a lovely place once you get to know it!"

Celeste notices someone right beside him and looks over to them. He looks at the Satyr, she nods at him and he politely nods back. "I was so focused on the lobby and how I got here that I completely ignored my surroundings. Should I greet her? Yes! Yes I should, better be awkward than impolite." He thought about how he could greet her but then she talked to someone else. First a panda women but then another human, a woman that was standing at the lobby entrance. She looked a bit intimidated, the Satyr waved her over and talked to her. She said that the fox girl behind the counter was "flirty" that was his chance to introduce himself. So he said to the girl at the entrance: "She also smells incredibly well". After that he turned to the Satyr and introduced himself to her "Hello I am sorry I didn't introduce myself, my name is Celeste. It's nice to meet you." He then began to eye up the Satyr. "Her clothes are quite simplistic but it still looks quite good on her" his eyes soon wandered across her crotch. His eyes widened for a moment as he noticed the 'package' she was carrying with her. He quickly got a hold of himself again and smiled at her like it was nothing.

Alais stood at the desk and kept looking around, focusing on tiny details that she may have missed before. Huh. The ceiling had odd patterns that looked to be flowers of some sort. She turned to get the short girl's(?) attention but gasped a bit when she didn't see her anywhere. Sneaky...She took off without Alais even noticing! "Woah..." She gave a few nods of praise. Welp, back to focusing on meaningless details to keep her from being too aroused! Odd, she could've sworn she heard the door- DEAR CHRIST! Alais nearly jumped out of her skin when she saw the young man standing nearly right beside her. How did he manage to get so close without her realizing!? Calm down, calm down... Okay! No need to get so scared, everything is fine... She gave the young man a friendly nod and stood up straight. Just when she was about to give her greetings, another woman showed up! A very...beautiful woman... The clothing she had on barely covered anything and left nothing to the imagination... Hm? A panda woman? She could've sworn those were extinct where she came from... She must be from a whole different continent then! Even the man seemed to be... Not many humans stayed around her city. "Hi-" She was stopped again by the sudden arrival of another person! This woman seemed to be human as well, though she was a lot more nervous than the man beside Alais. She waited and waited for the woman to approach but she never came. Alais gave her another minute before waving her over. "Come on over. Nobody is going to bite.... Though the fox-lady might do something else..." She caught herself, making sure to specify. "She is very flirty..."

Ari's Presence? [OOC Question]
LEROZERO replied to AJoeOfSubjectiveQuality's topic in Hotel California's Suggestions Box
I am probably about to reply, I was just waiting for Ash since everybody has already taken to their rooms. -
She found herself in front of the door. How did she get here. Her mind was a complete haze before this moment. Vague memories of another place. Dark. She had been trying to get to something. Or was it away from something. There were other people there, but it was a blur. She could not picture anything about them. How did she end up there? What was she before? She did not remember. The only other thing she remembered was her name. Nadia. Had she tripped on something. She had a vague memory of hitting her head just before this. She did not know where it was, but it looked much more pleasant. She took a breath, stepped inside. She wanted to say she had been in a building like this before, but she was fairly certain she had never been inside this particular place. There were some figures ahead of her. But she was cautious, she did not approach, until someone approached or called to her. Best if it was someone who worked here. She did not have money though. That could be a problem, but she would figure out where she was first. Find out if she had to leave quickly.

Name: Nadia Deforest Age: 22 Race: Human (undead?) Gender: Futa Sexuality: Strong prefence for women or other futas (uncomfortable around men) Bio: A confused individual. She remembers little of her past. Some vague memories of a prison. Darkness. Did she hit her head or something? She remembers almost nothing else or how she woke up at the gates to the hotel. What will she do now? That will be answered later. For now it is a place to rest. Figure out what is next for her. Will she follow an old path, or find something new? Why does her body feel a little cool? Why doesn't her heart seem to beat? Who cares. She has to figure out what to do next first. Picture

It is warm. He is warm. A large hand closed around her own. She kept it where it was, thin digits gently brushing across the rough skin, offering little squeezes of her fingertips. Perhaps touch alone could not work. Smell would be difficult. Taste? She would not risk the dangers of that sort of thing. Not with someone who knew not where he was, nor with her own sharpened teeth. Cannot speak. What did she do when she needed someone's attention with sound? Lips parted slightly. It had to be something non-aggressive. A grunt or a growl probably would not work. Howling? It felt familiar, however probably not helpful here. A bark? Also too aggressive. Whimper? He might think that he was hurting her. From the wolf-like girl emerged a quiet yip. Something sharp to the senses, but not threatening. It came to her naturally. Perhaps this was how she communicated to her own people? Or was it just something that she had learned to do? She did not know, but in the moment she hoped that it might help.

He couldn't breathe. His heart pounded in his temples. The voices of two women thundered in his mind. "Ata tachia ad shtashlam al hat'ehem 10,000 pa'amim!" You will live until you pay for their sins 10,000 times! "As for payment, I am afraid you have already paid." Not yet. Drowning, he reached for the small hand on his neck, his lifeline for this moment.

It is nice. This is nice. A gentle touch was something precious. It was the sort of thing that brought her comfort, the sort of thing that was familiar to her but also something that she knew she had lacked in whatever world she had come from. These sorts of gentle moments had been rare. The scars which littered her body probably came from what made up a majority of her life. Her closed eye opened when the man knelt before her flinched. Something had afflicted him. Perhaps it was a memory? Some thing that he had forgotten in his own world? Or maybe something that had happened in this one. She knew not of his origin, just as she had lost the memories of her own. They only thing that was clear to her was the source of these painful memories: a scar which appeared to run along the man's neck. Hoping to offer the same sort of comfort that he had offered to her, Miu reached a hand up and slipped it past the man's flailing hand. Fingers brushed gently, carefully across the old burn wound. There was no hesitation on her part, not from his slapping hand nor the scar itself. She hoped that something physical would shatter whatever hex lay upon the man's mind. It felt as though this sort of thing had worked in her own past, whether it had been used on her, by her, or on another.
-
Touching her scar made him fight to restrain a blink; he'd forgotten about them. More accurately, his mind was ... erasing them from his view of her. He was seeing her not so much as she was but as he wished her to be. But the touch grounded him. Touch was the only true sense, the one that you cannot hide from or fool. As a result, he was a very tactile person. Not to mention that he had his own scar. Falling to the ground, the barbarian atop him ... straining to keep the knife back as he tried to force his own into the man's side ... faces inches apart, both snarling ... burning embers from a kicked fire in the melee spilled onto his neck and into his armor ... he was burning, on fire, but to lose focus was to die. Memory betrayed him in that moment and he flinched, wincing, gasping, left hand reaching up to slap out the terrible flames in his mind.

@DriftingAsh May we assume Ari's presence even if you're not around to play her to fulfill reasonable service requests such as food or drink orders at the bar? Also, is her presence ubiquitous? That is, could there be a circumstance where a character walks into the bar, sees it empty, and goes around to pour their own drink, or maybe even act as an ad hoc bartender?
-
Ari stands behind the check-in desk immaculately carved out of a rare redwood. A small bell sits on the desk along with large leather bound book and a bright lamp illuminating the desk. Ari’s nipples can be seen poking through her bodysuit as if she simply always aroused with a friendly smile on her pretty face. She nods to YC as they walk up to her before grabbing the large book and opening the cover ”Hello friend! Welcome to Hotel California! How may I help you?” Ari politely asks as she openly examines you head to toe. The two white and glowing blue tipped fox ears on her head twitch with curiosity. Glowing blue wisps float around Ari as her fox tails wag back and forth happily. The room is well illuminated by warmly glowing lights on the ceiling and walls as well as light post spread evenly throughout. The room is well furnished with a comfortable sitting area equipped with a small coffee table surrounded by dark blue leather bound couches and chairs. Ari smells faint of cherry blossoms and the pure essence of arousal, a smell that often gets most people excited whether they expect it or not.
