This topic is where you create monster characters the appear in Vern for Heroes to fight on Quests. You can introduce a monster that you made into one of the topics of Lands of Vern, having them cause trouble for a village or person. That will cause a Quest to be made to hunt that monster and when the Heroes get there and find them, your monster character will have to fight them. The fight can end in four ways, 1)The monster is killed, 2)the monster is captured and taken to The Hold, a place where monsters are cared for and raised, mostly to collect Items from them or to study.3)The monster can Escape and appear later in a new location or 4)the monster can become a Famili…

Familiars were animals of Vern that were affected by the Blessing and became a supernatural version of themselves, with a new amplified body, 1 to 3 powers and human or slightly below intelligence. This Animals could bond with a Gifted human that has close Blessing energy with them and once a link was made, the two would be inseparable. The way to form a link was done through time spent together. In very rare cases, a Monster can become a familiar, but the only way to create a bond with them is through sexual acts.

The the event, called the Blessing, that caused a pillar of light to flood Vern with strange energy caused some some humans to develop powers or Gifts(See the Gift Info topic for more about that.) It also causes monsters to appear from strange rifts that appear across the world. A system was made where men with Gifts could join a Hero Guild in the capital City to be trained and paid to fight the monsters. A War Hero was made the leader or GuildMaster of the new Hero Guild and was in charge of picking new recruits and maintaining order. New Heroes had to be at least 17 to join and were paired with a veteran Hero to train under and go on a their firsts Quest with. …
