As you step into the port, you catch yourself in the middle of the bustle and hustle of the large crowd, for the wasteland anyway, of the fisherman and traders of Gateport. Boxes, Crates, and make-shift carrying vessels that some trader was able to scrap together and put his stuff in are being carried to and fro, in and out of the few boats on dock. Most of the boats are small little fishing boats, owned by the few who are willing to put in the time and effort required to find the few non-radiated fish out in the Gulf of Mexico. The main event, however, is The Ship, the large steam ship that has put the city of Gateport on the map. That is where most of the stuff is going in and out of.

The rest of the port is mostly just warehouses, buildings made up of wood, scrap metal, and the ruins of whatever old world town or city used to be here. The cargo of traders is kept here, waiting for the next time The Ship makes its way through the coast. There is also a small market for fish out here in the port, some fisherman wanting to sell their stuff directly, as fresh as it can get out here, rather than bring it over to the market. It does have the unfortunate side effect of making the entirety of the port smell like fish, but, honestly, that might be an improvement.
