A new world awaits (Hephaestus and Lusterless)

[Hephaestus]

Daniel Yeager, 30 year old former army ranger and school teacher sat on a park bench having lunch. At 6ft tall, he was a man's man, still struggling with the war. Afghanistan had been no joke and it left him in many ways off. Thats why he enjoyed working with children as a teacher, it got him away from all that. He had no way of knowing things were about to change for him in a big way. For him it was just Tuesday and he wondered when he would do with an unexpected day off. 

 

Across dimensions a battle raged that was ripping a hole through space. It was brutal and bloody and the amount of brutality was outright crazy. No one could guess a small girl was ripping a monster apart. It roared and screamed and thrashed in violent fury at her trying to catch her. No one knew where they would come out or when, that had been the risk to stop this beast. The die was cast, and fate interceded as 2 world linked for just a moment to bridge the gap between them.

This wasn't about the bounty anymore. Not about the fun of things. This was a fight for her life. Chloe could feel her body ache, the taste of blood in her mouth, and the medal of her swords vibrate with each clash. But even if she was getting wounded, she was winning. The monster was the one who was about to bleed out. "Haaaaah!!" With all the strength she had left, she rushed forward past the danger, the monster desperately tried to escape using a portal, but her blades were already embedding themselves into its body.

In the next moment, there was a bright flash of light, the sound of a thud, followed by subtle sounds similar to bubbling cola. Slowly but steadily, it was dissolving right in front of her. Chloe laughed. She actually won this one. But as the monster vanished, she noticed something was off. She was in a temple just a bit ago. Now though? She was outside. The air smelled a bit weird, but there was definitely grass and trees around her. Well... Probably. Hard to tell with her vision going fuzzy.

Now that her body had time to remind her how bad her condition actually was, Chloe stumbled around aimlessly, trying to find a safe spot to rest at. Could she climb a tree like this? No. Her legs were about to give up. And it just got worse. It was now that she noticed a presence close to her and raise one of her swords towards it, spinning her body a bit too fast. "No further." she quietly said as she continued to step backwards until her back got against a tree. What... Who was this?

Dan held his hands out and up "woah woah easy easy, im a friend. Your hurt, your bleeding and if you don't see a doctor you'll die." He said. "Put the blades down honey, just put them down and we can get a doctor" he said easing towards her but staying out of her striking range. "My name is Dan, whats your name honey?" He asked her trying to get her to relax and listen to him.
