The Arcane Empire of Thorne

The Archmage of Thorne originally built his tower here. His magic stabilized the land arounding allowing the people who lived her take advantage of trade. As the Archmage grew more powerful his influence grew. He enlisted soldiers to defend the villages and the land slowly grew into a mighty city.

Under the arcane influence of their ruler the people of Thorne started to adapt elemental features. Skin of stone, breaths of fire, lightness like air, and flexibility like water.

300 years ago the Archmage of Thorne split himself in 4. One being to focus on a specific element. They each travelled an equal distance from the city to establish new towers, each which has become powerful cities in their own right and each which are connected by a network of leyline which are slowly pulling them closer to Thorne.
