Origin Story: 
Rumi was born in a very small town to a poor and fairly solitary family. Her father was a drunk and her mother was a weak woman who often sat by and did nothing as her father raged and ran riot through their small rundown abode.  Rumi was withdrawn, quiet as she grew up with only school being a sanctuary away from the hell that was her household. She often found any excuse to stay there for hours even after school ended until she was physically dragged home. She hated living, but on the day the music club opened she felt...compelled to join. It was a genuine way to escape her home for longer and so she did it. She didn't really like music at first or at least she thought so. Her parents hated music so she did too....but the longer she spent in the club the happier she felt.

The other kids, who normally didn't so much as look at her, seemed to accept her and enjoy her presence. It felt great and so Rumi slowly warmed up to and began to excel more with music even as...the more time she spent away from home the more her parents seemed to resent her. Her treatment at home grew worse and the more it did she grew attached to the music club until one day by chance during a rare trip she and some members of the club were discovered by a scout. He took a liking to them and promised to help them out. Rumi wasn't so lucky at least at first. Her parents didn't want to travel and didn't want to let her go off "on her own" and sometimes locked her away to prevent her for sneaking off.

It was only with the promoter and her would be teacher....a foreigner named Sybil talking to them and promising to do the rest that they let her off the leash a little bit. It still wasn't easy but she had an escape and she flourished. Perhaps, however, through that Rumi also learned that the world outside her small little town had its own issues. Sleazy business and all but she was so desperate for escape she refused to give in. She was taught by two teachers primarily. The first was a blind woman named Sybil, kind but rather somber. She did seem to care so much and so looked over Rumi best she could. The other was Yuya, a more boisterous man but one who seemed wise. He always seemed to have some lesson unrelated to music that she could take to heart. She came to love them both dearly but was unaware that they both led different lives. She was unaware that she was caught in a battle between two opposing forces....and she wouldn't learn until it was too late. The Weeping Ghost of the Theater, and The Roaring Eye of God.

Life was just going so much better....she would have never guessed what turn it would take.

That change began when her teacher, Sybil, took the lives of several people. It was a shock. She didn't understand it. She sought answers and she received two. Sybil told her of her past, and why she did what she did. She warned her to be wary of Yuya, but Rumi couldn't bear to think the man she regarded as another father was evil and so...she asked him....the last man Sybil tried to kill.  Yuya.
Yuya was honest with her and shockingly so but something about his words got to Rumi. Her eyes, he noted, were more special than Sybil's who was born without. She did try to push back against this but something in her couldn't help but accept. Two answers and two paths......

She chose Yuya....not sure at first but Rumi was afraid. She didn't want to go back to her old life. Both her teachers had their secrets, their thoughts but the more Rumi thouht the more she couldn't bear the thought of there even being a chance to go back to that. She chose Yuya. He seemed delighted at that and told her that her eyes were special, but that she could see so much more. She could see what Sybil never could, just as she was meant to. Her eyes were special. She agreed to let him show her everything and then she went to sleep. When she awoke she could see it all. The lies. The hatred. The Anger. The Lust. The...intent. She could see it all and it horrified her. If the world was this....corrupted then what was she to do?

She remained by her mentor's side while exploring this, even with pleas from Sybil trying to turn her away from the path she was on, but Yuya was right. The world was broken. It was dirty. Its people were fools. Her parents were fools...and they were as blind as her former teacher. She had been dealt a poor hand but now she was able to understand it.

She turned to Yuya for answers and left her other teacher behind.

"Take whats yours. Burn the rest."

She would never go back to that life. The world was so ugly. What was "worth" saving she had to take for herself and damn the rest. Those little bits of life God had left? All for her just like Yuya said and with that? She vanished for a little bit. She left behind both her teachers having finally made a choice....and when she returned she would carve the world and take what she wanted. 

Whatever Rune was now? It wasn't what she was before. She came back different almost like she was someone new. It sure felt nice being someone new....
She became a star, though one with a fairly inconsistent schedule still...she seemed to enjoy this fame and all it came with, and what she did in her off time no one knew. Like a ghost she slipped in and out of public eye.

If only the people knew....

Personality:
Rumi, on the surface, is a pretty simple and sweet girl. She's a well spoken and ultimately respectful woman who seems to see the bright side at all times and look for the best in people. She's a bit overly curious and perhaps far too trusting, but she's strong willing to take any amount of pressure with a smile. She also appear to be very inquisitive and a quick learner with a hunger for knowledge. Sweet and caring which is just what she needs to be.

Rumi, under the surface, is a selfish creature. A domineering presence who believes in her way over anyone else's. She is filled with a quiet aggression, and is easily frustrated with people and things. She doesn't hold them in high regard and is more than willing to try and tear them down if they have no interest to her. She cares more for her fun than for the little man.  A two-faced snake who just wants to see everything collapse. She'll gets hers, fuck the rest.

Rumi is a product of her frustrations who is searching for something to make her world brighter. She loves, but whatever she loves she covets with a passion unmatched and what she hates? She wants destroyed. She is broken and angry, unsure of who she is or what she wants but she knows she wants. Her desires are everything to her, and she deeply fears not having what she desires so is willing to lie, manipulate, and force those desires.

She is a bit of a confusing mess of a person....searching for something.

Costumed History:
► First Song
A celebration is nothing without music! And this is what Sound Specter brought when she first appeared. It had been a celebration for another performer but upon their taking the state the Specter appeared.

The spirit began to play and everything went mad, turning into a bloodbath in which there were few survivors. She vanished as the authorities came, like a ghost. It left everyone confused and frightened but for the next few months she had a habit of just appearing! High profile, or even within the office the spirit came and drove the people mad. She played them music they could not handle. Blood followed, or chaos merely ensued. No one knew what to make of it but the news dubbed her the Song Specter....but rather it was difficult to tell if she really existed.  A few Valors attempted to find her, but there was never any luck. She came, killed, and left with seemingly no one yet able to stop her.

The ensuing mystery of her presence drove investigations which turned up little but her legend had begun...and she was quite happy.

► Broken Records
A year of terrorizing had gone by, and with every high profile disruption her legend grew until finally a psychic managed to expose her. It didn't matter to Specter as she made it a game and for the next year appeared and fought the various Valors or even aided Vile's if she wanted. Come and go, a dangerous song followed that saw several Valor's fall at her feet but none worthy enough to really hold her attention.

This was at least until a magical girl gave her a good run for her money. The two clashed quite often with Song Specter even losing some of these engagements though she managed to escape before being apprehended. This game continued until Sound Specter gained a new song, and with this new song she defeated the Magical Girl. She had taken enough interest in her, but that was no boon for her enemy as she proceeded to humiliate her nemesis on live television. Sound Specter vanished soon after that.

It wouldn't be the first time she did such a thing. Losing to the Song Specter came with a new risk and several Valor's became aware of this...some Vile's too. It always seemed as though she was testing her enemies and attempting to hold interest but for those who lost her interest she seemed to try and avoid them. It instilled fear of her presence in many however who refused to fight her as well.

► World Tour
The Specter began to appear in other places on its third year and test the Valors there. No one knew how she moved, and why but her appearances in other places worried others...still she began to encounter more threats with more wins and losses under her belt. She began to take more things and humiliate other heroes and villains on occasion but also displayed a new side of herself as she could occasionally protect. During an incident in New York she joined the fight against an ancient witch known as the Crimson Tongue and helped defeat her.

It was there that she spoke for the first time to the hero who teamed up with her, promising that she'd take them before vanishing. She continued to appear after that, often clashing with more magical heroes but on one occasion she actually sealed away though this lasted only a short while for a prison break to occur which shattered her confines and set her free again. The Specter could be defeated but she remained relentless.

4 years since she appeared and she built quite the reputation. No one quite knew where she was going to strike next. They just knew that where she went, a new song and a new spree of terror....

Powers:
Eyes of Truth: Rumi has special eyes that allow her to see things for what they are. She is capable of seeing alternative realities be it overlaying the current or when they occur in spots, she is capable of seeing past illusions, or she is capable of seeing the true soul of a person right down to if a person is good or evil. There is no lying to her eyes at least in means beyond the normal. She can still be tricked of course as her eyes generally provide no extra information but she can generally see past things of an untrue nature in a more literal sense.

Horrid Gaze: Rumi is capable interacting with the soul of her victims by staring into their eyes while exerting her power through them. While this requires prolonged contact, doing so allows her to cause several things to happen stemming from their soul....and hers. This also obviously only works on those who look into or even can look into her eyes. This can be resisted depending on willpower as well.
> Punishing Gaze: Rumi is capable of inflicting horrendous pain on a person directly proportional to the corruption of their souls. This is, in effect, forcing them to confront their evil which is something they either overcome or are consumed by. This can also heal her.
> Inner Space: Rumi is capable of locking her soul and the soul of those looking into her eyes into an internal space where only she and they exist. This mind space is essentially a whole world to themselves.
> Healing Gaze: Rumi is capable of helping a person see the good in themselves too and even healing their bodies while doing so but only in direct relation to how pure their soul is so someone evil will benefit very little from this, but someone good could potentially be saved from a fatal injury this way.
> Memory Sharing: Rumi is able to read the memory of someone by staring deep into their eyes but in doing so also shares her own. This can be a rather intense experience depending on the intensity of the memories conveyed.

Abilities:
Apparition: Being a Seirei, Rune is capable of doing pretty much anything an apparition is naturally capable of dong. She is able to selectively transform her body in order to use these powers or outright become an Onyro which allows her the full range at once.
> Intangibility - Like any good ghost she's seemingly able to to phase through just about any solid matter, though she is unable to affect anything when she does so.
> Invisibility - She seems able to become invisible at will.
> Flight and Levitation - She seems to naturally defy gravity and swim through the air as if it meant nothing to her. She is not fast doing so, but it allows her to move into hard to reach spaces.
> Haunting - She is able to declare a place, or a person as her haunt and thus connect her spirit to the place or person allowing her to teleport to that place or person at will. This also confers a form of telepathy no matter the distance but she can only haunt one person or place at a time.
> Possession - She is able to possess and object at will though to possess a person it is much more difficult (requires permission if used on another player). She able to partially possess someone, imparting a part of herself onto them and a small measure of influence, but also confers part of her abilities (Requires permission if used on another player). This does leave her weaker as a result. This can even be used for minor healing though she can't completely repair a living body given she does not...well...given she is not currently using one.
> Minor Malleability - She is able shift her spiritual energy form parts of her body into different things like though none of these things can be used for battle. It often seems to be used mostly for her own amusement, or as a scare tactic.
> Light form - She is able to shift into a form of ghostly light to allow for faster travel though she can't do much of anything in this form but travel.
 
Equipment:
Beleth's Hound- A special guitar created in the underworld that is bound to her. It is a living thing, a beast that seeks to devour souls to power itself. The edge of the guitar is sharp but it does not harm the body instead striking directly at the soul but it is also capable of "roaring" or sending out concussive blasts of sound. Those taken in by it song and willing to bare their souls as they listen to songs made with it can have parts of their souls devoured...or all of it if not careful. It is able to play even the voices of those it has devoured, but more than that it is capable of playing just about anything the user imagines even replicating the sound of a full band. The various sounds played on its strings can cause different emotions to swell.  While it can be separated from her it will eventually make its way back to her no matter what.

Skills:
- Dancing - Formally trained by a woman name Sybil, Rumi is a very capable dancer.
- Guitar - Formally trained by a man named Yuya, Rumi is a master guitar player able to play both Acoustic and electric models in just about any style.
- Incredible Singing - She has an incredible singing voice that she uses to accompany her guitar often.
- Wood Carving - A past time she actually picked up to distract herself, but she is capable of making incredible figures.
- Knitting - Another hobby she has and adores.
- Acting - Being a pretty capable liar she has applied that to being able to shift her demeanor, voice, and whatever else to perfectly embody a role.
- Motorcycle riding  - Something she enjoys doing she's actually pretty good at riding a motorcycle.

Weaknesses / Flaws:
- Blessed Salt disrupts her abilities
- Cold Iron is capable of truly injuring her even when she's intangible
- Sacred Prayers can be used against her to weaken and even subdue her, works better written down on material like paper.
- Holy magic is incredibly damaging to her
- Any ability that can destroy a soul is a surefire way to destroy her
- She does require plenty of rest if using her abilities too much, weakening the longer she's in her Onryo form.
- She can be sealed and thus locked into a location or even person
- Her easily frustrated nature makes her prone to unfocused actions and haste
- Separating her from her guitar does reduce much of her offensive ability
- The less rage she feels the less corporeal she is, at peace she is unable to hurt anyone
- Magical energy also provides an easy way to harm her
