  1. She is a piece of chocolate with green hair and eyes. Even SRK has to scream Warning at her because she's too cute.
  2. Fair! Also, when I mean NPC, I don't mean in a robotic pattern but I mean... she kinda feels like a NPC in the ship. I dunno, I just find the term funny. My only real restrictions personally are sexual. I'm just not sure who I want to let have some fun with her. (It's less "who", more that I prefer yuri mostly)
  3. That leaves a good opening to more than one character, then. Fair enough. She will be a kind of NPC in the ship anyway so she can always be brought around if "authorized" personal feel the need. She is not her own boss, at least. She has protocols making her obey the captain in charge and any position who have authority over her for maintenance. Otherwise, she goes full ball of goof. Or at least I try. It's not always easy gauging what is right for her but I'm trying my best. Just remind me if I go too far.
  4. I mean, i felt the need to do so to reduce confusion. I like the idea that both could do this. As for her assigned role... She is what she calls herself a "translator alert unit." To play a little with what Me and Mysthero had agreed on or about, she translates languages, be it computer or racial. Note that she can only really translate what is learned inside her database. She has "tools" to try and learn new language but it's not something she can just cheat in with a fingersnap. It uses all sorts of algorithm to try and coin a translation as best as possible. As for her alert part, SRK is basically assigned to be capable of seeing systems in the ship and listen to communication and the like, with the objective to direct any reports of issues to administrators or ranks in place. So she cannot magically stop a fire if there's one. (And I am sorry if I've implied such thing before.) I imagine the ship was dormant while everyone was asleep so no such thing would have happened anyway but her protocols would have forced her to wake the captain up IF it happened. All she does is translation and issue reporting.
  5. Interesting! Yes, I really go along with how her character was intended to be. I might have added more, with her being the apparently ever so silly yet watchful goofball while everyone was asleep. I admit I allowed some freedom that can be adjusted to reflect her real nature more. In one of the info thing about her (I might have included this in her "bio"), she is not very skillful in social situation because she doesn't have the same program as other AI who are more, uh, socially involved. Well, this images might explain it: And yes, she is indeed not "perfect" hence all of her little silly things going on around her. She can easily be caught in shenanigans and things humans do, in a certain hope to "learn" yet not always succeed. I do hope I succeed well on that side but even I am not too perfect at this. Also yes, she is indeed capable of feeling and somewhat understanding pleasure but she might have a strange way of "translating" that into proper terms. As she was built in a synthetic manner, she was made, well, biologically alike to livings. The only thing that's different might be that she can be slightly stronger due to the synthetic fiber muscles (Stronger than one her own size) but also capable to breathe in space since she doesn't really have lungs. (She is not alive like a human). A correction to what I said before is that, yeah, she can't really repair herself but I dunno who between a doctor or engineer might know more about synthetic fibers. Well, whichever fits best. We probably have some station for her, I guess? (Someone can check on her, I mean.)
  6. Okay... Things happened and this took me by surprise. Just to be clear, I really want to get along with everyone and I did not get the impression until today that something felt off with my character. Look... I will not consider it calling out or hurting my feelings if someone thinks something about Warning is off. I might have let the impression that she is a "do all" character but she is not. I wish I could reassure everyone that we (me and the host) had a more or less good plan with my character so if anyone has questions, please ask! I'm understanding that many things may have been unclear about her role aboard the ship (as an AI) so if there's anything that feels out of place, please... let this ooc discussion area be a good place to talk about it. I thought we were having good fun so far and I would love that we keep it going that way. I am sorry to everyone if I may have come off as overreacting, I really wish to have a good time with you all and I hope you will consider this post as an attempt to do so. Please ask away if you have any questions about my character!
  7. I honestly am not sure what is going on right now and I am not posting because I feel like some people are required to post before me. o.o
  8. SRK remained calm for a bit, just listening to the captain's words even though the small lecture about her warnings poked her the wrong way but she did an effort to keep her mouth shut until she heard how she was being called a tamagotchi, which seemed to have done well to offend her and make her shout her usual alert, "Warning!! This way of naming this unit will not be tolerated and I will not be muted, according to my role and function within this ship. A function that did well to keep all of the personal alive for many years." Her expression of annoyance and anger did well to tell that such remarks affected her and her limited capabilities to communicate, as communication with the crew was not exactly fully developed in her social base program, made her simply throw an alert for caution regarding such disrespect toward her. SRK was capable to learn and adapt but she had been quite alone for a while so learning was not very available. Still, she was annoyed enough that she did not stay around very long, thinking that her functions for now were complete. Without another word, she left to make sure the ship and its systems were in order to welcome the crew. If the captain had need for her, he would simply need to call upon her or speak to her, as she was to follow orders from the highest ranked personal of the ship. Unless interrupted, she would go and make sure that all systems of every quarters and areas were operative. Many of these areas would respond to authorized IDs. The list of personal was available for the captain at any time inside of the bridge, along with where they were authorized to be and if any restrictions applied to any of them. Otherwise, every areas would be ready to be used by the crew. The systems only required for an authorized crew member to step inside a location to be recognized by the system and allowed to use the room for its intended purpose.
  9. Interestingly, SRK aka Warning is the main synth of the ship so it's fine. He can always befriend her or something. She has her own use and so would he. He is a strong model while she is a smol big mouth. Seems fair. XD. The fact he was in cryo is interesting as well, probably for preservation for until the crew has a use for him. I am trying to think of what Warning did while she was alone. Playing games with herself and losing. (Because that's a classic joke.) But seriously, I don't know. lol...
  10. SRK focused mostly on the captain, leaving the team that seemed focused on their own thing doing whatever they were doing. When she was asked to do a task, she simply went and fetched what he was asking for. It did not take too long as she was capable of communicating with a few systems of the ship on her own. Seeing another shortstack being around while she had been busy made her look confused for a moment but she did not pay attention to it right yet. At the end of his speech, the cat bot felt the need for corrections. "Warning! This avatar is not an android cat but an Anthroid, designed for communication between me and the systems used for your survival. I also specialize in language translations and detection of issues therefore communication of alerts to the authorized personal and computers.", she tried to explain with the most serious yet seemingly annoyed face. Though her mood did not exactly improve as she heard a word that seemed to address her in a not exactly flattering manner or at least she seemed to assume it was used for her, making her continue her lecture, "Warning...! You will not give this unit any inappropriate nicknames such as Lassie. Only my assigned identification, SRK, may be used to address me." For a synthetic, she still managed to express her emotion pretty well but being the shortest figure of the room made difficult to take her seriously. At least she seemed to be light and not too maintenance heavy, for what she was capable of doing aboard the ship. A thing of her size would be able to fit about anywhere in case of problems, including air ducts or who knows, maybe even outside the ship itself unless she required to breath like any other living things. For now, she kept a mostly annoyed expression almost as default.
  11. Ah yes, "huge compared to a house cat". Well, the wording makes sense in that context. I was not seeing it like that but now that you mention it. It works. XD
  12. Interestingly, the alien girl is 3'11. SRK is 3'7. That's an interesting "We have two people of the same size around" moment. I know it was called "huge" but she is technically 4 inches SMALLER than Chiyako's character so she really is not that big. My character remains the smallest thing in the room. XD But yeah. what she is is "unknown" for now. Unless they know.
  13. The cat creature finally finished taking a good look at the small crew and before she could really address them, the captain did well to notice her and do so first. She turned to him and spoke with a voice that seemed pretty "normal" for what she looked like, making difficult to know if she was even real or not, "Warning! Identification of all awake personal required! This unit has been taking care of the ship while the crew has been sleeping.". The voice felt less robotic, having actual personality into it and her personality didn't seem amused, based on the mildly serious expression painted on this little creature's face. The little she spoke seemed to express that she had been alone for a while but at least managed the ship while they were sleeping. Still, her eyes were locked on Azure, seeming to guess or know that he was the captain in charge. She continued with her mood, "Status report of the ship, no problems detected but personal is required to help with maintenance. All resources are intact and ready for personal usage and consumption.". Her small frame finally looked at everyone else curiously and watched their behavior or reaction, prepared to answer questions if they had any.
  14. I did. And due to the nature of my character, I have to say it might not be likely that a fire would start as she'd probably have been aware of any issues. Then again... She is not exactly a repair unit but she probably had means to prevent the ship from exploding while everyone was sleeping. Like repair bot or something. For the sake of narrative, there can be issues happening for any reason. So yeah... Anything is possible in the realm of "We can make it happen if we have to." XD But yeah, I suggest we're all settled before we jump to catastrophes.
  15. Me having no idea what voice Warning has. She just have some girl voice but I never really thought about it. At any rates, I managed to "pull" something up but I wasn't sure of what I was doing right yet.
  16. With the responsiveness of the system, the computer was not the only being alerted about some awakenings happening. A very lively synthetic life form, roaming aboard, also was made aware of the sudden activity. It was not exactly expected, so to speak. Or at least she did not keep an exact date for which this event would take place. She was merely a lonely being most days and so her routine was mostly the same, every single days. Yet, this life form still had specific tasks to accomplish. Otherwise, she had all the free time in the world. This most likely was about to change with the events unfolding as they were. While she was not contacted directly by any means, an alert still came to her. A set of tasks for that moment then suddenly took priority over anything else that was not a direct threat to the crew. That was when she made her way to the location of where the crew was awakening from. What would appear before anyone, if they saw her, would be a small being easily the size of a human child yet it was all but one... It did not look robotic minus some details around her ears but it did not look anything human either. She would be no higher than 3'7" tall, making any adult sized beings forced to look down to meet eyes to eyes. A black "cat" girl was what she was and the color scheme of her fur did not look like anything "normal". There was no ID on her person but symbols and small clothes of blue and black colors. Her task as it was at this moment, was to make sure the crew was, for one, alive but also in acceptable health. Her eyes scanned the area, trying to pinpoint the location of currently awakened members. Whoever that creature was, she did not seem to speak a word for the moment. Even she was surprised something other than her was moving for once in... a pretty long while...
  17. Well, I am checking it now and, like a good game, I always need a good OST to go along my reading and writing. This is what I found and going with. Hopefully I can spark something good.
  18. Mao watched and listened, understanding easily what she was told, being herself the keeper of souls. The manner she dealt with such things was sometimes simple, sometimes complex. The neko knew of ways to communicate with souls that was not a gift to simply everybody however she would not have underestimated Pelintira's capabilities to do so as well. Mao knew way too well that this witch had magic potential beyond the majority if not all of the mages she had ever known. What made her curious was how the witch would proceed to do so; The process she would use to access her and communicate with her. If that truly was what she was meaning to do, at least. Pelintira's offer seemed to make it sound that way. "Maybe I can be of help, Mistress...", Mao spoke carefully but not as a mean to decide for the witch. There was more than one reason that the soul was crystalized. For Mao, it did not need to be but the prism could also be used as a prison for the soul and, like any prisons, it was a place that could be visited, as one might say. However, the floating familiar was also curious about what Pelintira would do to contact her, especially if they are supposed to see her memories by another mean than her own. If what she said was true, the witch could be capable of being a soul keeper of her own. Mao, like anyone else, only had a glimpse of what this legendary mistress was capable of and nobody dared to underestimate her... The neko would still remain close, holding the pulsating soul crystal. Or rather, it floated above her palm, even spinning very slowly. Her golden eyes observed it for a moment then shifted to the witch, looking ready to accomplish whatever task that she had in mind for her. "I can take us to her or you may do as you like, Mistress...", Mao finally proposed. Either way probably would be alright. The stability of the prism worried her a little but she would be a bad soul reaper if so little allowed the soul inside to escape. All depended on what Pelintira had in mind for inspecting the soul in question. If her magic would conflict with her or her glass seal. It's something Mao would have to deal with, in time, if anything happened.
  19. W-wait, is it already my turn? I did not even notice that the story had started. (I am seeing it now). Although the order seems a little different than what's being said here. o.o
  20. The fact I'm last could work. It leaves the time for all to act before the ship's anthroid greets the meatbags. I-I mean, the crew... Let people realize where they are as they open their eyes. And suddenly, little cat thing.
  21. Personally, I find my character so complex that it might be best left vague. Mine is so advanced we either have to make that up for it or we just say she comes from another galaxy (As I did in another club)
  22. A bit of history for Warning (taken from the source), her real name (Model) is SRK. But warning is a nickname given because she can't shut up about alerts. XD But yes, she is an anthroid. Anthro/android. She could just be active with low maintenance at any time. Assuming I don't use any other anthroids, she would be the first thing to welcome them or the commander, at the very least. But yes, she could find them waking up.
  23. The interesting thing about this part is that Warning wouldn't actually sleep as she is the alert unit of the ship. She needs to fuel herself through food or whatever but she can probably do so on her own. (Plugging) She might also have gotten directives about the sleeping crew whether something was so important or not that she would wake someone up but this can be ignored as we can see it as "nothing happened." and the crew just wake up to her taking "care" of the place.
  24. lol... I did not make the bio or anything yet (I suck at bio so much) but it's funny that this is the accepted information. I mean, I was fully willing to commit into it anyway so yeah. I'll try and make some page or etc. ><
  25. Mao would have returned to the study after a while, having read more than enough books for the entire day. As per usual, the floating catgirl would have stayed around quietly unless addressed or interacted with, usually waiting or simply relaxing on her own but still listening to what was going on. She was observing at all times, sometimes trying to see what or how people thought. In no way could she really tell what the great witch was thinking but Mao remained by her sides, in case she could be useful for something. There was nothing else that required her to be elsewhere at that moment. She also figured that Alenia would be safe, wherever she was right at that moment, by herself or not. Still, something had been bothering her ever since she had come back. Something that stirred within the complexity of her power, something only Mao could feel but that was relevant to the young elf girl in a sort of way. The small familiar was not sure how to address this particular concern but after waiting that Pelintira seemed free to interact with, she finally approached to her side. "Mistress...? It appears that the soul taken from the girl is not behaving peacefully. I thought you would want to know.", she told her, while soon summoning the crystalized soul in question. Its restlessness was rather clear with the way it was glowing and shaking lightly, as if it was active or fighting somewhat.
