  1. No reaction to the explanation of who Shinigami was the child of. Perhaps he already knew, at least knew what they knew. But if he had any more insight into who or what ‘Death’ was, he did not show it. Another short moment of silence, perhaps considering if there was anything else. Miracles were possible, but within limits. He could not just magically make humanity accept Shinigami. But perhaps it was worth elaborating on his idea, even if they rejected it, they ought to hear it all. ”No, perhaps she would not accept that.” He begun, having watched as he said, it would not have surprised him perhaps. But if they wanted help, the offer should still be made. “Though, assuming she did agree, it would not be a simple thing. Require assistance from both you. To truly transform something, even temporarily, is not a simple thing. Less so here.” If Shinigami had been a demon, or something more understood, that would only make it a little easier. ”To draw a little of each of you into her and a little of her into you. Make the transformation more genuine, though it is understandable if one feels uncomfortable becoming something else. Assuming it happened though. It would have the side effect, for as long as she took up the form, shortly afterwards, one or both of you would have to temporarily change. Something more like what she is.” Perhaps it would not change anyone’s opinion, but it was worth telling them what it takes to, what would happen and why.
  2. There was a moment of silence. Perhaps not an easy question even for a divine figure. “Even as a son of a god and ancestor of many Knights and Magical Girls, I am not well known outside of the temple. Nor is my father. We cannot call out, tell people to accept her and hope they will listen.” It was not such a simple matter but did that necessarily mean there was nothing he could do? Jumi thought it looked like he was considering something. ”I am very powerful. Though even we have limits to our power. The feelings of this Shinigami Ned to considered as well.” Maybe he thought of something but at least one of his ideas he guessed would be unappealing to Shinigami. “It is made a little more complicated by not being entirely certain of what she is.” Her uncertain nature, her uncertain power, potentially made some things unpredictable. ”It might not be impossible to make others think she is human when they look at her. Or to let her take a temporary human form as a disguise. But assuming she agrees, and assuming it works, it might cause a change to one or both of you.” No immediate elaboration, waiting to see if they strongly reacted one way or another.
  3. Yeah, a few others appear to busy with things. Will see what I can do about the quiet though. Had not got much thought on the setting yet, but will see about getting a few replies in elsewhere and see if that gets gears going. Still might get some thoughts in here tonight.
  4. I may or may not do some thinking about wider setting stuff over the weekend, if I do, and post it, other people can of course give input and/or make their own suggestions. Want to get my brain going again. Work has been eating into my writing way too much recently, and as a few of you already know, had some personal distractions (one of my two dogs had been rather sick for weeks now, after trying a number of things there was nothing left that could be done, we had to put him to sleep yesterday). Not easy, but not something that will make take a break from writing either. It tends to motivate me to write more.
  5. It was quiet for another moment, then two small lights appeared in front of the two girls. They shifted into the shape of eyes, then a body formed around them. The appearance of a young man. Much like statue in the center of the room they were just in. “Welcome. It has been a long time since I have hard living, mortal guests.” He said, with a small smile, no hostility in his voice. Jumi could not help making an observation, even if this figure was who he appeared, half-god. “You have a whole temple of family down there, you could invite them from time to time, or visit.” He did not appear to be offended, though Jumi could not tell if he was amused by that or not. “I hear their prayers. Offer assistance in my way. But since I ‘retired’ so long ago, I have left direct responsibilities up to my children and their descendants. They have done well with the power ultimately inherited from my father.” ”But, this is not a family matter. You two seek help, with a rather difficult problem. Acceptance of one many humans would fear, as demon or monster. I have some awareness of how you got here. I am not a god who watches everything, but I have seen some of what you two have done in recent days.” Jumi understood he was saying he probably did not watch their more intimate moments, not that she would have cared, but it was nice to know even gods could value privacy.
  6. She isn’t like the standard demons like Zorn. Probably distinct from those with more of a shade of grey like Exzel as well. But it is a rather open setting, I like what has been done with her so far. The distinction between demons and other monsters admittedly has been rather vague. I had not thought a lot about the definitions, giving people ba lot of freedom to work with. Perhaps being from another dimension or dimensions of sorts being part (though we aliens as another distinct group, so not exactly other planets), while maybe ‘monsters’ are native to the world. I do think being a goddess of sorts fits the setting, the only danger with that sort of character is being overpowered, but that has not been an issue with her so far and don’t see it becoming one. A demon of sorts could work as well, even if it makes Jumi and Mitsuko have a harder job. I could see it going well and fun with various options. No rush to decide, it could be kept a mystery a little longer.
  7. I did not have time to reply to that last night but I do want to and hopefully will soon. Hoping today will be lighter than a lot of recent work days have,
  8. So far everything has pretty much been connected in some way (some connections looser than others), though my intention always was that whole world of independent teams I tried to describe in the description. There is nothing stopping people from making a story completely unconnected from the characters so far if they want. Trying to join in the existing story is possible too, if a little more complicated and optionally reading existing stuff but help could be given. It has slowed down with some of us having less time to write, though I hope to eventually get myself writing more frequently again. As well as a few characters still getting some adjustment to their stories after one member left.
  9. There was Mitsuko, as she guessed, just the two of them for now. She looked off into the emptiness. “Not exactly Heaven, but nothing quite like anywhere I’ve seen before. Looks like they called our…minds? Maybe souls? We will likely have company in a moment. Though no idea if they will just give us some sort of help, or try to negotiate something. Looks like they just want to talk to us first. Maybe see what we are thinking or how far we would go?” Jumi thought out loud as she tried to guess the situation. She suspected the two of them would not be alone for long. She played a little with the light that was also clothes of sorts. Looks like they were not the sort of gods to think nudity equaled purity, or were just being nice to the two of them. It shifted a little in her finger but she could barely feel it against her skin. It was closer to light than clothes. A sign of the strange place they were in, but she was not worried. Whatever happened, she did not feel they were in danger and would be returned to their bodies after the meeting was over.
  10. Umi turned her head to watch Nall make his appearance. She was glad he did not get lost, though she had not been too worried about him and was convinced he would he would have been found before they had to worry about leaving. But she just watched him and Shinigami for a moment, before turning to the other two. Something appeared like it was going to happen, perhaps something unprecedented, but she had no idea what it might be. She was hopeful about it though. At least a chance a chance for a solution. Jumi decided to give it another push. It looked like she and/or Mitsuko were accomplishing something. She took a breath, tried to push a little more. (One or both of you listening? Sorry if I don’t come off as respectful enough, I don’t pray much to any gods out there. But we aren’t going to be here much longer. So if you want to talk, now seems the best time, or if you just want to work your magic, some sort of miracle, I won’t be arrogant enough to push hard a time, though before we leave would be nice.) She waited another moment. Before a dim golden glow surrounded her body, as well as Mitsuko’s. Jumi’s eyes went a little dim. Umi made her observation of what was going on. “They might not come to us….but perhaps they want to talk to those two. Maybe you as well.” She said to Shinigami. This was about Shinigami after all. But maybe they wanted a private talk with Jumi and Mitsuko, bring Shinigami in a little later, if it went well. For Jumi there was a flash of light, then she found herself somewhere new. Floating. Her wings showing, the clothes she had been wearing gone, but her body surrounded in something like a gown of light. “Just my soul? That how we are doing this?” No one else was there, but there was a light by her, that she guessed might soon be Mitsuko brought here a similar way. Maybe they were actually going to talk to gods, maybe get a solution here, or help towards one.
  11. What to do? They had little to lose, this was their best chance of finding a better solution. If it worked. Some sort of miracle maybe? Some sort of deal? Could they get something? It was maybe worth trying. If the one was willing to help once, maybe he could again. Or maybe the Demi-god ancestor and founder of the temple would help. She decided to be a little bolder (You been watching me for a while? Friend of Alexandrine, sister of your descendant Hikaru’s wife. These guys have done a good job of keeping the temple going. But this isn’t about me. Shinigami over there, not sure exactly what she is, but she is not a demon. Trying to help, but we’re a bit over our heads here. Think you can do anything to help? If you are a benevolent god, willing to grant miracles just because, great. If you want to offer us some sort of deal, fair enough, I expect it to be a reasonable one.). Dealing with a god was likely different than dealing with a devil. If there might be a cost it would not be out of malice. Umi silently observed. She considered joining in, but even as a descendant of Maxim, she felt these two were more likely to get an answer. Was this all fate? Maybe, maybe not, but whether or not it was, it was a special circumstance. Just maybe they would get involved…she felt a dim energy, a shift in the room. Warm. Was it an answer, or the hint of something more. “I believe they are listening.” There was a little excitement in her voice, this was new. “Let’s wait a moment. This is different. They might be willing to intervene.” It was worth seeing, either just wait a moment, possibly offer further prayer.
  12. Wait, were they law enforcement after all? Damn it. She still could not hear everything, or remember if she knew the man casually, but they clearly had another interest in this man. She was a punk, a street criminal, she was quite familiar with sneaking things into hands of people who were not supposed to see it. But motives for that varied, was he involved in her sort of life or closer to what those two May have been after all? She was tempted to sneak off, but she had gone too far and she was still not certain what these two were or what they were really up to. Better to stick around for the moment, though now she wondered whether she should keep up the show. She was also irritated he man and women chose one of her few havens to do something like this. The alcohol was losing up a little, to vent her frustration on the pair below, mostly to herself. “Dammit, this isn’t the place for that sort of thing. Always being watched, or more.” She whispered, venting to herself. She was being extra well behaved, not trying to touch the pair next to her, plenty of people could be more aggressive. Should always expect eyes, potentially hands, on you. It was incredibly dangerous to try to pass along sensitive material. Proven by the fact at least three sets of eyes were already watching them, maybe more.
  13. What exactly would happen, if anything? Jumi had to wonder. In theory they were going to possibly get answers response from a god or something close to it. Would they offer advice? Potentially offer their power to help in some way? If they did what were they capable of and willing to offer. If it worked, this was likely their best chance at a real solution. But Jumi was unsure what to expect. Apparently these gods usually stayed out of things like that Athena apparently chose to do. Had this Vanorus done anything after giving that woman a semi-divine child? A child that remained the source of his descendants’ power? She walked closer to the altar, knelt in front of it. As she did, Umi offered advice. “Do not be afraid to offer honest prayers. Ask them what is on your mind, for help that is either vague, or very specific. I can not tell you if or how they will answer, only that you do not need to be afraid of offending them with what you ask for. You do not have greedy or selfish motives after all.” If it had to with Shinigami, they should be free to ask for anything, it would remain to be seen if requests would be granted or needed to be negotiated, but there was no reason to fear asking for something they should not.
  14. (Hey, don’t you go looking for private spaces without me. Shouldn’t you enjoy me watching?). Ryoko thought to herself, hearing some but not all of what they were saying. Enjoying that show, limited as it was so far. Not looking away, smiling a little when Dalton looked at her. Did I’d he like what he saw? She slid a thumb under the waist strap, teasing she might continue to undress, show him more, but it stayed on for the moment. She glanced again at the man. Now interacting with another woman. Why did they care so much about him? What, did they want a second man but were uncomfortable with a second woman? That would be annoying, though she would not hold it against either. Would not mind watching the girl take two men at the same time for her intro. That would be a sight. Did she know the man though? She still was not sure, the alcohol probably was not helping her memory either. Though she was more certain she had never seen the woman the man was interacting with before. Her thumb continued to tease more undressing, considered trying to excite one or hopefully both of them some more, but she was careful still not too move too fast or too far.
  15. Recordings, reviews. Probably better Ryoko had run off, got at least temporarily saved from that. As for Dai, well in most cases it probably was not a big deal. It was not exactly a secret what happened here or that the place existed. The only complication would be if he was caught with the wrong sort of woman on camera. Nobody would care if it was some random woman, or if it was with ‘Honeyfluff’ herself, though some could be more complicated. Ryoko herself would not be the best person to be ‘on camera’ with. Some others too, and sometimes you did not actually know if a partner was one of those people until it was over. With some people you did not ask too many questions. But for now he quietly continued to drink, curious how she would answer Maray’s questions. Would wait a bit to speak up, if he was not spoken too.
  16. “A little better, but too late to change how this will happen.” The male said with some satisfaction as his captured enemy struggled vainly, not the sort of fight that could hurt or stop him. Just made him want her a little more. He had no fear, she had been too beaten to use her powers, she was no threat to him. She could delay penetration for a moment. The demon found the extra struggle, as long as it was short, to be fun. It was an appealing sight for Canata, perhaps Emiri was trying to delay the inevitable but maybe in a way her body reacted a little positively to it. How would she react when it happened? Something inhuman, that she considered a monster and enemy mating with her. Would she despise it? Be sickened by it? But it was always hard to guess how humans would react to the taboo. Some were broken by it. But some were drawn to it, or found an appeal in it once it happened. The stronger someone’s beliefs were, the more likely both were. That Emiri was so dedicated to the ‘light’, what she saw as it good, made it more possible she might eventually become one of them willingly and eagerly. But it would take time and she had no idea how Emiri would react to what she saw was finally happening. After he felt the entrance, he refused to let it get out of reach. He yearned for it, it had been too long, especially since he had a chance to use a human. She did briefly delay his penetration, letting them both feel the tip rubbing against it for a bit, but he kept trying, and eventually it plunged in. He let it sit there briefly, let Emiri feel herself filled by a demon’s shaft in a place on her husband had previously entered. He stared into her eyes, to see the reaction. But it was just a short moment, like he said, he did not waste time, before he went to work. Eagerly thrusting in and out, hard and fast. Loving the feel, mostly caring about his own pleasure, though he would only be turned on more by any sort of positive reaction from Emiri.
  17. “We understand. The guest rooms are available if necessary, but we will help you back to Jumi’s home either today or tomorrow.” After everything that happened, Umi could understand them not wanting to spend another night somewhere else. But the invitation would remain open just in case and out of politeness. So they would not have to feel rushed to leave but have an option, if things went late. She listened to what Shinigami said watched the show of power. Considered it for a moment. “That may indeed be the source, though Imam troubled none of here sensed it, if it that was indeed what happened. As for your offer, that may be worth considering. I might be willing to see if I can learn anything, after we see what happens at the altar. You are right though. We do not have such power. You have my word that I will do nothing to attempt to harm you.” Assuming said this, Jumi considered mentioning other things Umi might learn from Shinigami, but kept it to herself, as they approached another gemmed door, and holiest room in the temple. Umi placed her hand on the door opening it. Revealing the large room, at the end a golden altar an three statues behind it. “Here it is, the altar.” In the center was figure in elaborate armor, long hair, holding a sword, the blade tip, touching the floor. “The man in the center is our ancestor, Maxim. Immortal, we treat him as a god, though more accurately he is a Demi-god. The figures on his right and left are his parents. A human woman, Aisuka. His father, a god, Vanorus. The temple is dedicated to Maxim. Hikaru’s name as a Knight, it the Sword of Maxim. But of course we do not forget his holy father. Though we do not know a great deal about him. But perhaps either Maxim or Vanorus could answer.” Jumi took another step forward looking it all over. “I was shown this room one other time I visited, though I never tried praying for anything.” She glanced to Mitsuko. “You want to try going up to the altar, or something else.” Jumi was up trying as well, see if anything happened, see whether they did it solo, in a duo, or a larger group. She could see Umi joining in but was not as sure about Shinigami.
  18. It was an interesting sight for Canata, she did wonder how it would go. There was a degree of sympathy for Emiri, but at the same time this was how demons did things and while it was hard to guess if Emiri would enjoy it this time, she was convinced the girl would eventually come to enjoy it. But Canata was not just a demon, but a succubus, her mind was extra wired on sex, and was likely to get turned on by this, no matter how it went. Finding the idea of being in Emiri’s position kind of hit, enjoying it when a male could genuinely overpower her, and show his desire. But she would say nothing right now. She would not try to use her power to influence it either, just let Emiri experience a demon’s mating…Emiri was not happy about it…but keeping in mind their discussion and studying her, did she ‘want’ it in someway. ”Hmph, already crying?” The demon gloated a little. Perhaps disappoint in the lack of fight, but he still wanted her. Revenge for their defeat, the death of their lord. To see if her reaction would change as they went. “You aren’t getting out of this, no matter how much you beg. But might as well take you on your back, if you have given up.” Maybe other positions as a reward, if she showed signs of enjoying it. For now he pressed over her, pinned her down. “Don’t worry though, we don’t usually waste time like you humans do.” He might grope her a little, enjoy her lovely figure, but there would not be much foreplay. He was already on top of her. His large body pinning her’s. He teased just a little bit though. His shaft, laid against her hip for a moment, giving her a feel of what would soon be inside her. But it was not long until it lifted. The tip aimed for the entrance, but he did not use his hand to try to guide it in. It was partially a game, tormenting, teasing. Testing if Emiri would be still or try to shift her body, whether to make a little harder…or help him go in. Canata watched intently, now that she was in this position, now that it was about to begin…would she help it happen? Would she choose to let a demon inside her? Or let the demon force himself in? Either way it was just a moment before it began.
  19. “I was a little curious to see if it would react to me, but probably for the better.” Jumi said with a shrug. While she had a little curiosity about if it would have happened, and the cause, if it did, she was not bothered by it being gone. Happy not to hear the whispering anymore. She would not push for answers, trusting she did not want to know. Umi had a slightly troubled face. “I will trust you on that, though part of me wants to know how it got in if only to try to stop anything else from doing the same.” She simply spoke her mind though, would not try to push Shinigami for details. But she and Hikaru might have to consider precautions, see if they could make rooms like this library even safer. She also had to wonder how long the book had actually been there and hope it had not given anyone information, that it should not have. But Jumi had suggested something more pleasant, worth considering. “Very well, I shall lead you all to the shrine. We may or may not run into Hikaru. I can not promise any sort of reaction. But it is worth trying.” Jumi had noted earlier the whole descendants of a god thing was sort a legend. It was true, no one had heard anything from the god Maxim in many generations. Though the prayers and rituals they preformed did occasionally get more subtle or indirect responses, like the recent visitor, Elie. Umi waited for the others to step out of the room, before securing the door behind them. Just closing it being enough, the locks automatically in effect, hopefully preventing anything else unwanted from entering, as she led the others through the halls.
  20. Did not get the chance I expected earlier this weekend, but there we go.
  21. “Ryoko should be fine. Probably.” Dai observed in response to her wandering off on her own. Following the other two. He would not be surprised if he heard what happened later. Hopefully she had a good time, whether or not she just watched the other two. Hopefully she was not overcome by the drink. “I’ll probably go look later, make sure she did nit get sick. But she looked fine, as long as she does not drink more.” Since she was tailing the other two, someone would probably see if she fell or something like that. More importantly, she hopefully did not start telling people too much about the life she lived. His eyes shifted to the other woman, another new arrival, when Maray mentioned her. Not someone he had seen here before, or at work. She did have the body first it, though he was not sure about the voice. But keep work and fun separate. He had to remind himself he was here because he could not have too much fun with those girls. He had missed his chance to be first with the girl Ryoko followed. Maybe his luck would be different this time. But he would let her get seated first, have a drink and get a first impression before he considered anything else.
  22. I’ll see if there is anything for Dai to get up to with them. Maybe tonight, maybe earlier.
  23. The idea of expanding beyond the night club is being considered, but it remains to be seen how that will work out and what the details of the wider setting are.
  24. It was probably best not to overthink the souls, Jumi did not have a great idea of what happened there and this talk only gave her a slightly better idea. A little better sense of what those whispers were at least. Maybe someone was trying to help her back there after all. Though it did not seem to be a higher power after all. She glanced at Umi, who might have been relieved to hear the source of the whispers, but still seemed to whispering some sort of chant or prayers to quiet the place down. She was still uncomfortable with how whatever it was slipped past all the seals in the room. Though speaking of higher powers or Lenneth…”Could take up their offer to go pray in the shrine, see if another god wants to tell us anything or try to help.” She threw out the question while looking at the book again, trying to think of anything to ask it, still curious if it or the apparent souls would respond to her, or just Shinigami.
  25. Thank you alcohol, thank you dancing! It looked like Ryoko was going to get what she hoped for after all. Not just a view, but a very close one. Dangerously close, especially as drunk as she was. But all the more reason to behave. She did not leave her spot, kept her hands to herself. She would have to see if those hands needed to give herself some personal attention later, she regretted not having any ‘tools’ to help, if needed. She would probably be able to hear much of what they said in their new spot too, though maybe the music would get in the way if they were quiet enough. She would not say anything yet though. Not spy too much on what they said, unless it was somehow relevant to her. For now, watch, and dance, maybe take off the rest of her clothes as they got busy. But, was there attention on someone else? She had noticed anyone come into the room until now. She glanced at the person? Was that someone she already knew? If only someone she had run into in a previous visit to the club. She could not place a name at the moment, was not certain. But he was vaguely familiar looking at least. Her attention returned to the other two though, the show she came up here for. Hopefully that girl enjoyed it a lot.
