I will. I am so sorry to delay this much. I know, no pressure and whatnot, but I wanted to get something up here much sooner. That being said, real life has been... surprisingly satisfying of late, and has kept me from being online as much as I am when I'm down. I'm stuck in the office for the next couple days. Let me put my mind to it and come up with something interesting while I have no choice but to sit indoors at a desk.

75/25 is probably a more amenable split, since the character creator will be doing all the work and I was just hoping for a little influx to keep the contest prize pot generous. I definitely agree with the disclaimer about the person's preferences and possibly listing "special" restrictions/preferences for this one character. We could just go in order of submission, that would be easiest. Auction off a character a week. No bids means no winner, move on to the next character. I would LOVE if people posted their roleplay in a thread under "Our Stories" like "AUCTION WINNER - Auctioned_Character_Name" so we could all read, but I think fewer people will bid if they have to write publicly. We could ask nicely and hope for the best, but really hat would be up to the person who put a character up for auction and the winner to discuss.

How do we want to work this? I was originally going to make the auction a 50/50 - you get 50% of the EcchiCredits when your character is auctioned off and I get the other 50% to keep EcchiCredits coming in for prizes. It's less urgent now that Tema has made such a generous donation to boost the prize pool, but what do people think? People were very excited about the idea, but we never quite defined what was being done or how. How do we run this auction thing? How do you want it to work? How do we decide which character gets auctioned off first? What kind of auction/deal are we making when someone pay tops EcchiCredits to win a chance to write with your character? I think as far as the club goes, I would say "no refunds/no guarantees, buyer beware". If you win the auction, you have a set amount of time to pay up or the next highest bidder gets a turn, and you don't get to bid again for a set number of auctions. Also, if your potential partner ghosts you, that's not the club's problem, but that person won't be allowed to enter another character in an auction until the situation is resolved - either they write with you, or they refund their half of your EcchiCredits. No refunds from the club, though. We're like a writing challenge charity. You're bidding on a chance to write with someone, and doing so partly to help support the prize pool for the club. But that's me just trying to protect myself and the club. Above and beyond that, how do we want this to work?

The first one is the only one where my mind easily combines the picture and the song. I like the song for the second one, and it gives me ideas, but not related to the picture. I like the picture for the 3rd one, and it gives me ideas, but not in relation to the song!! LOL! My muse has been a withholding little bitch lately unless it's something SHE decides is worth writing, and half the time that stuff is just junk.

I have to re-read all of this and get the final part posted. This was going so well, then I lost creative steam.

@Mr. Satyr - I'm don't think I can do this one. It's like in art class when you'd get an assignment to "draw this still life" which feels restrictive, but gave you creative freedom because you could chose your medium, your viewing angle, use any style you wanted, etc. and add something unique to basically the same thing everyone else was drawing. We would get a lot of variation in the final output, but you could still see what the source material. But this feels more like when someone would say, "oh, you're an artist? Can you draw a realistic colored pencil drawing of an elephant standing on one leg in a circus tent holding a ball on it's trunk?" The only real creative freedom you get there is to do it in your own personal style. But in the end, anyone who draws that is going to draw basically the same picture. Of course, there's also the problem that I don't do canon characters in general, especially ones I'm not as familiar with, because I know I won't do the character justice like the person who created the would. And with the plot more of less outlined, there's not a lot of creative wiggle room for me. This is more of a "write this scene" thing, and that's not really challenging for me, aside from the challenge of trying to get the characters right, which I feel like I'd fail at miserably. If anyone else wants to take a shot at it, feel free.
