  1. Not guilty. I don't do New Years resolutions. I do an annual birthday retreat where I assess the last 12 month of my life, see what went wrong and what went right, and try to course correct and set goals for the coming year. So by New Years, I should already be well on my way toward what everyone else sets as new years resolutions. The next person has time off from work for the holidays.

  3. Not guilty. My house was invaded by every extended family member my mother could think of to invite over My niece and nephew slept over, and this morning I'm waiting for teenage drama to unfold as my girlfriend and I sip coffee after tidying up the last of the Christmas mess. The next person got what they wanted for Christmas.

  5. Not really guilty? I didn't get the dopamine hit, but I also didn't expect one, so... The next person is looking forward to ringing in a new year and hoping for some positive change.
  6. Not guilty. I don't eat cereal. It just never appealed to me. The next person dislikes a common food that many people eat and/or enjoy... not something divisive like olives or cilantro - but something common like... cereal.
  7. CHRISTMAS CHALLENGE!!
  8. THE CHALLENGE Pick a prompt from the list below and see what kind of story you can create. OR... just write something holiday themed. "What do you mean we’re out of hot chocolate?" cuddling by the fireplace “Hey, no peeking!” “Wait, did you spike the eggnog?” “Where did all of this mistletoe come from?” trimming the tree “Your hands are freezing!” “Aren’t you cold like that?” watching movies under a pile of blankets “Where on EARTH did you get that sweater?” “How did you manage to get tangled up in tinsel?” kissing in the snow “Here, let me help you with the scarf.” opening presents “You know, when you said ‘Christmas party,’ this isn’t what I was expecting.” “Come on, just wear the Santa hat for a little bit?” “There’s no way I’m letting you spend Christmas alone.” “Oh come on, it’s just a tradition.” stuck in a snowstorm “You’re under the mistletoe so stop stalling and just kiss.” “Just open the damn present.” “I mean, I knew you had Christmas spirit but this is ridiculous.” “It’s almost midnight.” “Why is it so cold?” “Shhhhh, don’t tell [pronoun of choice]!” “Wait, you mean this whole time, you hated peppermint?” “I feel like there’s more frosting on you than on the gingerbread.” “What are you doing with that mistletoe– oh.” “I guess… this is when we kiss?” “So… what are your plans for New Year’s?” “You’re perfectly welcome to kiss whomever you wa–” “Did everyone else come with a date?” Deadline Midnight (EST) , 4 Jan 2025 Limits 1 entry per person no strict word limit, but please try to keep it around 2,000 words- remember, everyone has to read these to vote Prizes 1st Place: 4,000 EcchiCredits 2nd Place: 2,000 EcchiCredits 3rd Place: 1,000 EcchiCredits SECRET CHRISTMAS BONUS: 500 EcchiCredits to anyone who enters (until I run out of EcchiCredits)

  11. I mean, there's history with us - bad timing, failed attempts, running away, denying feelings, resentment and pettiness... I think once we both forgave each other for past mistakes, let go of our expectations, and decided to live in the moment it just started working. But yeah, we went into it not even really considering the possibility. When you least expect it, indeed.
