  1. be a pet for him to love

  3. What are you looking for?
  4. "It looks like someone slipped his collar," said Elena. Nothing about her changed physically but she was ready for a fight. She'd killed plenty of werewolves in the past, but it had been a long time since she had faced one, and she knew even the least of them could present a formidable opponent. Despite her dismissive nature, she knew the potential danger the newcomer presented. "We're not within your borders," she said, acting as if she cared little for Caleb's words or presence, "and so are not jeopardizing the truce." Truth be told, it was the first she'd heard of a truce. A shame. She didn't like the taste of werewolf, but she'd love to tear this impudent whelp to pieces and feel her teeth in his veins. She walked casually to one side, putting distance between herself and Alex, making Caleb split his attention to keep the two of them in sight. If it came down to fight, he'd have to choose his target. "But if we're equidistant between borders, then wouldn't you be just a as guilty of trespassing as well?" Elena sized up the werewolf. He would be trouble, if it came down to a fight. It would be easier for her to get on with things if he'd just leave. "Either way, you've wasted enough of our time. Run along back to your kennel like a good doggie, or must I throw a bone for you to chase after?"
  5. Elena pressed one fingertip to the girl's lips as she leaned close. "Hush, child," she said. "It will all be over in no time." Elena took the arm Alex offered, pressed her lips softly to the tender flesh at the inside of her elbow and inhaled the scent of the girl. She smelled delicious. Elena let her fangs sink in, precision penetration of the vein in the arm, and began drinking. As the girls lifeblood flowed out of her body and into Elena's mouth, she felt her hunger satiated. She drank deeply, then twisted her head around to look into the girls eyes. As their eyes met, Elena pushed arousal at the girl, let it ease its way along her nervous system and into her brain as her blood was drained. She finally stopped, having drank more than she intended, and lifted her lips from the girls arm. She smiled at the girl then. How strange to leave one alive. She hadn't done so in years. But Alex had marked her first, and she would leave the girl's fate in his capable hands. "Thank you, my dear," she said. "Your directions were most helpful."
  6. @Icarian Dreams - feel free to wrap up the bit with Daliah & Lupita and move either/both of them to wherever they need to go - I'm laid up with covid and only just got the energy to get to my laptop. I doubt I'll get a reply done today.
  7. Elena looked the young girl up and down and smiled, a twisting of her lips that lacked any mirth and never touched her eyes. "Directions would be very much appreciated," she said impatiently, looking down at the blue eyed girl, sizing her up. She seemed like she'd make an adequate dining companion. Elena was short of patience and shorter of temper, but she did her best to keep both in check. She wished Alex hadn't insisted on walking and talking. They could have flown in behind her in bat form, dropped down upon her, and already be feeding. Now they were engaged in niceties. It was frankly too exhausting. There was a time and a place for everything, but she was too hungry tonight to waste time playing with her food.
  8. Lupita was engulfed in the woman's arms. Her entire body tensed and went rigid for a moment, but then slowly, muscle by muscle, she began to relax. She felt safe. Protected. When Daliah pressed her lips against Lupita's head, Lupita melted into that embrace. It felt so right, so comforting, so much of what she had not had for over a year. She hugged Daliah back, her slender arms wrapped around Daliah's back, probably squeezing harder than Daliah had expected. Lupita had been desperate for this kind of connection, and now that she had it, she was reluctant to let it go. As Daliah spoke, Lupita felt her worries assuaged, her fears lessened. When she had first been bitten, she had been terrified of her transformations. But she had grown to love her wolf form, her wolf senses, the freedom of running. She had studied wolves for years, but now she was a wolf. She had the most unique perspective she could ever have hoped for, the most amazing and wonderful experience any human scientist could have dreamed. But when those vampires had hunted her Alpha, picked off the actual wolves in her pack one by one... when her Alpha had fallen and she fell from that precipice, then later woken alone wrapped in a blanket, "rescued" by humans from a "vicious wolf attack"... she had lost everything in one night. She had wandered, alone, searching for something, trying to fill the void. She had resisted the change, associating it with all the bad that had happened. She had tried to reassert her humanity. But she was no longer human. She thought what she was missing was the connection she had with humans, the strength of her convictions, the beliefs instilled in her by a pacifist mother since childhood. But hearing Daliah speak, stating the facts of her situation, the truth she had known deep down, that made her feel different. She had tried to explain it, the problems she had when her humanity reasserted itself, and then Daliah, almost a complete stranger, had embraced her, offered to help her control the transformation. That care, that willingness to help Lupita despite what the pack needed... that was what she had been missing. She had been missing the pack, the feeling of belonging, the knowledge that she was one with something greater. Daliah stepped back and offered a smile, those big eyes filled with sympathy. Lupita felt tears well in her eyes at the sudden strong connection she felt. She had known it deep down inside. This was what she had needed. "Thank you," she said, trying not to get over emotional. "I must seem so scattered to you. Sometimes I'm bad at explaining myself." She took a deep breath. She had been inspired by words meant to comfort. She continued. "I know I said that I feel guilt and regret after the hunt. But that's what I need to work on. I feel weak, chained to my humanity. I don't want to control or lessen the transformation. I don't want to avoid the hunt." She stood up a little straighter, fire in her eyes. "I want to rid myself of the regret. I want to divorce myself from the guilt. I want to embrace the wolf."
  9. "Well, didn't you get interesting in a hundred years." Elena quirked an eyebrow. She wasn't sure what game he was playing, or if he was actually suffering from some sort of multiple personality disorder. Either way, this new predator within certainly seemed more interesting that the coward she knew before. "It's a surprising pleasure to see the new you," she said. "I guess it's true what they say. Sometimes good things happen to bad people." She strode past him and to the front door. It was surprising to see her last of her sired here. She wondered if someone were playing a larger game, moving pawns around a board in some pattern she had yet to visualize. She would need to remain wary. But trap or not, this was actually interesting. Something had changed her sired from a man who had given up to this... hunger. She almost wanted to know more. She turned to look back at him from the doorway. "I'd love to stay and chat, but I'm on my way out for a bite to eat."

  12. My bed is part of an old set my grandmother left me... so the bed itself, never? The mattress on the other hand, needs to be replaced REALLY badly. The last time I did was probably 8 years ago and it's wearing quite thin. When was the last time you bought new shoes?
  13. Lupita
  14. Weirdly, what looks a lot like Fraggle Rock... some people in my house have strange taste in television.
