  2. Certainly, people do have some kind of idea of how they will play a character based on an already established franchise. But does this mean that they will play it as close to canon as possible? How many people think that their interpretation "is the best" even when it obviously clashes with canon lore? How many people insert their own views, current trends, and real-life issues? And then there is the issue of more complicated characters that have been either Flanderized by the fandom or simply completely misunderstood. I think we all should do our best and aim to become better. This goes for all of us, whether we are veteran roleplayers or complete newbies.
  3. It is important that we have a "good time", If we don't, then our role-playing will start to suffer, and we might end up quitting. But we should not forget that we have an obligation to the people that we are roleplaying with. We need that other player. If we didn't, then we could have simply written a novel instead. So the people we roleplay with also need to "have a good time." If you play in an RPG based on say an anime, you want to roleplay against those characters, right? Is it fun then if the other person can't properly roleplay? I get what you are saying. If you have a favorite character, you want to roleplay as it, just like a cosplayer wants to cosplay as their favorite characters. But if you look nothing like the character you cosplay as, this only really affects you as a cosplayer. But just like how "the wrong actor" can ruin a character in a movie, the same goes for an RPG. If a person can't capture the personality of an already established character, then it isn't fun to play with them. To wrap things up, I'll end it with this. If we can have expectations on a roleplayer's ability to form proper sentences, then we can have expectations on them being able to properly portray the characters that they have chosen to play as.
  4. Isn't that what it says though? I 'm sorry. I was a bit confused by this new addition. I thought it was a subsection that was going to be applied to this material. Mea culpa.
  5. As I understand it, this means that images that depict an "under-aged" character or a lolibaba in a somewhat "sexy pose", could now technically fall under the category as against the rules? Also, this means that even bikini/swimsuit, panties images of such characters or even "short skirts" could fall under this? I understand why this new rule addition was added, but it really creates a lot of leeway for interpretation. As an example, in an rp with an "under-aged" character or a lolibaba with the new rule addition, technically it could be interpreted as against the rules if you say post an image of a pair of panties or swimsuit (that nobody is wearing) and then you say that your under-aged or lolibaba character wears this. If this isn't the intention, could we get some sort of addition that would make sure that these sort of things explicitly not fall under the new rules?

Sorry that I have been away for so long. As an apology, here are some Character art that I created for the RPG.
  7. Fact: This is my first post in this thread. False: I wrote this with my eyes closed.
