Man o' man, I'll be honest with y'all I didn't think I would head this direction with the character. But rereading it and listening to a specific soundtrack is kinda making me a little emotional, but I love writing about the broken character, no matter how strong or big they are. Shame Daliah ain't there.

Austin breathed silently, but much like the wind it was heavier than expected. Admission was not his style of going about things but right now it was all he could afford. His son, while considered part of the pack, was Human, much like his former wife, however the boy shared his father's size and sheer strength but opted to not share the same blood that made Austin beast. He swallowed it down, but couldn't find the strength to keep his emotions in but by a thread. When Samara offered the big man help it was almost as if relief washed over his whole body, almost letting go but not quite, and admitting these things, remembering them almost broke him. But the Alpha- but Austin held it in despite the beads of tears almost swelling. He let loose a heavy breath, and as the woman put her hand on his forearm, telling it was time to reconnect, to come back essentially to the pack as he was meant to. Once she was done Austin raised his right arm, his hand moving behind Samara's head before pulling her head into his side much as he did with Johnathan all those years ago. His left hand clenched tightly enough that it sounded as if bone would shatter from the force, but in and out, his body slightly trembled with his voice. This was one of the few moments of weakness he had to show, and it had been almost fifteen years since he last shown any semblance of humanity toward anyone. This door that was opening was thanks to Austin's and Daliah's interaction in the library, a moment ruined by the Alpha's stubbornness. He... Would need to talk to her more, instead of the neglect he had shown everyone including Daliah especially. Starting with Samara. Swallowing whatever lumps there were, Austin finally spoke in a softer tone, now tired on an emotional level, "Yes, then we will do that." There was more he could have said, Austin could have apologized for starts, but again he couldn't find the words not because of unwillingness but rather because he felt drained. He was physically sound, but the emotional conflict he battled daily was draining, and it was taking its toll. But for now, the man was living in the moment, not the past or worrying of the future, but simply embracing the present. -

Just outside the mansions lawn, the Alpha looked to the she-wolf before him, Samara. There were a variety of thoughts passing his mind, conflicting feelings, it was clouded up there in his noggin' and there were no simple words for it. I need help. He wanted so badly to say those words but he was too prideful to openly say it even if they were alone. He'd known Samara since she was a pup, the history of how he took her not important as of now but he couldn't help but feel some semblance of kinship, even if the young wolf didn't feel the same. The Alpha's affections for Samara weren't the same as what he felt toward Daliah... Internally he admitted that for the Beta there was genuine love, but fear and ire at the same time, and his unwillingness to trust anyone was an understatement. Looking away from the wolf- the woman Samara, Austin couldn't help but gaze at the massive shaved lawn before them, seeing the fireflies dance in the moonlight. It reminded him when he had gotten the pup into spirituality, a time when he still has his wife and child, a time when alongside the Old Man; Austin had it figured out. What changed? The massacre? His age? Or perhaps his inability to move on, unable to let go and express the sorrow he truly felt since then. These youngsters- he couldn't believe he was calling them that- getting together reminded Austin of a peculiar emptiness he had in his heart. More likely his soul at that. "I..." Austin starts, daring to not look at Samara, he instead turned his full body toward the dance of lightning bugs in the yard, taking in the sharp and cool air, "Remember a time when you were so young. I remember when you played with John when he was around, you both were so little. Samantha didn't agree with me joining the pack, I wasn't born into it, but my lineage into the first packs of the known world allowed me to become blooded, much like my brother in Scandinavia. I don't know what's happened to me since then- what's happening to me now, Samara, but I..." Austin knew he didn't have to say the words, he could let Samara feel them out. But he was tired, tired of feeling weak, tired of secluding himself and shutting out everyone in his life, he was tired of the sorrow he felt. He didn't want her to feel anything out, he wanted to say it, actually rely on his own willingness. Swallowing a lump in his throat, the Alpha actually seemed to struggle with his next words, but quietly, in an almost deaf whisper, he finally said, "I... I need help." -
One of the pack members, Samara, had turned wolf. Good, he didn't want to waste any time getting back. However deep down there was a slight longing for something, seeing the trio fornicating made him recollect of his past, how long has it been since he's mated? Certainly be could do it of he'd let anyone get close. Shaking the thought from his head, Austin would double down on the current situation and focus his thoughts and away from the pheromones' effects. Turning away the Alpha lead the way, despite his size, his speed was contradictory to his body. Big wasn't meant to translate to fast especially if one is just over seven feet tall, but even out of his beastial form the Alpha moved like the wind. However he didn't go all out, Austin kept his pace to ensure that the others could keep up, but if they weren't wolf-kin themselves then they deserved to be left behind for other predators. After minutes, Austin could tell they were closer by the general change in area, exiting the deep woods, he could see the mansion in the distance. Deciding to slow to a jog, then a walk, Austin looked back to the other two individuals and said, "Go on ahead, I will have words with Samara, privately." //Transitioning to mansion area//

That mutherfucker be looking like an elf XD pointed ears and shit that's the first thing that came to mind. Though, Boy oh boy, think I'm gonna have Austin break the news to the pack once they return about the deep woods... Kinda shitty if he just wait imo. Boy oh boy, can't wait for the Beta's reaction

Austin analyzed the situation, and the only thing embarrassing were the pack member's appearance and the fact that their Alpha had to be the one to catch them. Why him? He gave the trio a hard look, trying to decide as to what to say, however there wasn't much to say about their situation. Just orders is all he could give. "There have been... Happenings. You three will go the mansion immediately, I'm not being lenient this time." Austin said in a stoic tone, one that mirrored how he felt. If Samara felt him out right now it was serious, more urgent as if it was an emergency. He stood there with his arms now crossed, not giving anyone time to "finish" what was started, abd like children, he was going to escort these pups back to the home. Right now he wanted their numbers strong and to have himself travel with the group instead of dispersing on his own for them to get attacked.

From the mansion through the Deep woods Austin was traveling at blinding speed, he followed the scent trail of the doctor. He's been around her many times to recognize such a scent, but unfortunately he always forgot her name despite being very important to the pack. He'll ask again, and he'll forget again, such is the mindset of the Alpha. As he drew near he could hear the waterfall and the roaring river nearby, picking up the scent combined with the pheromones that now littered the area. Immediately however Austin heard moaning, and he thought back to the painful whine of the warrior back at the infirmary. His warning signs kicked in and he was ready for a fight, and with his hat and trench coat still on there was no doubt either or would rip from his transformation. Not thinking of dramatics, Austin perched himself atop a large rock overlooking general area, ten feet would be enough room to showcase his turn from man to beast and- "heey doctor Flores.... I uhm... saw your note... and came to ask you about... a thing... but ill a... do that later... as... my pants seem to be... too big... so... illl.... uh... ya... I should... go.... right?" The Alpha's gaze rested at the young girl before him, then it shifted to two other individuals who were fornicating. With a heavy and quite vocal sigh, Austin brought a hand up to his and started to rub the irritated expression. Of all the things, all of the scenarios he had to walk into, why this? He then said with a serious tone to himself, "We're in the middle of being attacked at the borders and you idiots want to fuck... That makes complete sense... Let's just all have an orgy and get killed in the process..."

Returning from the woods after his... Little run-in had Auvunux feeling both relief and tiredness. It could have escalated further but didn't, which was good for him and the pack. He set the warrior down and he opened the door for her, still in wolf form, and she hobbled her way into the building with the Alpha shutting the door behind him. With a sigh, he took his hat off and ran a free hand across the top of his head. "Let us see if the good doctor will fix you up." Austin says to the she-wolf as they went on down the hall. He took his time as the warrior still limped around, and once they arrived at the doctor's office... There were no lights, and there was a note on a desk when his flipped the switch. He looked it over and sighed, with the interaction he just had, this new development was more annoying than anything else. Austin hefted the warrior onto a table and said, "Make yourself comfortable, it seems I'm hunting the one person we need." And again, Austin set out through the Deep Woods to find the one person that actually mattered to him. -
Austin grunted when the spade tongues' magic washed over the scout, and while she was healed it was only to an extent that deep and lethal wounds were healed. Carefully Austin set the warrior down who remained in wolf form but continued to listen to the woman. He should have taken it, but this was a big step for the Alpha instead of trying to rip another vampire apart. Still, his intentions were to divert all efforts to the inner territories, maybe even expand behind the mansion more and well away from the vampires. If he did this he had the feeling that the woman would hold her word despite words failing. "Come," Austin says to the wolf, processing everything that has happened thus far, "Let us go home."

Right right, I understand that now. That was my concern was I'd she was this, "End all be all," level of power. Which, kinda puts the two into their own tiers. And I don't have intentions for Austin to fight her either, right now he's more concerned about vampires getting closer which is why he'd only take the deal if the area stays neutral, as I said in that scene... Twice I think? But I digress, in due time it could just fall back into the vampires control until some fuckhead starts messing with the werewolves... Again. That and with the missing scouts and the slaughtered family of that thrall, it'd be interesting to see a third player that both factions have to deal with.
