"Then it is a stray, none of mine have done that, they aren't that stupid," Auvunux replies, while keeping that same, false calm demeanor, it was clear he didn't take the warning seriously however his tone got low for just a moment, "I need not some history lesson, they're dead, and I am here. They all are. My end of the bargain stands that we will cease control of this region so long as it remains neutral territory, and keep to our inner sanctums and our part of the woods. That is the only way I will agree to this." Now it seemed Auvunux was beginning to grow a tad serious but not for his own or the vampires sake. He was no gung-ho pup, and though his careless display showcased a writhing frustration from Miana, if she could feel it herself the Alpha was not concerned about her at all, dangerous or no. Unlike his predecessors, he held no fear no matter how grave the situation was, he always met it head on. He has no reason to believe that this "aggressor" existed, save for his wounded scout and wherever the others might be. Dead most likely. At this point the man was stubborn as a rock, unmoving and even when thrown shown no emotion of it. He picked up the small warrior who yelped out of pain, stuck in her wolf form due to the severe injuries. Austin begun to move uphill and past the vampire, but not quite leaving, not yet. He then says, "If this area remains neutral, we have no reason to reclaim it," His words were heavy, suggesting that maybe in the future they wouldn't gun for the position and the area falls back into the vampires control at long last, "Keep your word, and I keep mine."

@KitsuyumiaSorry fir the ping, I did not mean to do this, the site has been saving previous posts and I'm not too happy about it. So I'm not certain how to remove your name or whatever. That said, is Miana stronger than Austin physically? Like her excelling in power, for sure, but physically is she superior? Because I really wanna know that answer or if her saving grace is just magic and other supernatural stuff..

When Auvunux listened a variety of scenarios and responses played in his head. Insults he wouldn't utter under normal circumstances. This wasn't a normal circumstance at all, it was a dire situation, one of which he wasn't too pleased of. Normally he would snarl and gnash teeth, a true brute that was decently intelligent, but right now he needed to think of a way out of this situation so that the pack could still fight another day without a major loss. But the woman's assumption that mating season was a weakness was born accurate... And inaccurate. What would the Old Man do? Auvunux gave a hearty laugh, the first time that Miana would have seen in their years that they've known each other, this was very uncharacteristic of the Alpha. His laughter seemed to grow harder, a pointed jab at the vampire, until he forced himself to calm down. Even if she were to go on the offensive now, he relaxed his shoulders, another thing that was out of the Alpha's character. After calming himself, he looked to the woman with a coy smile, "Ahhh... You are a funny one, woman. You say it is your land, many ages ago it was but that time is long passed. You had every opportunity, even during our mating seasons, to take it, even when we were weaker than now, you never opted to try your hand. You and I both know that attacking during the season is the worst mistake, but, for shits and giggles, I'll still explain it to you." Right now Auvunux acted much like the old pack leader, a bane to the vampires efforts and of true wits and cunning. When he found something stupid and insignificant, he laughed and pointed it out, and had been known to called his adversaries fucking idiots. The current Alpha continued, "Attacking the pack during mating season would send us into a fury, a focused anger, and right now, the pack being so passive as it has been is what you need. This wouldn't be the first time, and I believe that the last time it happened it almost wiped you spade tongues away, but that was ages ago and I digress." The Alpha shrugged nonchalantly, "It would benefit us both then, however, I will only agree to these terms if the dark woods remained neutral, and not claimed at all. We can move back to our side of the forest, however, the dark woods will remain neutral and no one will trespass from either side. That, or we can settle these things now, see who rips each other apart first. But you enjoy your longevity, do you not? It'd be a shame if it came to an abrupt stop." Right now all cards were on the table. Auvunux gave his counter, even a very good reason as to why attacking the pack would be a terrible mistake during the season. And all if it true, but his character right now was a disturbing one, almost as of not caring what was bound to happen. Deep down, he was counting on Miana taking the deal, it would benefit everyone that way and not just lopsided in the undead's favour. And both leaders knew that they had those in either faction that would not like the deal, but either way, this seemed to be the only thing they could strike. He would lose territory, but only if the woman did so as well.

Before the vampire could announce her presence, Austin already felt it shimmer through the wind. Like a cold wave of water meeting his skin, his hairs raised upon such feeling. He glanced at the wounded scout once and after a nod in affirmation he set her down just at the entrance of the makeshift den. Austin then rose to full height, his anger swelled but was unmoving, his fearlessness unwavering, he knew that presence. Miana. The Alpha turned to the Queen, two opposites of life, one living and one dead, natural and unnatural, day and night. Austin's time was low but he was careful with his words, he had a wounded wolf behind him and the Alpha couldn't risk a potential fight, nor her safety. What would the old man do, Austin thought you himself. And perhaps the undead wench's offer to heal the wolf was genuine, but he had dealt with their kind before, and while his ill will was beyond reasoning he wasn't without a bit of wisdom. His own presence could be felt, compared to the woman's cold aura, his was like a raging flame; chaotic, violent, and never ending. With a slow and silent exhale the Alpha figured it was time to address the situation at hand, and confront the woman of his disappearing warriors. His aura was one of a cautionary temper, one wrong thing said and he would explode. The previous Alpha was a force of reckoning but not in the way Austin was, he was smart, cunning, always treated everything including the vampires like some big game. Numerous times he's toyed with them in battles, and he was undefeated even against the most powerful. Austin was a hot headed beast, more physical than any other Alpha... But he needed to start treating this like the Old Man did way back when. "Miana Blackthorne," Auvunux starts, looking up from his hat at the woman uphill before him, "There seems to be a situation which I am certain you are aware of. I have three scouts, warriors, missing in the past week, particularly in this area and toward the edge of the border. I want them back, or in the least, affirm as to what happened to them. Either that, or you can walk away now."

After leaving the mansion it had been a good several minutes walk through the right pathways. Anger, exhaustion, defeat are what described the Alpha of the Midnight Pack right now, and foolishly he walked the same path of one of the scouts that had gone missing. With a heavy trench coat for the cool night and a wide brim open crown hat, Austin was going to investigate what exactly had happened in the area that Rava and the wolf he never asked the name for. Anger, exhaustion, defeat, were replaced with vigilance and... Well, anger. The fact that the vampires were now attacking didn't surprise him, they must have known of the packs dwindling numbers. These thoughts dus not cloud the Alpha's mind but instead helped him focus on his goal. Then suddenly he stopped, what was a blur of his sheer speed slower to an immediate stop, followed by several running steps to ensure he wasn't going to fall. There was a scent, blood, but of what? He knelt down and felt the ground, he closed his eyes and honed his sense of smell until he realized what it was. Wolves blood. Austin stood and started to follow the tracks, he could see through the dark woods thanks to his enhanced sight, though he could smell Rava and the Omega there was another not far from the oath they took. After minutes he finally came to a decline, a downhill slope entering a massive river, then a noise alerted him. Aside from the roaring waters he could hear rustling, not of something lively but slow moving. And whining. Carefully Austin made his to the area where he found an opening to a mud den, most likely some animal had made it, but there was slight whining that continued from it. Getting to one knee, he poked his head to it's entrance to see a bloodied and wounded wolf, however the scent of this one was of the pack. With a growl, she started to brandish her teeth, but Austin put a hand up defensively before calling it up. Slowly, he crept his fist into the opening of the wolf who snapped twice at the limb. Austin said quietly, "Sshhh, I am not here to hurt you, warrior." The growling slowed and he could hear the sniffing of the young wolf. All defenses stopped, and the wolf whined as she recognized the Alpha's voice and his own scent. While this would be an opportune time to sneak up on the Alpha of the Midnight Pack, any novice would take it. However anyone who knew Auvunux also knew how foolish a decision that was, he was fast with reflexes, he could easily pick up any scent no matter how camouflaged it was, and his hearing was a bane to even the quietest of heartbeats. The tenderness he shown this warrior was necessary and by choice completely, the Alpha starts to carefully work the injured female from the mud den, shimmying and working her from the right space. He was here now, and there was nothing that could hurt her.

Austin fell silent for a good minute, more or less assessing the situation. The words he took in were heavy though these two pups made them seem so nonchalant. This also supported the fact that the idea of the pack stepping back to the inner territories instead of being widespread. And under most circumstances he would stand against the thought completely however they were against a powerful enemy vs. lesser numbers. And the fact that the vampires concocted some explosive, a trick device no less, it made for a new problem. Under normal circumstances Austin would have an Omega, or a stray, take several trials but right now they needed numbers. He trusted Rava... Somewhat, and he wasn't sure if allowing some stranger into their home was the best idea. However, again, they needed numbers but he first needed to see what this stray pup was capable of, that was fir tomorrow. With a hefty breath, Austin says taking the matter seriously, "Find him a room, we have plenty of spares. Tell the others that are still awake to keep to the inner territories, I don't want anyone going out tonight. As for you, pup," Austin looked to the newcomer, "Tomorrow we will see what you have for us. Rava, if he causes any problems it will fall on both of you, I will be gone for some time." Without as much a welcome than anything, Austin pulled a hat and a heavy trench coat from one of the entrances rack and threw them on, slamming the door behind him. His only thoughts were the dark woods, and his thoughts lingered on a particular elder vampire. Miana. -
I'm sorry I did not mean to quote you at all, I'm not entirely sure how to unquote someone. Also, speaking about orgies I don't mind something like that as long as some dude's not grinding against Austin... That's asking for death. Also, can we clarify certain areas being for the wolf pack/vampires? I'm to assume the dark forest being vamp territory yeah?

Austin's heard Rava's words and seen the newcomer bow in respect. As he continued to scan the lesser wolf he took in all he could, coming up to that this one was still quite young and unafraid. Much like many of their kind before, always the smaller and younger whelps to lurch at any given battle should they feel the need, eagerness, naivety, carelessness. However his eyes didn't linger on the fearless Omega, for they made their way to Rava as she explained some new tool the vampires had. And this almost stopped his heart. 'Were the undead already trespassing the inner territories?' Thought Austin as he gritted his teeth. The Alpha's left fist was clenched and the sounded a cracking bone could be heard quite audibly, marking his mood just further soured, and from him there slowly spewed a sense of danger to the pair; almost an impending doom. Austin finally spoke, "You will describe the weapon, and you will tell me where exactly you were." -
@Lady_Xien @Icarian Dreams I'm well aware of what either character/role are capable of. However when it comes to "guidance" on a personal level I think going to a Gamma would be better. It's in the fact that Austin never really cared for religion nor therapy but now he's just like, "Fuck it." ALSO, in regards to the foyer scene: BIG DICK ENERGY GO!!!

BladeRunner replied to Kitsuyumia's topic in The Clans of Spruce Moore (Werewolves and Vampires)'s Midnight Mansion
It had already been an interesting night, with what the... Tender moment that was unexpected with Daliah. Austin had walked through the home without as much a glance toward anyone passing through. His thoughts were clouded, in one way he wished he could have remained with the Beta however he tore from her soft caress as painful memories flooded back, his decisions were questionable to someone who was extremely close observant. Then his thoughts were cut off by two nearby scents. Rava was a unique one, while her scent was odd in itself to him it reminded the Alpha of wildflowers, however there was another scent. Musky, meaning recent arousal almost drew a sneer of distaste, but the scent was new as well which meant that Rava picked someone up or someone was trespassing. Steeling himself from the self defeat moments ago, Austin had somehow missed Rava of she was nearby, and looked straight to the new male, an Omega, and stared to guage the individual. Approaching slowly, his bootsteps were heavy, and the Alpha's size seemed to almost grow as he drew near the pair. He was monstrous, his muscles and body were barely contained beneath the clothes that held the man, and his gaze was enough to cause those with great courage to even back down. Naturally, this was Auvunux, even of he weren't a werewolf he was still an Alpha at heart, and his appearance combined with the scars helped that assumption. In his naturally deep tone, the Alpha finally spoke calmly when he was but two feet away, easily towering over either individual, "Rava, who have you brought to our home?" -
Before he exited, Austin stopped just at the exit. He awaited for the woman to speak, for Daliah to say anything. His teeth gritted at such an inopportune time when she spoke, not out of anger toward her but at himself more so. He wasn't blind, yet his decision-making wasn't the best as if recent perhaps offering more lax than opposed to the... It wasn't anything strong nor anything to rule, merely he was failing at his job to run a pack properly. When Austin took over he gave much inspiration, though lost, his more aggressive nature took a backstep and though he was excitable at nearly all moments he actually had to think for a change. And now, given years of decadence, he was the former man he used to be, less attuned with his bestial side and seeming more of a pitiful Human. Austin was not who he used to be, so what was wrong? With a sigh a good minute after Daliah lectured him out of anger, disappointment and disbelief, that same sigh seemed more like... Relief? "No," Austin starts softly, trying to find the correct words but instead spoke what he felt instead of what he thought for the first time in what seemed like ages, "Rest, take a break, come tomorrow morning when all are awake I will notify them myself. Then... I will... see that Gamma the old man was always urging me to. I'm..." Austin's right foot was already out the door, and he finally said, "I am not who I used to be. And I could... Maybe... Use- Need help in reconnecting myself to the pack. I'm... Sorry." Either something was wrong which was quiet evident or Austin actually opened up, just by a little. He finally walked out of the library, however he felt nothing more than defeat and exhaustion on an emotional level. The Alpha especially apologized, an extremely rare occurrence that few got to witness, and the honest admission he gave to Daliah was unexpected as well. He was too proud an individual to admit defeat or even aid, he always did everything himself, but he delved too far back into the weeds and became trapped in the mud. But when Austin meant something like an apology and what he had said to Daliah, it didn't matter if the damage was done, he still says it.

WorldBuilding OOC
BladeRunner replied to Busterbugs's topic in Tales Of North Giana(Under Construction)'s Characters And OOC
I'll be on later at some point to do stuff. Now for the main two kingdoms of Giana, the North one for the Elves, Humans and Dragons // So I was thinking that the North city could be a mix of SteamPunk, thanks to humans and Dwarfs and Plus something added because of the Elves and Dragons, but I’m not sure what. If you're gunning for a Steampunk vibe with this with the Dwarves, my suggestion is having Dragons be a subrace (if they're playable) as Draconians ie. Dragon Lance, have the kingdom(s) divided in sections- and yes, while Elves, Humans, Dwarves and "Dragons" are allied have them with their own territories; this would allow for autonomy amongst the groups, and even then, at the same time you could have them rely on one another for resources, troops, etc. etc. That said, I think political influences could be a thing: Dwarves are naturally greedy (maybe not in this world) and have unwavering pride which conflicts against the Dragon's dominant and superior nature. I think maybe civil to nation wars between Humans and Elves make for a shaky alliance, but setting aside most differences after an elongated stalemate would allow them to work hand in hand. Not saying these have to be options, but I'm just throwing these out there. As far as designs for races go of settlements, have them have a unique style, Dwarves and Humans have more Steampunk styles of buildings: the former is more heavy on machinery whilst the latter is more dependant on natural shiz (stonework, masonry, etc.). Elves could utilize unique metal-infused stone for their structures, as well as rare-metals (say Titanite, Moonstone, bismuth-type material) for general equipment and overall work. I honestly think dragons would generally use stoneworks for buildings and whatever else, maybe even work with Dwarves (if they absolutely have to) for mining operations. Also, I think Goblins and Hobgoblins should be part of the Southern regions sharing with the Vampire, Orc, and whatever else. Generally you could have a variety of nomadic tribes of Hobgoblins, more or less traversing the Great Swamps of [insert name] and keep to themselves, I can see them just being seekers of magic. While the Goblins are more like rats but Dwarves, they inhabit the underground's, can make up a bolster of various armies, and inhabit most the land whilst being widespread and easy to work with (due to their greed).
