They say it's all the little things that add up, and there's so many individual little things that make a big difference when writing with love_and_poprocks. She is very open to hearing her partner's ideas even when working on her plot idea or story seed, and while she definitely has an intent in mind with the story, she's open to change if she believes your ideas will help make it better or more enjoyable for the both of you. This rolls into how accommodating she is, checking to see what sort of kinks or ideas her partner wishes to explore.
However, what really grabbed me was the manner in which she conveyed her character's personality. As I said, it's the little things that add up, and love_and_poprocks knows how to describe the facial expressions, the way in which her character walks, sits, or gestures, and many other little bits of information that clearly communicate the loveable personality in my brain. It's one thing to select a hot photo reference for the character, it's enough to convey a personality that makes one eager to interact each post, yearning to see how she'll respond.
These elements persist both outside of and within the smut. Taking the lead in a scene can be difficult as it depends heavily on your partner's ability to respond (though, in turn, the partner's ability to respond requires you offer enough to lead). It was intoxicating witnessing the picture painted by her prose, visualizing and hearing every bit of pleasure her character experienced. Those same bits of body language and expressions are just as important here, and they truly helped sell the scene as a passionate one.
I was admittedly nervous and anticipating love_and_poprocks to be too busy or to reject me when I reached out, but I'm so glad I took the chance because she is the model of an ideal partner. However, I must caution that this means she certainly deserves a top-class partner herself, so be ready to push your own abilities to the limit to help provide excellent characters, story ideas, and details for her to work with. It is a partnership, after all.
