  1. Its not just the dying! You start off thinking, "I'm going to make a bad ass space pirate. Probably in his thirties, experienced but not old, you know." Hard cut to: You start the adventure as a 56 year old with one arm, who spent 20 years in jail, and whos primary skill is reading poetry. And the best part, is that they;ll be fun to play, and it will all kind of make sense how you got there. Honestly, the character creation is a game in of itself.

  2. I really like Ironsworn! At least as a base. I've been running games for a while (With a definite, not-entirely-on-purpose) for a long time. I've kind of hacked it for my own purposes, and its a very easy hack. Lewds, proper adventures, gmless play. Its excellent if you like your Fiction First, rules lite, narratively focused systems. On the other hand, though I've never done a smutty game with it, pathfinder 2e has been a lot of fun. Tried Traveller for the first time too, recently, and I think it might have the most fun character creation of all time!

  3. Very guilty. Don't get me started on my book collection. Or do. The Hobbit, as the first fantasy book that my father read to me, and the one that inspired me to write fantasy fiction and got me into D&D and then into the other games I play, holds a special place in my heart. I have multiple copies of it, including the one my father read to me. But my prized copy is a 2nd edition 4th impression with the dust jacket! ...and now everyone knows I'm a giant book nerd who spends too much money on collectibles. The next person collects something other than dust.

  5. Traveller has the most bonkers character creation. I have a friend who always brings up his character that died during character creation so he had to start over, lol

  6. Traveler is the only game I know of where you can die during character creation. It's so much fun! I tried emulating the system when I designed my own game years ago, but I never got where I wanted it to go. Ironsworn is amazing for solo play! I've created some amazing characters and worlds using it as a base. I never played PF2e, just PF1 back with my in person group. I've heard good things, but I lost interest in the d20 simulation style games.

  7. Nymphia turned to Jumi, managing to show a little blush, "I hope it will not come to that... Even watching would be incredibly teasing. After what she has been through, I am surprised that she would still have any energy left for this. At least for today... She was pretty rough with Mitsuko and myself. No complaints, though...", she said, finishing to dress for the time being. Once she was done, she made sure to gather her things then waited for Jumi to be ready as well. Nymphia too hoped that Shinigami was not too restless. Not only for sexual reasons. She may not look wounded but her state was still a concerning. A worry about a beast girl

  9. Newbie or no, the whole point of the club is to share/play. Don't be shy. Iron Crown's highest achievement was Claw Law, Spell Law and City State of the Invincible Overlord, in my opinion - I never played their take on Middle Earth though. The current One Ring from Fria Liga is REALLY good, I'll take all versions of Champions (although I'm not a fan of Hero - there are better ways to do fantasy of whatever). I concur on Ars - the setting kind of sucks, but damn those magic rules are brilliant. And, welcome. Probably should have lead with that.
