One evidence was that Shinigami certainly had lot of power but where from was a question for another time. To hear that a magical girl or two actually accepted the beast did raise some hope.   4. There was a lot more uncertainty how Jumi and Reika’s next meeting would go. Reika had said Jumi would not like what she heard, it was true, there were unpleasant things she had learned. Being so connected to Death was not a good thing either. But she seemed to have regret Mitsuko being unintentionally hurt and was making a legitimate effort to heal her.   5. Hellhound only looked happier as the neko seemed to take offense into her words. The malicious attitude was one too commonly seen with demons, one buffed by too much ego or arrogance. It was one of the thing that annoyed the hound the most, especially when it was directed at her casually like she was a meaningless pet to leash around.
