Body/Gender Swap At the Festival and Maybe Longer

Looking for a story here with an 18 year old man and woman, who are dates to big festival but have a body swap just before hand, which may or may not be a surprise.  Might just be for the night, or could be longer.

The idea is a moderately large city that has had a large annual tradition.  Each year there is a major celebration for everyone who turned 18 that year, a big party before they properly begin their adult lives.  Shows, games, contests, rides, food, all the various things you might see at such a thing.  It ends with a big dance, and the vast majority of those present bring a date.

Our characters are going to this as a date, but what are they?  Friends?  Neighbors?  Coworkers?  Former classmates?  Already a couple?  They could even be strangers.  A few days before the festival, all the 18 year olds are gathered to hear speeches, congratulating them on being about to join society as adults, some explanation of the festival, and once it over, a chance to talk a bit, and for those who do not have a date already to possibly get one.  If we go the stranger route, your character would be a cute girl he asked to go with him.

That much will be the case however we do it.  But there are two rather different ways we can handle the switch.

1. Surprise.  In the case, they are the only ones to experience it.  They have no idea it is going to happen, but it does, a few hours before the festival.  A flash of light and they find each other in the other’s body.  After a moment of panic, they contact each other.  Figure out what happened, and decided to meet at the festival and see what happens.

2.  Planned.  Under this idea, another aspect is added to the festival.  Everyone at the festival switches bodies with their dates, through some drug/ritual/magic (an otherwise modern city, with a bit of supernatural mixed in).  In this case, spending a day as the opposite gender is considered a rite of passage.  Something every new adult must experience.

Whichever option we go with.  They spend their festival in the other’s body.  My character getting used to differences of being a woman, your character’s body.  And the awkwardness of being on a date with a woman inside his body.  Strange, possibly a surprise, but s/he ultimately has fun.  And as the time goes by, especially during the dance, temptations grow.  They are 18 now, whether everyone is swapped or not, it is courtship of a sort.  While it is not openly encouraged, the people organizing the parade know at least a decent portion of the pairs will be sneaking off somewhere discreet to have sex after the dance.  A decent number become couples, if they were not already.

When the night is over, what will they wake up to?  Will they still be in the other’s body or have switched back?  If they switched back, was it a one time thing or do they continue to switch from time to time?  Do they learn a way to make controlled switches?

All of these are options we can discuss.  It might just be a brief taste of the other gender, or something bigger.  If there is a longer switch or on and off switching, I would be up to mixing in other stuff.  Optionally some FxF, for one or both character’s when in the woman’s body.  Maybe trying to live the other life for a day or two at a time.  Maybe when switched, my character sees what it like with other men as a woman or your character other women as a man.   Both could be involved with women as a woman. Hoping for long term, a strong mix of plenty of sex but also plenty of story.  It is a very flexible idea I am happy to work out the details with you on.
