Life isn't bad for your character. Son to a mighty and respected warrior, enough money to not worry about food, his mother is nice, and their home is a quite big 2 story house. All achieved by his father during his prime. But there is one flaw to his life. He has not inherited his father's talent for the art of fighting. Not that he is completely useless, but he has hit his ceiling already it seems. While their relationship isn't bad, the father is somewhat reserved around your character, his son that he should be raising into a fine man, yet does not know how to.
One technically easy solution would be to win at the Festival of the Hunt. An old tradition, created by the founders of their nation. Adventurers, soldiers, mages, anyone who could fight, would be competing for who could slay the most monsters in a relatively short time. The reward would be to state a wish to the king himself, and it usually being granted or mildly changed. One could simply wish for money and be handed a small fortune. But what are his odds?
One day, your character goes through his usual routine. Attends to his work (your call what they work as), takes a break, and suddenly LIGHTNING STRIKES not far from him. Who wouldn't want to see what was happening, right? And when he arrived, there were a few things to notice. What happened? A duel between mages. One of them on the ground, the other... an adorable little girl? "Hmph! I'm not taking a mage as my apprentice and that's final! Now don't bother me again." she proclaimed, and simply walked off.
Angry or not, she just raised an idea. His father already tried to teach him, but it didn't quite work. But he never tried another teacher. And... maybe that one could teach him something he needed? And truth be told, maybe something else draws him to her while at it.

Name: Lilly Bedivere
Age: ??
Background: Assuming this little witch is the same Lilly Bedivere as the one known to the mage's guild, she would be an accomplished and pwerful witch with a good amount of achievements to her name. Fighting monsters, working as a teacher, even assisted the hero for some time. Those who know her can only assume that her... diminutive stature is the result of her research. Those who don't know her are likely to mistake her as a prodigy, which she will correct at the earliest convenience, since she is not looking for fame.
Personality: Lilly at her base, is a kind soul who wants everyone to get along. But she is aware that this is a silly wish. Still. She has devoted her time to research that could benefit people rahter than just mages or nobility, hinting at her idyllic wish. As for her surface level personality, she is a hardworking girl with silly moments in between, who struggles to catch on social cues.
Companion: Dusty
Dusty is a surprisingly smart cat that Lilly uses as courier and lookout. While it doesn't talk, it seems to understand human speech.
So... Yeah. That's as far as my idea goes. But to add some details, I am looking for someone to take the role of the son, for him to see Lilly, and both fall in love with her cute little face, while also thinking she might be able to help him. If he knows her name is completely up to you.
Anything else about me should be in my preferences, but if any questions are still open, by all means, ask away. I have no preference regarding if you should ecchi text me or post here first, so do what you are more comfortable with.
