The App (A few hypno focused ideas)

Project Velvet Mask

At a university campus in the Midwest, a hypnotherapist and sociologist make a groundbreaking discovery. After months of research, countless grants, and years of their lives dedicated to this project, they have invented an app. The project is called Velvet Mask, and in all official documentation, the app is just referred to as VM. There is a lot of secrecy around this app because of the way that it works. The sociologist used analytical data to have the app infect all the content that appears on the target's phone, sending them subliminal messages. For example, if they are scrolling on social media, they will get a lot of suggestive posts if the scientists wanted them to be hornier. The hypnotherapist used data from users' favourite apps to allow VM to mimic those apps but slowly send the user into a deeply suggestive hypnotic state. 

This could be one long story with three chapters or 3 different stories if you don't love all the themes. 

First Contact

This version of the story would take place before the app is available to anyone outside of the team working on it. The hypnotherapist (MC) is in charge of developing the app, but he is also in charge of running therapy and hypnosis sessions for the university's somewhat troubled or struggling students (YC). MC slips a covert trigger sequence that he plans on using in MK into one of his meditation tracks that get sent out to all the stressed students, including YC. 

Maybe YC confronts the therapist, finding herself extremely susceptible during the time that she is listening to the meditation. Perhaps YC succumbs to the messaging that MC puts in when he realizes how effective it is. What happens between the two (or more) is up to you but this is an interesting place to start! 

Trial and Error

A company is formed around VM as the hypnotherapist and sociologist work together to acquire funding from individuals. Unfortunately, the wealthy folks funding the project require proof of concept and demand to test the obedience of the app. The scientists take one of the beta testers (YC) and assign them a trainer (MC) to prep YC for her 'product demo' where her obedience will be put to the test to see if she can orgasm on command.

How this training happens, who YC is, and much more are very editable about this scenario. It can also be the same manipulated student who is trained so the story can progress if that is what you would prefer.

Widespread Usage

The app was a success, incredibly widespread usage in the country erupted. However, it became easy for wealthy people to acquire masses of 'subjects' willing to perform their bidding. Suddenly, hypnotized people were commodities. This led to trading of subjects and conditioning for specific traits, like silence, obedience, humiliation threshold, etc. Some common subjects are easily purchasable for reasonable prices, but those who are already well trained fetch an incredible figure. 

Maybe I play as a collector and you play as a new subject, but this is the first time that a subject is showing any resistance, quickly making YC a favorite project and needing special attention. Maybe I play someone purchasing a new subject and training them, maybe I play as a professional trainer, buying common subjects and turning them into something special, the choice is once again up to you. Finally, this story also works with the student at the start being trained/sold/etc.
