AsBloodTurnsEverCold Posted April 10 Posted April 10 (edited) And here she was...home. She looked at the door that bore her numberΒ and with a reassignment to her fate she inserted that beautiful key....and turned it. She opened the door slowly half expecting this all to have been a ruse and that she would opened herself up to a maze from which she would never escape. She was prepared. She had to be and yet as she stepped in what she found instead was....a room. A beautiful room that reminded her greatly of home.Β She stepped inside, heels clicking along the wood as she looked about this room of fine silks set up in a style she was used to.Β She closed the door behind her and stood there for a mother. Quiet...for a moment before the woman closed her eyes and traveled to the table in the middle and looked things over. She gently moved a tea cup and poured herself some water before she sat down "Well Meixiang. Here you are." she said. This hotel. This Diyu. Naraka. Hell or heaven? It was so difficult to tell but her spirit was...settling. She knew she was here because it was where she had gotten herself. She chuckled...if only her own mother could see this. She took a few moments to sip and relax before exploring the rest of the room. Bed, sitting room with Guzheng, old books she she quite enjoyed and often carried with her. Bathroom of course with make-up and perfumes all rare and unseen. The bath was another room with a seemingly endless pool built into the floor with petal. Products around it and a place to sit and speak and watch. A little area to prepare food too! It was all perfect. She ran her hands along the materials as she studied their craftsmanship. It was something she knew well. Good. Better than good truthfully. This place was something special from its head to its patrons. This was the after-life and it was where she'd be forever? Or perhaps it was a purgatory of its own. She did not know. She could accept her end but she did not know what lied beyond this. She searched again and beside the bed found a box of her favorite herbs for her pipe as well. She chuckled and picked up a few and sat down to pack the pipe as she pondered over things. The people she'd met and what they might be. A kitsune, a key part of this hotel it seemed and offering the people a treat in the form of herself. She was cute, but she was mysterious. How much did she know? The Man, Ayers, seemed a kind and respectful sort. Human? Well that appeared rare among the others but she knew nothing otherwise. British she believed? He didn't seem too ready to accept things as they were but she could tell he was a strong sort and learned most likely. The Wolf girl. Small. Cute. Mute. She clearly had lived a rough life with the scars upon her body but she didn't seem harmful at all. She just seemed frightened. Mother's words were not fault in the least but she was curious about her as well. How old was she? Where did she come from? A little mystery in an interestingly small frame. She could tell from her grip even while she was being careful that she was stronger than she looked. The Satyr seemed...innocent. Normal. Unaware, but it was clear she was young given her reaction to things though Mother might have been one of the oldest there and that was too plainly obvious. That was no problem. She was sure there was more to her too given how strong she looked too.Β She was sure she was a delightful sort, but self controlling? Well likely not. It was a curious collection so far but she didn't mind that. Her own cult had many within it so this myriad of men and women was...welcome. Calming in a way. She did hope to speak to them more and this was true. She wanted to do more even but that was her greed speaking as it always did. She finished packing her pipe and found a light in that same box. She lit it up and puffed a few time. It did not take long for the air around her to be filled with a sweet vanilla and ginger. She closed her eyes and relaxed. This was death huh..... Well while she was here she figured she may and well enjoy her time. They all had plenty. She'd take a deep breath and get up heading over to the box to pull out a deck of strange cards seemingly made of bone. She gently tied them to party of her dress before leaving her new home behind. It was time to explore! Edited April 11 by AsBloodTurnsEverCold 2
