Even if the intent is to delete the video just to buy time and not to get Robin totally off the hook, Mr. Askars seems to just want more offerings? sacrifices? I think he'd would tell Velvet something like, 'make sure you bring someone home with you tonight' in exchange for this favor. On one hand things did not go precisely how she'd hoped. In a better timeline the twins might have handed her the phone and instructed her to bring it over. If that had happened then she could have simply deleted the footage by 'mistake'. What she managed instead was a delaying action and a harder path forward.
