Apologies, as you will most certainly not want to hear this, but: we do not and will not ever allow direct uploads to posts (In post attachments). I can try to look at ways of trying to simplify this, if its possible. But at the moment the best you can hope for is copying and pasting a link and have it automatically embed the image to a post. Most people who use EcchiDreams use their smartphones and most phones have emoji's built into their keyboards, with apps like GBoard and the like. Desktop users can still use ":" if you type ":" followed by a character it will bring up the quick Emoji box.

It would break the rules if it was done in the main gallery. If you created a club however, this would be 'Extra Information', information for that club. However if creating a club is off the table, then I'd suggest using a third party image hosting site.

Yes, this is exactly the issue Tem was encountering, and it's something I’m starting to understand better now. The inconsistencies. While the workaround you mentioned works for me too, it’s strange that it doesn’t function the same way from the EcchiTexts index page. As far as I can tell, there’s currently no way to resolve this issue. It would definitely be helpful if there was an option to make this behavior consistent across all views. I have an idea that might work within the current framework, but it wouldn’t be optional, and I’m not sure what the impact would be. Still, I’ll look into it and see what I can come up with. I think we could call it a "Consistency Fix".

That would be something we can't do, as far as I am aware. Limitations in the underlying software framework. However I will note this down as a suggestion that can be optional under the software framework that's in development.

To clarify, the ability to delete messages was intentionally disabled during the previous administration. I’ve had a meeting with them to discuss the reasoning behind this, as there were significant issues that arose from allowing message deletions. One individual, in particular, took it upon themselves to criticize the previous administration, claiming they were "soft on harassment." However, that assertion was not only inaccurate but also deeply misleading. In reality, whenever harassment cases were reported and there was clear evidence, the harasser was banned without appeal. This was a strong and decisive response, and no one was given a free pass when there was proof of misconduct. The issue arose when people deleted individual messages, or when harassment occurred off-platform, making it difficult to investigate fully. As per our Terms of Service, specifically Section 10 on Evidence Policy, we require that victims make repeated requests for the harasser to cease and desist, and we need evidence to build a case. While this may seem like a burden, it is in place to ensure fairness and to avoid wrongful accusations. As you may know, any evidence that’s not directly tied to EcchiDreams or our Discord server is not considered, and this is why we can’t act on external evidence. One of the safeguards put in place by the previous administration to strengthen Section 10 was to prevent the deletion of EcchiText messages. When a message is deleted, it’s gone permanently—there’s no backup or copy that we can retrieve. This became painfully clear in a recent case (As we're still putting up with it today, in other areas), where a report was made about an alleged incident, but by the time we were able to address it, the content had already been deleted. Without the evidence, we were unable to take action. While I understand your desire for more control over message management, I must be clear that I have no intention of re-enabling the message deletion feature. The ability to delete messages, unfortunately, creates more risks than benefits in ensuring that harassment is properly dealt with and that we have the necessary evidence to take action when needed. Doesn't leaving the conversation remove that EcchiText from your folder? I thought that’s how it used to work. Clearly, something along the way has changed. Our reason for not liking people deleting things 'willy-nilly,' as you put it, doesn't apply to EcchiTexts, so it was never intentional that this stopped, and it wasn't something we changed. That being said, I’m happy to look into it.

You don't need to keep posting the same bulletin over and over and over again. I've deleted 46 of these exact bulletins. You can bump in the comments (Here).

It's unfortunately well-known that the ignore feature on this site (due to IPS limitations) is ineffective. There's not much we can do about it. The previous administration spent ten years trying to resolve this issue with IPS, but it led to no progress. This is also one of the reasons the parent company is developing its own software to replace the current system.

This was before my time, as I took over this account just last year, but I'm closing this thread because it's been 4 years since a last response.

And this event is now closed. The clubs that were unclaimed have now been deleted. I was surprised that no one took the Futanari Fan Club with nearly 800 members. I will admit I was surprised by that. 8 clubs were transferred 1 club was spared because its owner returned. The above will also act as a log of what happened here. See ya'll next year.

I never got around to saying so, but I wanted to confirm that the old settings have been restored and everything you could edit is now editable again. I couldn't fix the underlying issue because its a problem in the core, that IPS needs to address and at this point I've given up trying to have a professional conversation with them. As a normal dreamer you can own up to six, and I already see you have five. So you'll either have to: Delete three clubs so you can have all four of them. Delete two clubs for three of them. Delete one club for two of them. Delete none and only pick one If you want any of your clubs deleting please shoot me an EcchiText with the name or link to the club of yours you want deleting. Yes and no. It's a Progressive Web Application; which means that under certain conditions it can be installed via your web browser on both PC and Mobile. It was announced in a status; but the images are broken because I think Tem used Discord to put the images up and Discord has since changed the rules about how it's CDN is used. I will most likely have to update the guide.

Thank you for the positive feedback! I do want to assure you that the site should behave the same on desktop as it does on mobile. While there may be some differences in the tools available in the editor between the two versions, that's mainly because if we included all the buttons on the mobile version, there wouldn’t be much room left to type. Aside from that, the functionality should be identical. If you notice anything different, please let me know. I’m working on the issue as quickly as possible, and I’ve brought in some outside help to speed things up. However, I don’t have an ETA just yet.

This is a temporary issue. I was initially under the impression that Dreamers couldn’t edit their posts or topics in the way you’ve described. However, after reviewing your post history, it looks like there may be an exception in clubs or another issue that needs to be investigated. Regardless, it’s not possible to introduce granular controls for this. You should always be able to edit your preferences and roleplayer bulletins, but I don’t believe forum posts and topics should be edited too freely, as that defeats the purpose of having a forum. While I could introduce a time limit, it wouldn’t be specific to certain areas and would apply globally. Yes, I’m blaming IPS limitations again. Related to this, as mentioned here: https://ecchidreams.com/dreamer/2935-warning/?status=46513&type=status Editing posts has been temporarily disabled due to a bug that allows circumvention of penalties. This is being worked on, and in the meantime, all Dreamers—including Gold and Platinum members—have been set to the same permissions as normal Dreamers as a precaution. I don’t plan to introduce a time limit for post edits during this mitigation period, as it would undermine the purpose of the restriction in the first place.
