A question I've got about the site and services...
Tema replied to TheShyestGuy's question in EcchiMeta's Questions
Yes and no. It's a Progressive Web Application; which means that under certain conditions it can be installed via your web browser on both PC and Mobile. It was announced in a status; but the images are broken because I think Tem used Discord to put the images up and Discord has since changed the rules about how it's CDN is used. I will most likely have to update the guide. -
Thank you for the positive feedback! I do want to assure you that the site should behave the same on desktop as it does on mobile. While there may be some differences in the tools available in the editor between the two versions, that's mainly because if we included all the buttons on the mobile version, there wouldn’t be much room left to type. Aside from that, the functionality should be identical. If you notice anything different, please let me know. I’m working on the issue as quickly as possible, and I’ve brought in some outside help to speed things up. However, I don’t have an ETA just yet.

This is a temporary issue. I was initially under the impression that Dreamers couldn’t edit their posts or topics in the way you’ve described. However, after reviewing your post history, it looks like there may be an exception in clubs or another issue that needs to be investigated. Regardless, it’s not possible to introduce granular controls for this. You should always be able to edit your preferences and roleplayer bulletins, but I don’t believe forum posts and topics should be edited too freely, as that defeats the purpose of having a forum. While I could introduce a time limit, it wouldn’t be specific to certain areas and would apply globally. Yes, I’m blaming IPS limitations again. Related to this, as mentioned here: https://ecchidreams.com/dreamer/2935-warning/?status=46513&type=status Editing posts has been temporarily disabled due to a bug that allows circumvention of penalties. This is being worked on, and in the meantime, all Dreamers—including Gold and Platinum members—have been set to the same permissions as normal Dreamers as a precaution. I don’t plan to introduce a time limit for post edits during this mitigation period, as it would undermine the purpose of the restriction in the first place.

Guilty. Listening to one right now. The next person has put ice cubes in holes where they don't belong. (It's in this audiobook that I'm listening to.)

I'll take another look at it. I thought this had been fixed but for some inexplicable reason it keeps getting unfixed. -
I've inserted your claim, if no one from the other priorities claim it by September 1st, 2024; it'll be yours.

You've been a member of this club since March 2020 (Fourth Priority). I've inserted you as a claim, which is locked. As there are no moderators for it: if the owner doesn't appear by August 1st, 2024: It's yours. This is for ones who's owners have fallen inactive. But perhaps there should be an area for club adoptions where owners who no longer want to run their clubs or don't have time for it can put theirs up for adoption. That's something I should consider. For now I'd advise making a topic due to the fact that this is time based. It's a good idea though and gave me something to think about.

You've been a member of this club since May 2020 (Fourth Priority). I'm a moderator for it, so whilst I would outrank you if I decided to claim it, however I have no intention on doing so. Therefore I've inserted you as a claim, which is locked. If the owner doesn't appear by August 1st, 2024: It's yours.

Club Adoption 2024 Edition Since July 26th, 2017 EcchiDreams has included a feature called "Clubs," which allows users to create their own roleplays. Prior to that, our roleplays were primarily created by @Neptune, with only Platinum Dreamers having the ability to create their own. However, with the introduction of clubs, the number of roleplays on the site has significantly increased. These new clubs offer diverse and creative roleplaying experiences, distinct from the original offerings and each other. One challenge we anticipated before introducing this feature was the possibility of club owners becoming inactive and the negative impact on the entire club. To address this issue, we devised a straightforward solution: Club Adoptions. If a club owner remains inactive for over a year and there are other active members in the club, the ownership would be offered up for adoption. This marks the first time we have implemented such an adoption system since introducing the clubs feature. The current thinking is: Anyone can adopt a club however: First priority - should the club owner return during this time and claim it back, is to the club owner, of course. Second priority go to leaders of the club. Third priority go to moderators of the club. Fourth priority go to all members of the club who were members before today (May 24th, 2024) Then it's first come first served (Free for all). If first, second or third priority haven't put in an offer by August 1st, 2024; then it will go to the first person who claimed it. If forth priority haven't put in an offer by September 1st, 2024; then it will go to the first person who claimed it. If no one from the club puts in an offer then the club will go to whoever claims first. You cannot adopt a club if you have no more slots available. The clubs will be up for adoption for a period of 6 months from today (December 10th, 2024). If they remain unclaimed after that, then they will be deleted, along with all their content. What you do with the club afterwards is completely up-to-you (Within bounds of the Terms of Service, of course). You can even completely change it to something else if you so desired. What classifies as inactivity: If you own a club that has several members (Lets say more than 3) and you as an owner: Have not been on EcchiDreams for more than 1 year (365 days) from the perspective of start date. Have deactivated your account and have not been on EcchiDreams for more than 1 year (365 days) from the perspective of the end date. Have been perma-banned. Then your club will go up for adoption as and when required. We made this very clear a few years ago, and we're now doing what we said we were going to do. Once a club has been adopted, the ownership transfer is permanent. This means that if you, as the original owner, return after the adoption process and discover that your club is now in someone else's hands, you are not automatically entitled to reclaim ownership. While it is possible for the current owner to willingly transfer ownership back to you, they are not obligated to do so, and harassment on this matter will not be tolerated under Section 10 of the Terms of Service. This site is compatible with Chrome. I am using it on Chrome right now. Can you elaborate?

The images on this article? Yes I see this too, this is probably because Discord's changed their policy on their CDN. I will have to see if I can update these images or find a new host for these images. Interesting. Thanks for reporting it to me though.

This could be possible, and it sounds neat. But there would need to be some kind of logic inserted say like if they've put that they're available but haven't been on in more than a week, it shouldn't show that they're available. Otherwise we're going to end up with accounts saying that they're available but haven't been accessed in a year or two, for example.

Of course, its removal initially wasn't intended. However, I understand the reasons behind it. I'll investigate the matter, and ideally, it'll be reinstated by Friday evening, possibly even sooner. Just to clarify, it should function properly on desktops and potentially tablets. We have separate editors tailored for mobiles, tablets, and desktops, each with distinct features and functionalities. For instance, we avoid cluttering mobile screens with an extensive toolbar. Rest assured, this feature is supposed to be available on all devices, and I will see to it that it is restored. -

All the clubs listed above have now been removed which has triggered a content and reaction recount. We had no takers for any of the clubs this year, perhaps we'll have some next year.

Greetings, In our ever-connected digital world, it's crucial to discuss a prevalent concern; that is, catfishing, and the potential dangers associated with sharing sensitive content online. For a little while now we've been seeing an uptick of reports of people sharing NSFW IRL pictures supposedly "of themselves" which turn out to be leaked OnlyFans content or AI Generated Nudes, and then the same party requesting images of Dreamers or videos of them masturbating. This has raised more than enough eyebrows amongst the staff to start our own space program of rockets fuelled purely by raising eyebrows. Catfishing is nothing new; in fact there was a wave of it happening during the second administration here on EcchiDreams (Illogically Logical's administration ~2009) that gave birth to the recently updated rule under Section 10, Sub-Section 1. This is not a problem unique to EcchiDreams either, not by a long stretch. You can hopefully take the majority of the information and advice here and apply to literally any other platform. What is Catfishing? Catfishing involves the creation of false identities to deceive individuals, often leading to emotional manipulation, financial fraud, or even blackmail. Recognizing and understanding this practice is the first step in safeguarding yourself and others. Why do people Catfish? Catfishing, the act of creating false online personas, stems from diverse motivations. Some individuals seek validation or attention, using fake identities to garner admiration they feel is lacking in their own lives. Loneliness prompts others to form emotional connections they struggle to establish authentically. Additionally, some catfishers aim for deception, seeking personal gain or manipulating others for various reasons. Escape from reality and curiosity about different personas also drive this behavior. And apparently roleplaying fictional characters isn't good enough; they need to kind of LARP to get their kicks (we're not judging). However, there is a more sinister reason: some engage in catfishing to perpetrate blackmail or enter the dark trade of collecting and brokering sensitive or explicit content without consent, exploiting others for financial or personal gain. Community Guidelines and Safety Our platform strictly prohibits the submission or posting of any media content depicting real-life individuals in sexual situations or nudity, regardless of identity or age. This policy ensures a secure and respectful environment for all Dreamers. Section 18 specifically prohibits it, and Section 10, Sub-Section 1 prohibits even asking for them, and gives strong repercussions for repeatedly pressuring and pestering for them which will result in a ban as it is viewed as harassment; hence why it is under Section 10. The Risks of Sharing Sensitive Content Sharing intimate or explicit images is an inherently vulnerable act. Unfortunately, such content can be exploited by individuals known as "Porn Collectors" or "Nude Brokers" (a reality that's as concerning as it sounds). These individuals often distribute or sell sensitive material without consent, leading to potential blackmail, coercion, or wider unauthorized circulation. Regardless of your gender, it's crucial to comprehend the potential consequences of sharing such material. We haven't put these rules in place for a laugh; they're there for an understandable reason. Gender Neutrality in Risk Contrary to popular belief, men and women (and variations thereof) can fall victim to catfishing and the dangers associated with sharing sensitive content. These risks transcend gender and can affect anyone, regardless of their community or platform. Our Community Stands Against Harassment Our Terms of Service strictly prohibit harassment, including pestering for 'nudes' (real-life imagery of a sexual nature), or any such kind of material associated with it. We do not tolerate members pressuring or persistently requesting such content from others. Repeated pestering falls under harassment, a violation we take extremely seriously, as mentioned above. How You Can Help: Reporting and Seeking Help If you come across behavior that violates our community guidelines or makes you uncomfortable, please report it promptly. Reporting conversations where individuals solicit or pressure for explicit content is crucial in maintaining a safe environment for all Dreamers. Our platform provides reporting features to flag inappropriate behavior, including conversations soliciting 'nudes' (real-life imagery of a sexual nature), or any form of harassment. Your reports are confidential, and instrumental in our efforts to uphold community standards. Important Note: Do Not Entrap Others into Sending Nudes It's crucial to emphasize that while reporting is vital, intentionally attempting to lure or entrap individuals into sending explicit content is not appropriate or acceptable behavior. Please refrain from engaging in such actions and focus on reporting concerning behavior through the appropriate channels. Protecting Yourself Online To safeguard yourself against potential threats that aren't limited to just this community but online in general: Exercise Caution: Think critically before sharing personal or sensitive content online, even with individuals you trust. Know Your Rights: Understand the legal implications and guidelines surrounding the sharing of explicit content. Report Suspicious Activity: If you encounter any suspicious behavior or feel uncomfortable, report it promptly to our moderation team. Utilising Tools: Reverse Image Search One powerful tool to verify the authenticity of images is a reverse image search. Services like Google Images or TinEye allow you to upload or input an image's URL to find similar or identical images across the web. This can help identify fake profiles or flagged images associated with scams or catfishing. Ensuring a Secure Community In our community, your safety matters greatly. Each of us holds a vital role in establishing a secure environment. Prioritizing your safety online is crucial for a positive experience, both for yourself and for fellow Dreamers. Let's unite in upholding safety by remaining vigilant and responsible. By promptly reporting inappropriate behavior and staying informed about our community guidelines, we actively contribute to fostering a safer online space for everyone. If you have any concerns or need guidance on safety measures, please reach out to us via our contact form; or by sending any of the staff (Purple Names) a message. Stay safe and informed, The EcchiDreams Administration Image Source: 泉 彩 I wanted a catgirl that was fishing. A light hearted picture for a pretty heavy subject to kind of balance it out a little. Don't hate on her, she's just an innocent fisher who's only caught a shoe. Give her headpats instead. The artist did an excellent job on this picture although the architecture is a unique choice. It's a cute art style and I think it's a cute picture. I like the shades of blue of the water.

Copy from the example post you made: Ah! I now understand your point clearly. Thank you for providing that demonstration. The reason for this occurrence is that it automatically populates with information entered by other users into the tag system. It's not something we deliberately configured; it's influenced by the choices of other users. Just because other users have tagged their items in this manner doesn't necessarily make it fair game. I'll conduct a more thorough investigation, exploring options like blacklisting the tag or removing it from the system if feasible. To my understanding, if you were to create a tag like "DiscoramaBoogie," and then another user searches for "Disco," it would also appear as a suggestion for them as well. Thank you for your assistance in this matter.

There is no "Discord Tag" when making posts. The "Tag" thing is for tagging posts like you have done here with "fxm, ageplay, age difference, age gap, long term hopefully, incest mxf" they're with keywords not Discord names, and given that you've used it correctly, I suspect you already knew that.

It's not an annoyance, and I do appreciate it however bugs should be reported here: https://ecchidreams.com/help/support/bug-report/ If you find a bug that no one else has found you can get EcchiCredits for it!
