What use are friends if none of them want to join you!? It's not like you can choose the outfit, the two characters are a pair after all... The convention starts tomorrow and you've still got no partner for your dual cosplay! "The outfit is too risky." "My chest is too large." "Are you kidding? Nobody's hips are that wide! Find some realistic characters to cosplay!!" Excuses! But fact is you've asked everyone you know. You're out of options. And you were so certain you'd win the cosplay contest, too! If only you had a partner... "Hey sis, Mom says dinner is ready!", your brother shouts from downstairs. Of course - your brother! You're sure he'll do fine. A devious plan forms in your mind. Operation crossplay is a-go! You quickly head downstairs to the living room, where Kelsey is already waiting. You imagine him in the outfit. Yes. He'll be perfect. Now to trick him into wearing it... *** Near the edge of the Wetwoods, an hour before sunset. You watch patiently as the carrigages halt in front of the fallen trees. A leaf, shaking in the wind, tickles your cheek. They're getting out. Humans, as usual. Three wagons, one carriage. A few guards. Human. No problem. Patience. Three. Two. One. You hear a warcry. Go! Your powerful legs kick off the branch you were hiding behind, vaulting through the air, you land inbetween two human guards. They turn in surprise just in time to see the back of your axes hit them in the face. They both fall over, knocked out. The sound of clashing weapons fills your ear as your raidmates join the battle. You're outnumbered, but not by too much. Easy pickings. As you realize the battle is easily won, you get nervous. This is it. This is your last chance. You have to find a mate in this raid. You ignore the wagons and sprint for the carriage. You down another human, a female this time. Too muscular. Too broad. Too rough. None of these will do. All of your kin have found a mate long ago, but you always knew what you wanted. You'll only take the one. You'll find her this time. The door of the carriage rips out of it's hinges easily. You bend down slightly to peer into the darkness as your eyes adjust. The moment of thruth. You're relieved noone else can see your eyes right now, they must be big as saucers. An elf. An elf! And beautiful, too! Just what you wanted. What you needed! You've made it. This is your claim. You hear an adorable shriek as you fling her over your shoulder. (it wasn't a girl)
