Choosing the life of a human mortal over that of a fellow pixie. A human baby over her brother to be more exact. Thane, her brother, had had a treacherously malignant streak since he'd been a child. He had tortured animals in a most unpixie-like fashion until the day he had stolen away a human babe for his own amusement. The baby's cries had caught her attention when she had been out gathering food. Thinking back, he must have wanted her to find him, considering he'd done it near her common gathering grounds. When she had flown onto the scene, her heart had nearly broken at the sight. Blood, more than she thought possible, coated the grass around the babe and the cries had gone silent. Her senses were immediately overwhelmed and she felt herself fall to the ground, body and wings numb with horror. It was then that she caught sight of Thane standing nearby, his malevolent grin eagerly drinking in her pain. Instinct overrode her body and she blacked out. Sentry pixies found her screaming as she continuously bashed what used to be Thane's head with a rock. Later, before her father passed her sentence, she was told by the sentries who had found her that the baby had been returned to the humans, still alive. It was the only thing that kept her strong through it all. Now banished to the world of humans she still finds her own size disorienting at times as well as her lack of flight.
