These ideas are exactly as the title implies - things I've come up with that anyone can take and run with. Find a partner, play it up. I'd love if you share the outcome with me, but you are under no obligation to do so. Arranged Marriage, Wedding Night The wedding was arranged, as all weddings were in your homeland. You were not allowed to see your bride before you were married. Prior to the wedding you could only communicate via letters. During the ceremony, she wore a beautiful, flowing white gown that covered every last inch of her body, and a veil covered her face. She moved with all the practiced elegance and grace of every woman from your homeland, but the gown was designed to hide her form, to conceal anything at all about how she might look or the shape of her body. For all you knew, she might not even be fully human, especially as you were the third son. Sometimes families pawned off their unwanted women using large dowries, and this dowry was immense. It included lands, riches, servants, enough that even if nothing was left to you by your father, your offspring would still be able to live comfortably for generations. It made you even more suspicious. You expected the worst. Her voice was soft and sultry when she spoke her vows. It was a trick. You knew it in your heart. Hours later, after the parties and congratulations, alone in the suite you share with your new bride, you have had enough of the reserve whiskey to take the edge off and are ready to see what she looks like. You cross the sitting room and knock on the door to her bedchamber. She tells you she is ready for you. You take a deep breath, let it out in a shoulder-slumping whoosh of air, and open the double doors to finally see your new wife face to face.
