Hey there Pursewarden. Just wanted to drop by to welcome you more officially than just a comment on a status. It's wonderful that you've roleplayed before, you'll fit right in! A major difference is having more time (and space) to reply, which is a great advantage over chat RPs other than the one you previously mentioned. I hope you find the site friendly and welcoming enough that you want to stay and make friends. It's certainly what we aim for. Those are certainly varied interests, that incidentally I share. I read and watch so much, but my "To Do" list of anime and manga is so crazy right now. There's also no reason to worry about being wordy. A lot of the time, you'll be able to find an RP partner who actually prefers that, and again, in post by post roleplaying, there's usually a lot more room to type out a lot, and since it's not as fast paced as a chatroom, you also have the time to do so. Also, while I'm addressing this point, I must say I love this: I'm looking forward to seeing you around on the forums, and as I said previously, I sincerely hope you enjoy your stay here. Perfectly accurate. Parts, labour, tax. On top of this, I often find that cheap (ex: Store/Budget Brands) are just as good, and in some cases better, than name brands. Not all the time, of course; nothing quite beats a glass of real (but unspecified) name brand cola...

Never even really watched it. Seen enough to know I don't really care about watching more, though. I think it depends on what you're paying, for what kind of content. For example: if they released a half finished game at full price, then charged you full price again for the rest of the game as DLC, that would be unacceptable to me. But if it's quite a cheap game (and/or cheap DLC), and it's a good game, I don't mind getting DLC to (further) support the developer. Brand names (big name brands) don't automatically make things good (or better) in any context, and simply serve to increase the price of goods. Example: "It doesn't matter what name/logo is on your trainers(/sneakers). They're ugly, and you paid too much for them..."

I'm not entirely sure. Within the last fortnight, I think? I don't like getting real haircuts (if I can't put it up in a ponytail, it's too short), but I got my sister to give it a little bit of a trim. When was the last time you had a fizzy drink(/carbonated beverage/soda/pop/whatever it's called where you live)?

Ugh. I know, right? And to stay on topic, something that grinds my gears is the TV License in the UK. You basically pay the British Broadcasting Corporation so you can watch all the other channels. Even if you never watch BBC. Currently, the law states that if you watch programmes as broadcast (live/on TV, or online at the same time that they're airing), you have to pay the License fee. To put it into numbers, it's £145.50 if you pay for the full year in one go, £144 a year if you pay monthly, or £153 a year if you pay quarterly. Just to watch TV. Which you can do online.
