Fucking hell, that's a massive dick move. I feel like something should have been done about this, regardless of certain laws, due to the circumstance. I think medical marijuana is legal with a license (as of late 2017)? And guns are also legal depending on where and how you're carrying and using them? I'm not completely familiar with the law in my own country, let alone yours, especially considering various States have different laws... But in the case of someone who is clearly not entirely stable... Well, I don't want to sound judgemental or rude, so I won't comment too harshly on your family, but they definitely should have at least looked into it. 1 - That's kind of a dumb place to keep them to start with, to be totally honest. 2 - The 'stick part' is the pestle, the bowl is the mortar. xD 3 - I think offering to purchase a replacement, as well as actually looking for/finding the same/a similar thing is a really decent thing to do; on the other side of it, it's entirely possible that it was irreplaceable for sentimental/personal reasons? I don't know the story of it, but if it were that valuable to him, again, the bathroom is a pretty stupid place to keep it... At least you tried. I hope whatever you ordered there accidentally wasn't anything too important/valuable. With individual 'notes' out of the way: I can understand not wanting to return somewhere with negative experiences associated with it; it can be hard to get past things like that, especially when it involves fearing for your life or that of family. That goes double for when it's at the hands of another member of the family, given that family are supposed to be people you're supposed to be/feel safe with. Truly, I hope your cousin gets the help he seems to need... And I also hope I didn't come across as too dick-ish at any point...
