Summary: Viscy is a baby octopus that was rescued by Aurora while he hiding in a thermal vent after escaping from a predator. Ever since being rescued, he's clung carefully to Aurora at all times and sees her as his mother. He usually clings to her shoulder, but sometimes hides in her hair when he doesn't want to be seen. He cannot survive on land for more than a few minutes. So any time she goes on land, she has to find a hiding place where he can stay safe while she's gone. Additionally, he cannot survive in freshwater and must be left in a body of salt water.

He can be really timid and will almost always hide in the presence of others unless coaxed by Aurora herself. If in danger, he will defend himself by squirting ink and scurrying to a new hiding place. This can even come to Aurora's aid if she is in danger as well by giving her a chance to flee from potential predators. 

Aurora considers Viscy to be her closest friend and the feelings are returned. One with romantic interest in Aurora may even find Viscy to get a little jealous of his stolen attention.
