Okay, so it looks like the list of interested players is: @SataiRolePlayingGuy @MagnificentBastard @WickedCadrach @DreamsnThings @AsBloodTurnsEverCold @Chiyako @StarlitSiren @WritesNaughtyStories @Warning So we can split that into either 2 games of 4 and 5 players, or 3 games of 3 players each. HOWEVER WE SPLIT IT, they will all be in the same world, and all in the American west so that if we end up with drop outs we can merge groups. Or so we can do fun crossover/team-ups later, if we decide to. My request to everyone: Message me privately if there's anyone you REALLY want in your6 points

Hello and welcome to my little piece of the internet, it isn’t much but it is a place that I find comforting and it is mine lol. I appreciate you taking the time to check out my profile and even more that you have gone the extra step to click on a link and come here. You are amazing, you are a king, a queen, a lovely beautiful unique soul and I am blessed just by having you visit my little home. I hope that you take the time to get to know me because I will definitely give you the same courtesy. Before we get to the formal stuff, there is something that I need to tell you. I am not like most of the people you have written with. I am not6 points

The setting references I originally posted include a historic timeframe as well as real-life and fictional material that is more or less based on our real world and thus, very human-centric. I don't see fantasy species existing in this setting, but an automaton, or possibly something supernatural-ish, given the weird west / mad scientist vibe. I would expect from the initial proposed setup something more along the lines of a Frankenstein's Monster, Jekyll/Hyde, Dr. Moreau's creations, etc. over vampires, werewolves, etc. More science gone awry than actual supernatural species. That being said, I could see room for some magical beings like ski5 points

If I had to rank the settings from most desired to least I'd be interested in (including some surface level thoughts on each) it would probably be: 1. The Town’s Defenders – they all live in a strange frontier boomtown (part steampunk, part mining camp, part trading post/railroad stop/hub), and are forced to band together when trouble strikes. - Kind of gives off Seven Samurai sort of vibes, which I am all for. Gives us antagonists and a reason to stick together, regardless of whether or not we start off friendly. Also, depending on how many are newcomers, it allows for a variety of starting relations (or lack thereof). While stuck in5 points

My ex introduced me to porn years ago and ever since then I've just been watching more and more. It started out with just me occasionally jerking him off or giving him blowjobs to lesbian videos, but then after a few months we'd always have something playing on the tv while we had sex. He was interested in new things and he really introduced me to a lot of stuff. I could feel both of us getting sluttier as time went on. Eventually we broke up, but I still watched porn occasionally. I really like bondage stuff and imagining myself in gangbangs. Slowly I began to watch more and more, and dirtier things too. I usually either lay in be5 points

Hello, my name is Lunaria. I am a returning veteran roleplayer. Now I have never had an Ecchidreams account before so please allow me time to learn. I will also be on quite infrequently, so please be patient, I live quite the busy life. Now a little about my prefrences. I will only play as my characters, I have a few to choose from, but I will not play characters I do not own. I will try most things atleast once. I perfer to roleplay with as a sub, but I am a switch. I will not do Daiper play or any such watersports, so please do not approch with that. My Primairy Character Lunaria is a lynx, I have meny versions5 points

My favorite game system is Cortex, or more specifically, the Cortex Drama system originally developed for the Smallville RPG, improved with suggestions in the Cortex Hacker's Guide, and then brought all together in the latest version of the system, Cortex Prime. I'm considering running a dramatic game centered around a small group of PCs and their connected NPCs set in an 1880s wild west / steampunk / weird science world. Imagine someone combined the works of Jules Verne, Mary Shelley, Edgar Allen Poe, HP Lovecraft, and HG Wells, added in a dash of Nikola Tesla, a pinch of Indiana Jones (without the Crystal Skull nonsense), mixed in Bill4 points

Distinction: Disciple of the Scarlet Path You follow the forbidden teachings of esoteric masters, alchemy of the body, sorcery of the flesh. Desire is your medium, ecstasy your fuel. In ritual or passion, you channel occult forces through the mingling of breath, touch, and will. But indulgence is a dangerous path: every spell leaves you hungrier, every ritual risks binding you as much as your target. Possible SFX SFX: Ecstatic Power Spend 1 PP to Step Up a die when casting a spell fueled by intimacy, temptation, or seduction. If you fail, Step Up your Stress. SFX: Shared Ecstasy Spend 1 PP to create an Asset on a4 points

@DreamsnThings - That would play well with the "aroused" and "orgasmic" stress tracks. I like making the sexual aspect grant mechanical benefits as well. I'm thinking if we want to focus on the lewd aspect, we could all have an "Erotic Distinction1" to which we could attach various SFX2. Distinction: Pheromonal Alchemist You are a scientist of scents, a chemist of desire, bending biology and chemistry into invisible weapons. Your steampunk vials, atomizers, and tinctures turn pheromones into tools of persuasion, distraction, and control. But the volatile nature of your work means sometimes the reaction is stronger than intended — in4 points

ok, with all this in mind i think im going to go for some degree of a "scrap tech gunner" someone who has a ramshackled version of a steampunk esk gun they have tinkered with explosive results!... litterally... sometimes it works really well, others it backfires horribly and might actively blow up in their face... the specifics ill leave till the specifics of the setting is defined, but a sheriff seems fun for a wild west esk setting4 points

a quick question, as far as character creation goes are we limited to humans of some variety? or can we use something like goblins, elves, steam punk golems, etc? currently i have a few character ideas but Im holding off on making any concrete choices till i have a concrete location or setting to work off of, currently im leaning towards being the former sherif of a town that was wiped out well she was investigating4 points
-
The two groups is probably better, especially if it can balance everyone’s private requests. Though I would not rule out the 3 groups idea. As for the ideas, I think 4, 5 & 7 would be my favorites, though like I said, I would be up for the others too.4 points
-
We still splitting people into two games, or now now having one bigger group (don't know how practical that is, but if it works, it works)? I like all of them. After a little thought I may try to pick a few I like the most, a little later.4 points
-
3, 5, 8, 2, 4 would be my top five in that order. I'm still very interested in playing. Just haven't been feeling well for a few days. I'll be on to read the examples as soon as I can.4 points
-
I would caution using pre-existing characters. While we go through Pathways, other players have a bit of leeway over connecting your character to locations, items, NPCs, etc or connecting them to you. So too detailed of an existing character might be problematic, but just general concepts might work, as long as you don't mind adapting it to the world/game we create. Oh, and I have no idea what the max is. I'm going to give it a few more days to make sure anyone interested has a chance, then we'll see what shakes out.4 points
-
Based on the 3-5 Isabella originally suggested, I think we are getting around the max for 2 games, but maybe a little more. See what she thinks. Will have to see too if everyone is still committed by the time all the information is given and set up is done, then figure out how to split people up (I have several people I would like to be with, but that is something for Isabella and the group to figure out).4 points
-
So how many max people can join? I still have that spiritist character I wanted to use somewhere and it seems like the old board game attempt I tried to do didn't go further than just a few posts. As I mentioned in another club I think, I'd still be interested to see how and where this is going for the sake of the experience, I suppose? Plus Spiritist. She's anxiously waiting for a spot.4 points

Name: Millicent 'Millie' Gearhart Age: 22 Sexuality: Repressed (Bisexual) Bio: Millicent knows machines, even if she doesn't know people. Socially awkward, tactless, kind of endearing if you can handle her latest hyper fixations, Miss 'Gearhart' comes from the fringe, grew up taking apart clockwork mechanisms and- as a woman grown- is one of the finest inventors and tinkerers outside of the Big-name professors. She's creative, quick to invent something overly complex for a simple problem, and will talk your ear off for HOURS if you don't stop her. Millie never made it as a b3 points

I completely understand, sharing something so personal and intimate can be overwhelming. But if you are with the right people it can be a lot of fun. One thing I would suggest, (for everyone really), is to define your characters limits in its sheet/post. People can always refer to that when they interact with you.3 points

It's mostly the same thing as a one-on-one RP. Just there are more people to get inspired by. If you look through any of the games in this club, you'll find this corner of the community is extremely supportive and excited by what everyone else contributes.3 points

Sent a character premise for Isabella to look over. I'm excited about this! (If a bit nervous to be doing a group rp!)3 points

As lewd as you like. I’m 100% behind rampant sexual antics when I run games.3 points

ah, i probably should have checked, on a scale of 1 to 10 how lewd oriented can/should we design our character concepts? @MagnificentBastard's concepts made me realize I could take things a few steps further if it works for the setting3 points

I am a okay with playing Dom or Sub, but I have a bit of a preference for Sub. I mainly play as female or futa characters, but playing male is always on the table! I love butt stuff and anal focus, if it isn’t too obvious haha I consider “Will” to be things I’m more excited to roleplay, and “May” as things less so, but perfectly fine with. Some weirder kinks that weren’t listed that I’m a big fan of are: Excessive Cum, Cuminflation, Vore (Soft and Hard), Musk, Farting, Transformation, Size Difference Feel free to ask if you have any prompt ideas!3 points

well last I heard the "setting" is going to be some flavor of weird west steampunk (assuming im not getting wires crossed) so i have been trying to use that as a baseline for ideas, but having a solid... connection point with the group will help...3 points

1, 2, 4,5, 9 all give me fun vibes (though to clarify I'd still likely enjoy any of them)3 points

Do you want us to vote? I would prefer 2, 4, 7 or 10. I would like us all be able to travel, I dont think our characters should have any sort of prestablished relationship until we use the Pathways system.3 points

I've been thinking about what would keep all the character's together, a sort of group framing device. In a supers game it would be easy - you're all on the same team. In a sci-fi game, you're all the crew of the same ship. Or you're all members of the same criminal gang, or the same strike force, or... well, you get the idea. I want the players to decide together... but I decided to spew out some ideas, in case people are wondering, "how can we all be linked together?" So without further ado, another list. Ideas for ways to keep the Player Characters together The Town’s Defenders – they all live in a strange frontier3 points

I can provide a sort of tropey character list for the genres. Keep in mind, this list is not exhaustive. A mashup of two or more is always fun, too. Also keep in mind this isn't a traditional d20 tracking hit points fighting things trying to survive kind of game. A schoolmarm is just as valid as a Sky Pirate, and will have just as much mechanical impact on the story. Steampunk Character Tropes the Mad Scientist/Inventor, often eccentric and responsible for technological breakthroughs the Gentleman/Lady Adventurer, bored with society and eager to explore the Sky Pirate, a roguish individual who travels the skies3 points

i'd like to pull myself out of the game, i already started a diffrent game with some diffrent people and i don't want to enivtable overwhelm myself by taking on more games then i can handle long term.3 points
-
I might do a degree of that. But it will also at least somewhat depend on who I’m playing with and what they do (especially whether it is a man or woman. I’m open to playing both, but it could be influenced by who I am with and their characters).3 points

By all means, come up with a concept that fits the original short description. Just keep it vague and... concept-y. You could end up connected to a weird organization, or your father could be the big bad guy, or it might work out that another PC fits as your sibling... The best thing to do for this is to embrace the #1 improv rule: "Yes, and..." meaning when someone says, "what if your character is my characters' brother?", instead of saying, "nah," try saying, "Yes, and... our father is the maniac turning people into zombies!" or something like that. "Yes, and..." is super powerful for improv, makes everyone's contributions integral parts of3 points

Am I understandimg correctly will Miro handle the rolling too? If not how are we handling it?3 points

For the map itself, I'll be using Miro. It functions as a collaborative whiteboard and I find the tools to be quite easy to use. I setup a basic template for new Cortex games and used it to create the first EcchiCortex game on Miro. The link to the board for this game is below. You don't have to know/learn how to use it. I can add to it for everyone, or you can mess around with it and do it yourself. Just don't mess with my template https://miro.com/welcomeonboard/Nk01YWtwTXhmdnFodEk1Rlo4YnVlVjJhdlNzdmhTSUxHbzlvL0xHRTFOVGIvTHBkdzdVRjZZaksxWWhKa2JIYTlDQk1lNnh0NUhkZXZYbzNndWk0SVRNYlQ1bE55Z0NwdW1pSnhFSDNFQ1lRaFhJSlZJd2duRkgwOUUwaElEK3 points

I’ve been skimming this a little, especially after seeing the 2 game thing and everyone possibly being included. Have liked what I saw so far. Though should take some more time to completely read it, after work tonight, maybe a little during work, if it is light enough. Though yeah, interested to see the difference of exactly how this is played out compared to the sort of stuff I usually do.3 points

From a technical standpoint, while I love the idea of pathways, relationship maps and interactive history tools, how are we bringing that to bear in a play by post environment? There's been at least one Microscope game started here, but the nightmare of compiling each turn and formatting it kind of killed it. And relationship maps fit text formatting far worse. This could be handled easily with a VTT, but that forces a synchronous game3 points

All right @IsabellaRose, I confess being really excited by this idea, especially since I want to see Prudence, Winona and the Daughters of the Unbound.3 points

I grew up in a little farming town. The problem with farming towns is that there aren't many jobs for women. The men work the hard jobs on the farm and the only jobs for women are things like being a waitress at the local diner. After high school that's what I did. My family definitely didn't have enough money for me to leave for college, so I became a waitress at 18 years old. The money was good, and the old farmers seemed to love giving big tips to their busty little 5'5" waitress. Of course, I knew the deal and I always wore low cut tops and made sure to flirt. Sure, occasionally a guy would grope my ass as I walked by but it was ne3 points

yea i noticed that, i think it makes it less restraining that way...i think i more or less got the gist of it. i just hope the "explore the rules" section will be enough and i won't need to buy the actual book. i do like how more stripped and simpler it is, also how it didn't do the whole drama kid thing where the introduction goes on for pages like it was some school seminar instead of just getting to the point of how to actually play the game as they usually do with rhetorical questions and such. so i definitly think i would like to play this3 points

I was one of at least a few people who showed a degree of interest in the general OOC (not sure how many of them will see this), if some of the others do show interest here (people I have enjoyed other non-TT RPs with in the past, along with the chance to maybe do something with you again), I would put myself in the maybe category. I would put that as a maybe, though, with what I said over there. 1. Again, I have no experience actually playing anything like this. Let you judge how much of that is an issue, and how easy it would be for someone like me to be involved. 2. I'm been working myself out of a slow writing phase. I'm fin3 points
