An idea I've had that requires so much explanation I decided to make it into it's own post instead of adding it to my usual AD. Btw; The pic below was the inspiration for this whole idea, that might help you visualize what I'm looking for.(bonus points if you'll play her in the RP)
I'm looking to start up a MasterxPet with an idea that MC is a type of crime-boss, be it mafia, thief guild leader, or space pirate depending on the setting and YC being their loyal and loving pet. But that's not why I've made a separate post for this idea, the reason i made this it's own thing is because my idea of MxP is very specific and sometimes I see people treat masterxpet and masterxslave as the same thing. There's no easy way of explaining it so I'm just going to go point by point with comparing and contrasting the two to help you understand what I'm looking for. If it comes across as overly serious or demanding don't let that give you the wrong idea about me, I'm pretty laid back ooc, I just wanted to make sure you get the right vibe I'm looking for in terms of the style of RP I want.
The differences:
The Master:
MxS:
In a master x slave RP the master is the owner, the one who gives the slave purpose and reason to be, whether the slave is willing or not. They care little for the slaves feelings or well being. The slave is a tool, an object, not even worthy to be called a living being by their master. Their will is law to the slave, refusal is met with strict punishment, success is hardly ever praised without being tied with an insult. Most of the actions a master makes are made in the name of self benefit or pleasure, using and abusing their slave however they please with the only needed reason being because they can and want to.
MxP:
In a master x pet RP the master is the owner of the pet only in title, to denote who stands where in the relationship. A Master cares for his pet, sometimes deeply and even romantically. Their pet is seen as a living breathing person rather than an object or tool, their feelings and well being matter just as much their own. The Master takes care of and pampers the Pet with all his power and influence, making sure the Pet wants for nothing and is able to live a life of bliss and pleasure that never ends. They command their pet in ways that they think will benefit them and never in ways that will cause them harm, and obedience is always praised and rewarded. If a Pet does something wrong they are given a punishment befitting the severity of their failure. Even so abuse and punishment is never given out without proper reason and it is almost never server in nature.
The Slave/Pet:
Slave:
A slave is a person that in the eyes of others is seen as a thing less than human. They are an object, a tool, or a toy at best. The only reason for their existence is for something their body can provide, be it labor, sex, or even breeding to create more slaves. Their feelings, their will, and well being mean nothing and are completely disregard. Be it by force or their own will they do as their masters command even should they not want to. They are powerless in the relationship, merely existing for their master to use and abuse as he pleases. They are not allowed to act without their master's word and are often punished for thinking otherwise.
Pet:
A pet is a person who willing offers themselves entirely to their master, both in body and mind. Unlike a slave who is seen as an object, a pet is a person who has all their normal rights, but willingly gives them up exclusively for their master. To them their master is a person deserving of their reverence and worship almost as if they were a divine being. Everything and anything they do is to please their master and they do it of their own free will. Their master's happiness is their happiness, their pleasure is her pleasure. When their master tells them to do something, they don't question it and simply obey, putting full trust that their master's decisions are for the best. While a slave never acts without a master's command, a pet actively seeks out ways to please their master without being told to. They are not powerless in their relationship, bringing their master pleasure and joy are well within her reach and the master is worth pleasing for hours on end.
Sex:
MxS:
Sex between MxS is almost always forceful, the Master using the Slave to get themselves off and them only. Whether the Slave is willing or even derives any pleasure from sex is irrelevant, only the Master's pleasure matters. To a slave sex is something to endure and suffer through.
MxP:
Sex between MxP is never forceful, the consent of both the master and pet are essential to their dynamic. Unlike MxS a pet is more often than not the initiator of sex, in hopes of pleasing their master. To bring him pleasure and to be praised for it, and in turn the Master makes the pet feel pleasure equal to or greater than he is given. To a pet, sex is something to look forward to or actively seek out.
Multiple partners:
MxS:
A slave may be used by just about anyone or anything that their master wills and likewise the Master may have several slaves which he freely switches between.
MxP:
A pet never has more than her master, she belongs to him and him alone and doesn't offer herself to anyone else even should the master command for it. Meanwhile a master can have multiple pets but that is the exception, not the norm.
Pregnancy:
MxS:
A Slave ending up pregnant is more common then not, often being denied birth control, a master refusing to use protection, and sex being a near daily occurrence will lead to such things.
MxP:
A Pet ending up pregnant is very rare and usually accidental. Pet's are put on the strongest birth control their master can get, and when that's not an option the master opts to using protection. Should either one want to have children with the other, both members must consent to the idea first.
Sexual Worshiping:
MxS:
A Slave is often forced to worship their master in forms of humiliation and subjugation. Demoralizing the slave and making her stroke the ego of her master.
MxP:
A Pet willingly worships their master as if it is a great privilege and honor to be allowed to do so. Almost all a pet's free time is spent worshiping/servicing their master in hopes of praise and affection, or simply for the fact that it makes their master happy and they like doing it.
Shame:
MxS:
A slave still feels shame and embarrassment and often master's abuse that fact to demoralize and humiliate their slave into being more obedient.
MxP:
A pet has no sense of shame or embarrassment. The thoughts of others means nothing to them, their master and their master alone is the only opinion that matters to them.
Teasing/Playfulness:
MxS:
A Slave can attempt to be teasing and playful with their master, but the successfulness of it will vary based on the master. Some will play along, while other would scold and punish the slave for such behavior.
MxP:
A Pet can be as playful and teasing as she wants with her master, more often then not as a way to earn their master attention or affection. While again, how effective it is varies from master to master, it is almost never met with punishment. At worst it is just shooed away should the master not be in the mood.
Begging/Requests:
MxS:
A slave is often forced to beg as a form of humiliation, as the master commands them to beg for things they don't want. And almost any request they make is laughed off and disregarded or worse, is granted with a twisted spin their masters put on it.
MxP:
A Pet can request for just about anything of their masters. Be it for sex, for a new outfit, or anything else they want, and their master listens and considers the requests very seriously. Begging meanwhile is akin to dirty talk, something the pet will do if she knows her master gets off to it.
These are all the major points that stand out to me as key differences that I felt deserved to have attention drawn to them. I'm sure there's more but they can be discussed one on one if you want to actually RP with me after reading all that.
