Title: Hoardless
—I've had this idea in my head that finally I decided to throw this out there, and see what happens.
What I'm looking for is a female character. Either an experiences Adventurer, somewhat new one, or anything in-between. Heck suprise me if you have a better role.
This story will have sexual content in it; though I dont have an idea of what yet so it can be discussed.
I will say as serious as the story below there is more fun moments, some turns, and adventure.
The records are fragmented, the parchments eaten by time and damp, leaving only a skeletal ghost of a story. There is no name for the man who stood against the tide; he is a nameless figure in scorched armor, a shadow in the few surviving songs. He fought upon a peak of obsidian, facing a calamity of iridescent scales and molten gold eyes under a sky choked by sulfuric haze. The texts are gap-toothed, missing the most violent clashes, but they preserve one truth: the beast was too vast to be slain.
To kill the dragon would have been to ignite the world, turning the horizon into a funeral pyre. In a moment of desperate clarity, the nameless hero sought containment over slaughter. He thrust a blade of star-iron into the creature's core, not to pierce the heart, but to anchor the soul. In a flash of blinding light and a thunderous crack, the dragon’s primordial fire was compressed, sucked into the metal until the sword pulsed with a slow, rhythmic amber glow—the heartbeat of a trapped god.
There are no chronicles of a triumphant return. The hero vanished from the annals of history, carrying a weapon that had become a cage. He traveled to the deepest reaches of the Sunless Sea, where he laid the blade upon an altar of cold stone and buried the entrance beneath a million tons of granite. He ensured that no map was drawn and no secret was whispered, choosing to let his own legacy rot in the dark so that the seal would remain undisturbed.
Now, the man is forgotten and the dragon is a myth. Deep beneath the earth, the star-iron still pulses, a faint, rhythmic thrumming in the silence, where a calamity dreams of fire and waits for a hand foolish enough to find it.
