The Awakening

It happened nearly overnight, a fourth of the world’s population had spontaneously developed supernatural abilities, was it some kind of evolutionary jump? Divine blessings? 

They had been called ‘The Awakened’ by some and things like ‘Conduits’ by fewer.

The governments of the world wanted to study them, rounding them up into facilities while they still didn’t know how to control their powers.
13 years had passed since The Awakened were captured, very few of them evading the government, with more being discovered daily.
