About This Club

Of Blighted Moons is a Vampire/Werewolf set in modern day Montana, in the city of Pine Heath. . Pine Heath has been around since the first settlers of the state, however predating them are the mysterious Blackthorne Family who live just East of the city. Secretly, the Blackthorne's are an old coven of vampires dating back to the Roman era. Similarly, West of Pine Heath is the Half Moon Reserve where the Midnight Wolf Pack live, finding freedom in the thick and wilds of Montana itself since just after the founding of Pine Heath. Both factions have found themselves at odds with each other, however they also abide by the laws of the land as to not bring attention to themselves from civilians and potential outside enemies.

Roleplay Club
  1. What's new in this club
  2. I suppose getting out would help. Probably an outdoor mall sounds good enough to me, now is this in regards Austin or Kabiki? Wanted to ask, I'm powering off of the last braincell I have, so just wanted that clarification
  3. Sorry, I disappeared as well. Not my intention. What about a diner space? Or a sort of outdoor mall with the old shops on Main?
  4. Pat tossed the stub of his cigar to his side . He listened intently to the pair as they speak. He stood up from his log curiosity getting the better of him. They smelled off to him and it was late to be hunting. Reaching into his pocket for his second cigar he followed them straight to the river staying close to foliage as to not be seen Well almost he partly didn't care if they saw him it was his night to relax. He looked at his surroundings a simple Montana. He once fought a man from Montana musket ball split his head open. Still the names he was hearing was new apparently some newcomers to town, perhaps he should scout out their property later introduce himself. It was after all polite to introduce on self to new neighbors. Pat leaned on a tree as he listened to their story about a predator getting his comeuppance reaching for his matchbook. Striking the match he puffed on his cigar lightly singing " hurrah for the Bonnie blue flag that bears a single star" under his breath.
  5. I suppose I'm back. Will get those characters done up, beyond that, I've got Austin (Alpha/Midnight) and Kabiki (Blackthorne). I know there's one of y'all with a little shop I intend to get involved with here soon, but if y'all got ideas, suggestions, or plot points you'd want to visit, lemme know. I'm your huckleberry.
  6. "If you say so... She just turned eighteen didn't she? How uhh... You know if she's available?" One of the guys asked. "Ain't worth it," The other responded, "Besides if Eric gets back home soon, would you rather deal with his wrath, or the Old Man's? Never stick your dick in crazy, had an uncle who did that and he became a baby daddy to a psyche ward, whole god-damned family was nothing but drama." There was a pause and then the first man continued, "Fair point. Fair point. But still-" "She's bisexual, leaning more towards chicks if I remember right." As the men finished packing up their kill, rifles slung around their bodies, they would decide to leave the remains with a little bit of meat leftover onto it for the local wildlife. No need to get greedy. Once they packed their bags full of the packaged meat, the pair headed toward a river nearby, one taking a turn to wash their hands and arms whilst the other held the equipment. "Bro that's fucking lame! How come the chicks I like are either bi or gay?!" The same guy asking about Bella exclaimed. The other shrugged, finishing washing his hands, "Beats me, maybe it's a sign from God that you need one of them country gals. Shit, knowing your luck, might end up getting rejected by one that's lesbian." "Don't jinx it, dude, can't go online dating anymore after the whole stalker thing with Gerald." "Wait, you had that meathead stalk you?" The second man handed the equipment and bags over and started to make his way toward the river bank, "Yeah, how'd you not hear about that? Son of a bitch was cat fishing young men and was kidnapping them, sheriff found a lot of bodies buried in the guy's dad's farm. Guess I was the wrong and last one, busted through a window with a trench knife and I put a bird shot right into his face. Somehow survived, but that happened... What, three years ago? Kinda feel bad for Gerald's dad, man's nicer than most."
  7. Pat turned around his quiet evening seemingly at an end. He preferred to be alone, though perhaps his nose was failing him he should've smelt the fresh kill then again he is smoking a cigar.turning around even with the camouflage they were easy to see for him
  8. //Sorry for the wait boss, been busy with work.// In the distance there was some twig snapping. At first it could've been a branch falling from a tree however it happened several other times. And if one were to carefully listen, it sounded like footsteps somewhere behind one Pat. And soonafter, the sound of talking, quiet, but audible to the werewolf. "How you feel about Eric coming back?" A young male said, possibly no older than eighteen. A second male replied, "Not sure. I know Bella'll be happy, his old man? Don't know." Two young men were in the process of cleaning an elk they had hunted, already having it skinned and now they were carving out the meat and wrapping it all up in individual Ziploc and saran wrap. The second hunter was now starting beginning to make cuts around the rips, careful not to slice anything other than edible flesh. The pair had hunting shotguns and were dressed in hunting gear to help blend in with their surroundings, even going as far as to paint their faces in blacks, browns, and greens. "C'mon you were up the guy's ass the entire time he was here!" The first hunter said. "Dude that's because of his sister! She's scary as shit when you say no! Ain't trying to fuck with the consequences." The second replied and now stood up.
  9. Pat was a solitary man, in the decades he has been alive he has never re married not ever since the war. he chewed on his cigar sitting on a log staring out at the pasture. well as he sat at the edge of the woodland looking into the pasture. He both loved and hated the woods. loved for it was a solitary place for him to sit and ponder, loathe as it looks exactly like all of those battles he survived so long ago. The books talked of the big battles of regiments standing shoulder to shoulder, what they dont tell you is the brutal and bloody hand to hand combat that went through the forests and valleys, in fact most of the war was fought amongst the trees. this particular patch remind him of Shiloh. as angry as he was back then he never got used to Grant's tactic of throwing men at their lines. Of course it worked didn't it. of course something else was there weren't there.
  10. //WIP So Ecchi doesn't eat the post I'm making// Name: Samuel Breach Age: 147 Sex: Male Gender: Male Sexuality: Straight Rank: Omega Species: Timber Wolf Personality: Samuel is a reserved man who keeps to himself, quiet and really only speaks when spoken to. He simply watches and observes, making mental notes of who is decent and who isn't, having already known the townsfolk of Pine Heath for several decades now. He can be a bit of smart ass as well, having quips for when they're needed and not as well, he tends to speak his mind if he feels the need to. With owning the Crescent Breach Farms, Samuel tends to stick mostly to raising cattle and horses, he takes his ranching business seriously and hires/fires only of necessary. Despite being a Werewolf, Samuel rarely ever changes and is a stray compared to actual Omegas of a pack, preferring to stay that way Appearance Details: Other Details (Optional): Name: Belladonna Breach Age: 19 Sex: Female Gender: Female Sexuality: Bisexual (inexperienced) Rank: N/A Species: N/A Personality: Appearance Details: Other Details (Optional): Name: Eric Breach Age: 32 Sex: Male Gender: Male Sexuality: Straight Rank: N/A Species: Timber Wolf Personality: Appearance Details: Other Details (Optional):
  11. Sorry, hopefully none of that is too confusing. I will be running a plot where there'll be an investigation of a rumor of another pack that's moved in, it'll be a slow burn, but the same goes for Blackthorne and how a new coven has popped up. I think I'll also be (very slowly) working on a plot of Austin passing the torch of Alpha, given we don't have a whole lotta peeps on here quite yet, that too will be a slow burn. If you've got any plots for characters or anything else you wanna explore, give me a holler. That will be fine with Human NPCs if you'd like. Just don't go too crazy, I know I'll have some whipped up here pretty soon. That said, I'll have an interaction with your character here in a few days, I'm in the middle of my work week so it might take a good minute. Apologies for the wait.
  12. I'd be happy to help! It'll give me something to do in between moments I'm moving stuff over my extended weekend. Oh I missed there was another page - I thought owner might still need help making human npcs ^^;
  13. No totally take your time. I just want to make sure any character I make does your vision. So more details the better. When things calm down of course.
  14. Actually outside of the pack. Pretty much normal... Semi-normal people who just live around Pine Heath but do have awareness/some connection to the pack in one way or another. They aren't Omega's either, actual people that aren't aligned with Blackthorne or Midnight. They'll be posted in the "Outside and Human Characters" page I made, at least one I whip them up. I'll need a solid minute to get a good plot or two thought up, I'm.in the world week, so I'll be posting something in regards to that.
  15. So like normal family members in the pack? I just want to make sure I understand
  16. If you wanna help that'd be fine. I was planning of making some actual characters (not NPCs) that really weren't tied to any one group (so pretty much this thing called normalcy), but not a whole of thought comes to mind in regards to plot. I know the son would be coming home from the military (medical discharge) so there's that if that's anything to go off of. I know the two characters (or three) are a family of farmers, a father, son, and daughter, who are just living their lives in Pine Heath. And yes, they're one of the very few individuals who know about vamps and werewolves. It'll take me a minute to get them going but they'll be posted here soon(ish). Do you have any plots/characters you wanna explore?
  17. Do you need help making the characters? Are there specific story plots you want?
  18. Will actually be having some Human(ish) characters done up soon for characters outside the main factions. Might take me a day or two, busy weekend and heading into the work week.
  19. On the edge of town where business bleeds to suburb and further yet bleeds to stretch of road and farmland, a line building stands, three stories in the small-town, western European style that was common in Pine Hearth. New signs had been hung up and books and candles now filled the windows in sales displays. A tin Gothic-styled sign hung over the front door: Grimoires and Grim Wares. A sort of catchy, kitschy name for the new bookstore. It seemed to have popped up overnight, overtaking a building long empty and for sale. Inside, a cheerfully humming woman could be seen, combing through the hundreds of book spines on the shelves that covered the walls from floor to ceiling. Jenny rearranged books, took inventory, and scribbled notes as her bushy tail swished side to side comfortably. The vibe inside was immaculate; the center candle display towered on a tiered pyramid display table, mixing scents wafting throughout the open shop space and mingling with the faint mustiness of paper and ink. Low-light lamps stood in the corners, casting a warm, gentle light throughout the room to create a cozy atmosphere against the outside chill. Behind the register counter were a few shelves of priced odds and ends; metal charms, bracelets and necklaces, even small glass bottles claiming to be potions and salves of various kinds. A wooden door in the wall was clearly labeled "Employees Only", next to the staircase that led to the second floor. Jenny passed the entryway and paused to flip a switch on the wall to turn on the small neon "Open" sign in the front window to open up for the day before moving to settle behind the counter, opening up a black leather bound book to read.
  20. Name: Genevieve "Jenny" Bylilly Age: 21 Sex: Female - Occasional Hermaphrodite/"Full" Futanari Gender: Female Sexuality: Homosexual Rank: Omega Species: Red Fox Personality: Jenny is a cheerful, playful, and mischievous soul, reflecting her young age and lack of worldliness. The confident, friendly nature she maintains belies a deep insecurity and lack of personal attachment. The root of these distancing issues is anyone's best guess. Being from a deeply insular tribe of werebeasts from the southwest, she finds herself out of her depth in social situations since moving to Pine Heath. Her friendliness is easily matched by her wit, allowing her to adapt quickly to her surroundings and new communities. Having finally turned of age, Jenny sought to leave the confines of her tribe and find a new life elsewhere. Chasing stories in her old books and rumours of an old society of fellow werewolves here, she decided to open up a small bookshop and home made candle store in the foggy, sleepy town. Jenny spends her time otherwise studying ancient occultism and the physical magicks of the world. The young fox fashions herself as an herbalist witch, alchemist, and charm caster, studying what magic she can wield without the ability to channel magic innately as a lycanthrope. Being an outsider, she maintains neutrality between the rivalries of the local Vampire families and Werewolf packs, particularly so she can barter between them. Appearance Details: Jenny stands at an even 5'5", a grin usually seen on her face to light up sparkling amber-honey eyes. A mane of wild orange-red hair frames her face and falls down to the small of her back, contrasting against her darker, tan skin. Fuzzy fox ears and an enormously fluffy tox tail pokes from her head and spine. Whether Jenny is unable to revert these trace transformations, or simply chooses not to is hard to discern, as when asked, the girl tends to give different answers or brushes over it entirely. When transformed, Jenny shrinks down to a slightly smaller 5'0", losing size in favour of increased speed and dexterity. Her hair colour extends to her fur; becoming a lithe, fluffy fiery red fox with white tipping her ears and tail and striking down her underbelly. The fox's eyes turn into a striking emerald when changed. Jenny attempts to avoid fighting wherever possible, preferring to talk, barter, or even gamble before turning to blows. Of course, violence is an inevitability and the fox is no stranger to it. She fights with speed and divergent tactics - divide, distract, destroy. She prefers to toy with opponents, drawing their attention to anything but the task at hand to gain the upper edge in combat, and various potions and magical talismans can help tip the scale as well. Honor is not a concept Jenny is particularly concerned with, and will eagerly exploit weaknesses or dirty tactics if she must. Other Details (Optional): A genetic anomaly causes the occasional full-moon transformation to go a little further, forcing Jenny to become a hermaphrodite. This explosion of hormones and embarrassing additional physiology tends to cause her insecurities and other internal struggles to undermine her confidence. This transformation is guaranteed under unique moons, such as Blue, Blood, or Darkened Moons.
  21. Where residents of Pine Heath are placed, as well as outsiders of the factions let them be vampiric and werewolf. These are your player characters you make, which are regarded as outcasts, outsiders, and/or mundane civilians or even officials/law enforcement of Pine Heath.
  22. Other Species and Limitations Pt. 1 While yes, the main focus is of Werewolves and Vampires, we'll be talking about other creatures similar to either one starting with the Danger Furries. Primarily half of the club's theme is "Wolfish" but there have been other notable canine species to be classified as supernatural. These usually involve the more wild animals these creatures take after such as coyotes, dingos, foxes, African wild dogs, and thereof. However in Pine Heath most of these subcategories of "Were-" are vastly rare and again the Wolf species are dominant in the state and surrounding regions. With this established there'll be a limit to just how many of these alternate species will actually exist and no, we won't be doing "Weredeer" or "Weregeckos" and further on. In-game, these other species would usually be treated as (unwanted/suspicious) outcasts to the Midnight Pack, however the closer to the wolf breed, the better and slightly more trusting. And just like werewolves these creatures are unable to use actual magic given their powers will conflict with magic, thus alternatively the use of alchemy and spirit tuning are widely practiced only in secret AWAY from the general public. Having that capability can attract the wrong kind of attention both vampiric, Human, wolf, and those of other interests. What about creatures like Lycans and similar? Lycans are classified as a threat to most packs, while yes they can form their own packs these are more erratic creatures whose mindsets are based are consumption and killing vs. Werewolves who are more cognitive in memory, critical Human thinking and understanding, but are still prone to natural instincts and sometimes their own bloodlust when hunting. While some Lycans (usually older) have the ability for higher intelligence when transformed, they are very unpredictable; and can only change in brutal, painful fashion under a full moon. They are still affected by silver.
  23. Sorry I've been working, still got six hours to go. ________ Whelp, you've just given an excuse to expand on lore a little! Crossbreeds between Vampires and Werewolves are extremely rare, given they are two very different species (ie. trying to get a Pac-Man Frog and a Bearded Dragon to mate, if that makes sense.). While in history vampiric werewolves have existed it's very rare and has been avoided all across the board. There's not necessarily a benefit to there being a hybrid unless it was created in such a way that the weaknesses matched the strengths. Now in regards to were- creatures, the main theme is wolves, however I'm not entirely against other species. If you're wanting to gun for coyote, dog, or similar canine species go for it, however if you're wanting to create something from another animal (bats, lizards, etc.) I'll need to look it over first.
  24. Quick question! (if this is the right place for it...) I assume there's no way for Vampires and Weres to interbreed or mix-turn one another, right? I.E., a werewolf biting a Vampire to turn them mix-blood or vice versa? Additionally, are we limited to just were-wolves, or are other were-species up for consideration? Thanks!
  25. Got some posts in. One for the Midnight Pack in the Gym, and one for Blackthorne in the Medical Ward.
  26. Just another day... No one to really patch up. What a drag. Deep within the confines of the Blackthorne Estate was the Medical Ward, a small series of rooms dedicated for different purposes between an actual waiting and reception lounge, examination rooms, private consultation, laboratories, and thereof. It was well maintained much like the rest of the property inside and outside, during the night it was more lively due to the undead residents of Blackthorne but during the day? Quite the opposite. It was ironically dead. The only living beings in and out of the Ward offices were the Blackthorne staff who frequently cleaned and stocked supplies. Sanitation was an absolute necessity given all sorts of patients that the doctors and nurses, known as Corpse Sowers, had to check and help if needed. But that much wasn't necessarily true for the one Grave Warden, the head doctor of the establishment. Powerful, knowledgeable, meant to be wise medical practitioners, the Grave Warden was to take all things seriously but with a lighter and chipper tone. But that much wasn't necessarily true for the one Grave Warden. It was morning in the early weeks of March, much of the snow around the estate was still present as winter wasn't quite finished with Montana. Cleaners were currently vacuuming, dusting, and wiping down the halls and rooms whilst one individual was leaned back in an office chair, headset on and controller in hand, playing a game on a large flat screen television. On the screen was the first person point of view of the man running with a rifle, taking cover in a building, and after doing a quick sweep of the rooms he went prone just hallway out of a balcony door. The character on the game would aim often and alternate between that and checking other immediate surroundings. "Yeah... No yeah, D is covered. We still got it. I- Hold on... I've got a tank and a buggie headed towards my way, pinging them now." The man in the office said into his headset's microphone. Kabiki Nasago was the head doctor of the vampiric Blackthorne Coven. Under normal circumstances he should be resting like his other undead cohorts... If only the insomnia died with his first life. Instead of sleep he was playing video games, finding the inability to dream he'd pull a triple shift on purpose until it was time to throw in the towel. On a stable next to him was a plate of several quesadillas cut up with a large side of sour cream in a bowl. And the beverage? An open can of Dr. Pepper. There was glass with a light amount of blood next to the dishes. Many had found the good doctor lazy in that regard, using an inpatients' room as his own, but, who could stop him? The master of the coven didn't care too much and the Medical Ward was closed for the time being, so why not use it?
