Tales from the Dark
As you sit in your car, windows rolled down, you look over your date with a smile. They seem nervous, maybe they're not big on scary movies. Maybe the crowd gathered in their vehicles has them uneasy. Maybe it's something else...
You yelp with a start as something flops into your lap and look down to see a tattered old comic book titled "Tales from the Dark", the issue numbering unclear from the flaws in the print.
"Complimentary with admission.", Says the attendant who dropped it through your window in a dreary tone as they walked away to the next car, a stack of comics carelessly held in their arms.
The comic looks more than gently used, almost as though it was handed out in the past, thrown into the trash or left on the ground carelessly, and then picked up for reuse.
Inside were various short stories in something of an anthology...

An ear-splitting shriek cracks through the cold, foggy air, distracting me from my work on the damaged machinery before me, my eyes looking away for just a moment out of pure reaction only for a thunderous boom of sparks to burst in my face. This is a shameless rip-off from a story written by Georgie Porgie on the now defunct ASSTR website. I want to play an 8 to 12 year old girl My parents are divorced and it was not a nice divorce, in fact, it was very contentious.
