Anal plug questions

I've been doing some light anal play for a bit, but I've always bought the cheapest toys possible, and I'm wondering if there are any benefits to more expensive toys? The price differences are crazy - a "stainless steel" plug on Amazon can be had for as little as $6 (https://www.amazon.com/Romi-Stainless-Personal-Massager-Masturbation/dp/B0776TBP36/ref=zg_bs_17891898011_17?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=21X4EH46QA2WXND9GVVS), but on GoodVibes it's like $90 (https://www.goodvibes.com/s/sex-toys/p/GV40376/rosebud/rosebud-classic-anal-plugs?lref=Cat|catalog70002_gv006||8|c|4|-relevance|toy_category|0)

I'd like to try one made of a firmer material, as I think it'll make insertion easier. Does anyone have more experience with this?

The cheaper one is only "smooth" while the more expensive one is also non-porous. Personally, it's just preference at that point. The more expensive one will last long since its non-porous, but for temporary play, the cheaper one is your best bet.

I never played with butt toys, sadly. But based on the descriptions, it is entirely up to how much you plan on using it
