Nan-Yo Posted December 29, 2020 Posted December 29, 2020 (edited) Present: Uomizu Family: Family of demons and Demi-Gods centered around the fallen God Urbanus, his child Su-Chi (Hong) Uomizu, the fallen angel Hanako Uomizu and their children. They were responsible for ‘The Massacre’. Student Council: A group of Students who hold most of the power to run the school. The past ten years have been the years of their greatest power, but also the years that they have been pawns of the god Ryouseiku. They are granted special powers by Ryouseiku and generally expect to be treated as something beyond the average human by the general student body. Cult of Zorn: One of several independent Sorcerer Cults established thousands of years ago during the Sorcerer War fought during the Age of Zenis. The Cult of Zorn was the only cult to survive after the war; they have remained hidden until very recently when the Gods finally realized they were still active and strong. Muneria: A cult of demon hunters established by Heaven during the Age of Zenis. After the fall of Zenis they lost contact with the Gods and though they have become an independent organization they still continue their old mission and maintain their traditions as closely as possible. ‘Maxim’: This group doesn’t actually have a name, and in fact isn’t an organized group. It is led by the God Maxim, and as prominent members has Jumi Hanari, the heiress to one of the Four Divine Lines, the Avatar Dai Kuromori, their daughter (from the future) and Kazuki Akita. This is the group that represents the goals of the rest of the gods in Heaven. Necromancers: A form of magic users who can trace their origins back to the Sorcerer Cults, but their magic has become corrupted and specialized over time and is now focused on death, and the search for immortality. Past Groups: Sorcerer Cults: Several groups of Sorcerers who grew unhappy with the restrictions on magic use and research imposed by the gods. They left Zenis and infiltrated the independent nations of the outside world and have twisted them into their puppets. Once firmly entrenched they made war on Zenis, this starting the Sorcerer War. House of Kamun: The only family with true power within Zenis, the House of Kamun as well as many branch families established by more distant relatives make up the entire human aristocracy of Zenis. They have become corrupted through the wealth and power they were granted. The Gods have tried to keep an eye on them but the Sorcerer War has made it difficult recently. Religious Groups: Various religious groups that worshiped certain gods above the other ones. Here is a list of the known ones: Knights of Heaven (Augustin): the army of Zenis, consists of an extremely complex rank and formality structure. Maidens of Zenis (Aisuka): Only available to women (Human or Angel). They must swear a life of Virginity. They train to become housekeepers for wealthy families or the Gods. Such maidens often raise children in these families in place of the parents. Sorcerers of Zenis (Maxim): Only magic users in the kingdom other than the Gods. They devote their lives to experimentation and now aiding in the war against their rebel brothers and sisters. The Armenos Officer Corps (Cicero): Semi-independent of the Knights of Heaven, they tend to stay behind in Zenis to help plan strategy and train new soldiers. The Eye of Fate (Honorato): Oracles, and keepers of the Library of Zenis. Many records which tell the history and future of the world until the end of time are kept. They swear their lives not to speak of what are in these records without permission. Court of Zenis (Salmoneus): The Judges of Zenis. They judge all accused of committing a crime within Zenis or its colonies. There is no jury, and only Salmoneus or Augustin can overturn their decisions. Children of the Earth (Junae): Those who live mostly in the Forest of Draugorn and live a life as close to nature as possible. Only minimal rules of society are kept. The Sea-Walkers (Maura): they spend most of their lives on their ships. They are the ‘Navy’ of Zenis. They also supply and move people between Zenis and the Colonies. The Truemen (Ryouseiku): Philosophical society of Zenis. They always look for ways to improve life on Zenis. They are the ones who will speak to the Sorcerer Cults if an official message is to be sent to them. The Nameless Ones (Ambiguity): In conflict and sometimes in direct opposition of each other, the worshipers of Ambiguity consisted of either of a myriad of minor cults or a set of individuals. Known to infiltrate other religious groups they either sought to destroy them or to change them. Most records from that time agree on that they sought to bring down Zenis and that they were in open conflict with the Sorcerers but other sources suggest the opposite. Even the name itself was only something that they were given by other groups and not something they called themselves. Ambiguity herself was said to have referred to them by various ridiculous names if at all, but this has never been confirmed anywhere. The Silver Fist (Urbanus): An angel only Special Forces group also semi-independent of the Knights of Augustin. These Angels are taught a limited amount of magic by Maxim as well. The Keepers (Davos): watchers of the sun and stars. Also keep lit the magic sources that power many of the other objects throughout Zenis. Soul of Zenis (Estia): keepers of the Temples of Zenis, and judges of morality for those joining the Magic Academy, or Knights of Augustin. The Naturists (Pardus): manipulate the weather of Zenis. They work to keep the plants growing, and prevent severe weather. The Guild (Marcian): train those going into manufacturing; they keep the secrets of forging magic objects, especially weapons as well. ???? A Nameless Cult? (Nadina): a society of youth and rebellion, though not nearly as far as Ambiguities as it seems they at least actually had structure as well as ideals and goals. The things they did were the regular things a youth would do to rebel against society. (Any other groups from the past would be on the national level. See the Independent Nations file to see info on all nations other than Zenis.) Future Groups: The House of Uomizu: In the Empire of Pandemonium. It is a kingdom where humans are generally treated as trash, and fuel for their advanced technology which are powered of the energy of human souls. There are a few elite free humans loyal to Urbanus, but these are mostly survivors of the Necromancers and Sorcerers. It is a feudal society, Ryouseiku is the king, Former Student Council members of the past ten years, fallen angels and younger Godlings making up the nobility and regular humans being peasants. While they are based at Castle Ryouseiku, they spend much of their time on 'Crusades'. The Heaven Legion: Headed by Maxim and Kazuki acting in the name of the other Gods. Most of the heroes of the Ryouseiku struggle have ended up in this group. They try to pick up whatever humans they can as refugees, but mostly wander in search of battles they can win.
