Busterbugs Posted January 27, 2023 Author Posted January 27, 2023 (edited) The idea I had for Stats for member characters is one where each race starts out with a set number in 5 (more can be added) different Stats. Health Points(HP)-How much attack points they can take. Will recharge slowly over time or can be refilled by a potion or item. Mana Points(MP)-How many times they can use their Race’s unique abilities. Will recharge slowly over time or can be refilled with a potion or item. Armor Points(AP)-How many attack points a person can naturally absorb. Like if someone had 10 AP’s then a attack that does 9 damage will not hurt them at all, but one that does 11 damage will only take 1 HP away. Strength Class-This will measure how much weight a person can lift and how much extra attack points are added to a weapon’s physical attack. Need help making the classes. Inventory Slots-How many spaces of storage a member character has in their HUD Bracelet. The Base number is 10 but it can be increased by equipping a storage upgrade or some races have a perk that gives them more inventory space. (The HUD Bracelet is a idea I had for a device on each characters arm. It has a button for a character inventory, crafting menu and race skill tree. It also shows a characters HP,MP and three quick equip buttons for a characters main weapons or items) That is the basic overview I had and I would love to hear any ideas to add, flesh out and improve it. Race Buff Skill- A passive Skill that actives when a character is near a member of the same race. Passive-A passive skill that is unique to that race and is always active. Can be utility, physical or combat in nature. Like they can gather more plants from a single source, are immune to poison or can see in the dark. Basic Combat Skill-A Skill that uses MP and can give in character a edge in a fight Basic Combat Skill 2-A Secondary Combat Skill that uses MP. Ultimate Combat Skill- A more powerful Combat Skill that uses massive amounts of MP. That is the basic overview I had and I would love to hear any ideas to add, flesh out and improve it.
Busterbugs Posted February 21, 2023 Author Posted February 21, 2023 (edited) For a Crafting System I was thinking of doing a mix of Ark Survival Evolved and the Forest. Members start out as Level 1 and have assess to a row of simple Level 1 Crafting BluePrints through their HUD Bracelet. If they have the necessary materials in their inventory they can create it. As they level up they can create higher tier tools and gear, but will need to build a station, like a forge or alchemy table if they want to make some of the Highest Tier Items, Potions and Gear. For homes and buildings, I was thinking of doing it like in the game The Forest where members characters can place down a spectral outline of a home and can add the need resources to it build it. Busterbugs Posted March 6, 2023 Author Posted March 6, 2023 For the Leveling system, I think it should be simple, with each character starting out as Level 1. Each Time they defeat a enemy or gather a resource they gain a set number experience that goes to increasing their level. When they reach the next level, they gain access to new crafting recipes and for each 5 levels gained they get a 5-10 number boost to their Stats. That is the basic overview I had and I would love to hear any ideas to add, flesh out and improve it.
