Yeah, I was partially waiting to write more on setting stuff so Gard could catch up easier (plus just trying to think of things). See if he likes that, or had any ideas of his own to add. Will be interesting to see. I told him about it, but only mentioned the source of the idea, and there was a bit to read. Either way, like Ryoko’s home, it is just one aspect of the story I figure. Some characters can explore it, for those who think it sounds fun, otherwise they can ignore it. Not something that will dominate the story/setting. See if we add more ideas after he is back.

You can add as many as you think make sense for the Heritage. These would be abilities that are directly related to your "Vampire by Rumor and Science" Distinction. List anything you think is an ability and we'll make sure there are actual defined abilities fully statted out for them. I'd suggest basic vampire things: Superhuman Strength, Regeneration, Heightened Senses, Mesmerizing Gaze, Eerie Allure, Nocturnal Affinity. If you add a lot of connected abilities, I might suggest another limit like "Serum Dependence" where you can earn a plot point when the serum wears off and you deactivates your connected abilities. Alright I was a bit confused for a moment cause I already stepped the ability up but yeah forgot the rating (I had simply copy and pasted) so that should be fixed now. Also got rid of the resource.

A break on this side is good because the whole topic about Ar Tonelico was starting to go a lot more complicated than it should be. A step back to look at things might be good. If I keep Emiko, what we know so far is that she is, in a way, a computer program. A part of things wanted her as a weapon, another part, as a live experience. For abilities in the Heritage Distinction, how many should I start with? Just one? If I'm starting with just one I think I'd like her to start with some sort of abnormal levels of resistance or durability or a regenerative factor, something which explains her ability to continuinously experiment on herself without suffering long term effects. I'm guessing I just slot the ability into the Distinctions section and only add it to the Abilities section once it's truly unlocked?

@Chiyako, @AsBloodTurnsEverCold, and @MagnificentBastard all need to: add the die rating for their Distinctions, Abilities, and Resources. step up one of your relationships, distinctions, abilities, or resources. (now I'm going to do that thing that I hated in school, where the teacher shows off your work and all the other kids hate you) Take a look at the sheet for Missy. You don't have to use the same bullets or anything, but you want to list the die rating before the name of each Distinction, Ability, Resource, etc. The die rating is super important (the bigger the die, the better you'll roll). Oh, @AsBloodTurnsEverCold - you added Journalist Dan Worth, but you've already used your add from the map for Kirsa and your "Add a Distinction OR add a new Ability" (The Other Theory), and your "Add another Distinction or step up a Distinction" (Virtuoso). The last thing is to "Step Up" the die size of any existing Distinction, Ability, Resource, or Relationship. But you can't add another new one yet. You can keep Dan Worth in your back pocket and add him next time you get to add someone to the sheet. You need to step one of your things up to d6 since they all start at d4.

Yeah, it’s been quite quiet since I threw out the Ar Tonelico inspiration and the talk on that. Should pick up after Gard is back, he is looking forward to continuing here and elsewhere. The other current story may pick up too, once Dreams get going again.

I added the sex distinction. I believe that's all changes you suggested/required.

You’ll get more Distinctions and more opportunities to step them up as you step through Pathways. As an example, a fully fleshed out character in one of my other games has 4 Distinctions rated d4, d6, d6, and d8 and 3 Abilities rated d4, d4 and d8. You’ll be adding or stepping up multiple items in every step of the Pathways system. Keep the high society one for your origin and we can add sex magick and fencing later, no problem. How many Distinctions can I have? I think Family Name/Influence is a nice to have, but not vital, hence why i put it in resources. I feel my character needs the Sex Magick Distinction you showed me earlier, a general Charisma/Seducer/Manipulative Distinction and possible a combat one like Fencing Master. They are in order of importance. So if I only get one then I know what it will be. I have upped Power and lowered Glory, I removed the Signature Item and Influence.
