Hullo Everyone, It's been a really, really, REALLY, long time since I was last here...I feel pretty terrible for my sudden leave and so I'm hoping to return and for my good friends to forgive me. A little explanation of what has been happening with myself, since I went MIA from ED. Work became, still is at times, stressful with a new software programme being introduced and lucky for me I am one of a select few who will be over seeing it's implementation in my department, this means weekend work to try and find bugs with the programme and flag them up with the producers to get it sorted. The training has been utterly rubbish, Management haven't bothered to contact us to ask what we need or think, so as you can imagine with a go live date of March 1st the Managers are no shitting themselves and stressing out. Backlash on us poor sods though! There was the birth of my gorgeous baby nephew in November, he took a bit of a turn for the worst in December but then seemed to pull through and has since been a healthy baby, enjoying his days and being adorable at all times! During December my Dad's health took a turn for the worst also, this is still on going and very stressful for us all as he is the main bread winner for the family, we're hoping that he will hear the results of his tests soon. My own health and well being haven't been the best either, I guess my family has a bad track record of becoming ill, I took a depressive turn and almost lost the love of my life. I'm trying to fix things in my head, every fear I have at the moment seems rational to me but it really isn't, it's been difficult but it is worth it at the end of the day. So in shot 2014 better look up soon! I'm really looking forward to getting back into the RP side of things, I've missed it and everyone here so so much! I hope everyone can forgive me and I hope to be back here on ED soon. Serlina

Sorry in advance if I make no sense in the following. While your argument is valid that kind of thing happens daily, not only on the internet, but in books and newspapers as well. Taking credit for a piece of art that isn't yours has happened probably for as long as art has been around, the added effect of watermark I know may seem redundant and it possibly is. Your given the option here on ED, when uploading an image, to copy right it in a sense. Most of the images I have posted up I have put Serlina, keep in mind these are character images, now NeppyNepNep would tell you that I can't draw. I've told her this, I know this to be true in myself, however although I have not DRAWN the image I feel the image is mine as the image is being used to provide an image of what my character looks like. Now I 9/10 do not know who drew the image, I should begin to do background research on the images I use, when I copy right them I don't mean to insinuate that I drew the picture I mean to inform people that this image is being used by me to provide a more detailed image of the character. The reason I thought of watermarking being an idea for ED was because I don't HAVE a saved watermark, I don't LIKE putting watermarks on my work so why would I go out of my way to have one saved on my laptop? That's why I like the feature on DA it allows you to watermark an image if you so wish, giving you the freedom of not having duplicates of one piece of art on your machine, as I now have some duplicates on my machine from the wallpapers I put up. I can obviously delete these or move them. I'm pretty sure the above a) makes no sense what so ever and b) did not in any way/shape/form answer your valid reason. Apologies for that. -
So I was chatting to NeppyNepNep a couple of days ago when I was putting together my Creative thread with my signatures and wallpapers, it came to me that it would be so awesome if ED had an option where you could Watermark your work! You would be able to, as an example, tick a box to Watermark your image with your Username to prevent people out with ED stealing your image and using it as their own! I don't know if this is something that ED would want to do or could even make it happen but I just thought I would mention it, it was just a thought that came to me while I was working away with PS. :)

I rather like my Avatar and Signature set, I enjoy just making them really, I've got a folder full of them! :P

Thank you very much Neppy, I miss being here and RPing but had to grow up and start getting things in order. Hopefully will be able to post once my dress comes into the shop, I shouldn't have anything else to plan for once that's done! The only thing that would be getting in the way is silly games, writers block and work! Thank you Nyx :)

Hullo everyone I just noticed that I hadn't posted one of these! I'm Serlina and I've been around ED for quite awhile, I love the site and enjoy roleplaying with everyone here. I was a member of staff until work and life became too much and I had to step down, I would love to one day return to my post but at the moment my life is being taken over by wedding plans! I love making Signatures and Avatars, I've also taken up making my own backgrounds as just something to entertain myself. Thanks to my fiancé I've also been taken over by the gaming world and seem to spend most of my time either playing CoD, Saints Row 3 or now Dead Island! I'm not the best at games as I've never really played them but I'm learning and really enjoying myself, although I spend too much time in some games drooling over the hot guys! Anyway that was a quick run down about myself, if you have any questions I'd be happy to answer them! So to end this I shall say a big Hello to everyone here on ED! :)
