Warning

Among the beings in the fortress existed what could best be described as a purple anthropomorphic cat creature with light purple hair, sized comparably to a human child. Her existence or presence at the fortress would be not without thanks to the owner, serving as a familiar of some kind, wearing a unique set of clothes giving the aspect of a school uniform. While she was capable of walking, she also had the capability to float in the air with magic or even teleporting herself, being the good familiar that she was. Her other particularities, physical or magical, were not exactly known to many who were not concerned but she also was not a hidden being inside this place. Mao would be seen here and there depending on where she was needed or where she was sent for tasks. Mao was not exactly the most affectionate being toward everyone but it did not stop her from allowing others to pet her if they really insisted. As long as it did not impede any orders she was given to accomplish in what time limit she was given to do it. Otherwise, life for her was pretty calm as it was. It would happen at times that Mao would be one of the first sights that new arriving elves or else would see when they come but not always, depending on if she detected them or not, during a time that she was free although she was not the first one to meet Alenia the day she had arrived. She might still have met with her before during a time she wandered about. For the time being however, she was not anywhere to be seen in the fortress, or at least it appeared this way. As Alenia would show up at the study and knocked, Mao would show herself but not directly in front of her, appearing with her teleportation magic while her paws were above the ground, floating as usual. Surely that she was not very far inside the room to know that the girl was there but she remained clear from being in the way since the elf was addressing the mistress. Her request to learn new magic was daring and her bright yellow eyes observed Alenia with attention yet not interfering, keeping quiet for the moment as her tail swayed peacefully from a side to another. Mao might have been floating there in a darker side of the room but she was not trying to be creepy or anything. If anything, she was merely curious about the girl, her request and what Pelintira would say.

First character is a little complicated and nameless. She was admittedly a little rushed as well but then I thought about one I used before that would kinda fit the bill for a familiar or student or etc of the dark arts. One that is also named. (Mao) She is a catgirl of a rather small size. (I've read the main post as well before I thought about this since they are in a far location where they can do dark and forbidden magic. So I thought about... What if a reaper cat was part of the whole thing? It's at least a better idea than my first nameless. (I kept my best for you two. XD)

Well, consider it a success. I believe I even have seen this image before but regardless, she is very cute. Good job, Allie. Yes yes, she is indeed. It's cute and we can leave them to that. In my case, if I use "Blacky", she can be a kind of potion shop keeper. (That's the first idea that I had with her, based on the image.) And yes, I am still unsure about the name as her current "name" is her japanese name (Burakki). I'm not exactly original. Oh well.

Yeah, it's the middle ground between trying to search for a loli and an adult but neither of the two. Like just "young". Which is an existing tag but usually for a character that is "younger". The world of image searching is not without challenges. However, I think you've succeeded to find something nice. Imagine if we included Risha (or her mother). XD

Oh shoot, she looks like some JRPG character ready for some adventure. It's kinda nice. She has a nice style to her. That will be interesting.

Florence observed Archer doing his work for the time being. When she was brought the sandwich platers, she smiled as it looked pretty good for a simple snack. "Thank you, Mr. Reed. SRK, this is yours.", she said while offering a plate to the little catgirl, who picked the plate and seemed to analyze the food before she started eating it like anyone would. Meanwhile, the catgirl looked toward Archer. "It might be surprising for an avatar like us but we are still trying to learn from humans. Cleaning our frames are part of our requirements but ARA has tried a human method. As a result, she has introduced me to baths.", she explained. Though the story about soaps was not one of her proudest, it was still factual in her history. "Ingesting soap, as a possibility that it was food, has resulted into terrible consequences. This unit will spare you the details.". Florence thought about that but also Archer's story and she could only agree that it would not be worth the risk. Soap was toxic. The sudden question about if anthroids could be bored had left SRK in thoughts, or at least for a few seconds. As he precised his question however, she simply shook her head. "Both ARA and this avatar's tasks require us to be alert at all times, even as we do other activities. Thankfully, our memory capacities allow us to put our main tasks aside during times when they were not priorities." Florence listened well but what she was explaining made sense, in a way. These anthroids were made to work in a specific or special kind of manner. Even if they were gifted with an interesting AI. "I am curious about this as well... If you can be bored, I mean. We find normal to be bored when there's nothing to do...", she commented but when Archer finished his talk and even directed his question at her, she was left a little surprised and pondering about it. Being smart and a hard worker in engineering, she hardly could remember when and how often she had a time for herself to relax. SRK was the first one to speak. "Since Humans like to do activities to pass the time, we were brought to try the same. Even watching movies... The act of eating exploded seeds while watching a screen is one of the oddest activities of humans but their entertainment is without doubts real but it appears that it produces varying levels of results.", she said and Florence could only stare for a bit until she realized what she was talking about. It was fancy to see these anthroids try to understand human cultures. Still, looking at Archer, she had her own opinions about this. "To answer you... I guess I solved this issue with this little one and her other friend. But before that... I don't actually know. I try to keep myself busy. If I don't repair a broken part then I try to create new things. If I can get my hands on scraps for it. You know...? Make machineries or useful gadgets. I am so busy with engineering that I use engineering as a mean to not be bored. It... works, right?", she said then asked him.

I am still thinking about everything but yeah. I messed up a sentence of before, just meant that she isn't a loli like the other one. But yes, I know it's an Umbreon but if she is fine, she could be a fun character to join. Although the reason I also asked for a honest opinion is that I want to make sure to not mess anything that you may have intended to do. Or what world settings that is there for Vanoria. It would be easier to have a grasp on what things should be once some form of story has started as well. Trying to have THE perfect character for it.

Not guilty. I saw reptilian pets owned by neighbors and even touched one but never owned one. The next poster decorate too early for the next holiday(s).

My only issue or one of is that I don't really have any name for this character and I really hate finding names. Then I thought about a character that I found but she isn't exactly an adult. It's just really a suggestion but since we talked about dark and magicians, I saw a "possible" possibility named Blacky or Tsuki. But here it is down below. Give me your honest thought.

SRK seemed to be an odd fellow as specific rules determined her warnings but she didn't seem to hate the headpats anyhow, regardless of what she warned against. Florence looked at her, pondering. Perhaps that would be a way to get her used to it or ARA could help with her. And then there was the whole thing about keeping sensitive data hidden. What did SRK hide? Or what did ARA have in store? For now, the worries of Florence were elsewhere and SRK didn't make it too easy with her going along with Archer's goofing. At the same time, the softness of SRK was not really arguable. Her creator or even ARA's did not shy on make thing nice to hold onto or touch. And this was a thought she didn't want to get again. Was SRK's body really fully designed? Or ARA's. Blushing a bit, she shook her head to shake the naughty thoughts away. A part of her was sure that they were and she did not really think about checking. That would have to wait. Florence smiled to Archer for now. "I am pretty hungry so I would not mind a snack. Also no need for master of cuisine. Something edible is fine. But sure, let's pick a little something to eat before the big meal later.", she said with a smile, looking forward to eat. SRK seemed neutral about it, probably because she was not going to eat for the pleasure of eating but rather for energy collection. At least she did not look unhappy about it but she clearly was outside her usual element. It must have been nothing but the fact she woke up after so long, if the time gap even affected her. As the shortie was asked about her past, she actually looked like she was thinking about it, thankfully without screaming warning this time. "It is difficult for this unit to tell. ARA and I were two units aboard the K-ship and we were busy a lot. ARA... likes to take showers.", she said with a pause and wondered if they followed so far but soon continued. "She showed me how to take baths." Florence blinked, having more questions again. But at the same time, it also meant that these anthroids were not affected by water. A bath or a shower did sound nice, though. She did not get one yet that day. Too much work and the anthroids were required to be worked on again. A mistake she would correct later to make sure she doesn't gain unwanted scents. "So... Do you enjoy these showers or baths...?", she asked cautiously. SRK looked at them then seemed to think of her answer again as her eyes wandered before she nodded. "I think they are not bad. This fur must be kept clean and ARA had the best idea. This unit once ate soap however and I do not suggest for humans to do the same. The effect this avatar was not dramatic but it left me in a strange state for days.", she said, fully seriously but also looked annoyed by the memory. Florence could understand why she would try it, considering SRK's nature but she was right. Soap was toxic to them.

As soon as she was freed, SRK seemed to calm herself. Closing her eyes for a bit to regain composure, she was going to move on her own but felt the headpat which triggered a sort of alarm in her head as she turned to Archer. "WARNING! Refrain from headpatting this expensive avatar!". Florence just watched them, almost sighing by the interactions but said nothing about it this time. "Mr. Reed, we might not be too advanced but I think we're on a good step by having her awake. It does not mean that she will not remember much. Perhaps she is even restricted from telling her too much. At least this is how I think that it works." Florence then looked at the both of them, as he tried to explain his point on goofing. "I... don't think we should tell her that... Besides...", she started. SRK seemed to look at the both of them then at Archer. "Hard asses are not good. Thankfully, this is not a problem with our avatar. Both ARA and this unit have been made with softness in their design.". Florence just stayed there, staring in shock at what SRK could be implying with this. "W-what? You're not saying... I mean... N-nevermind. We have to eat already...", she blushed, wondering about things that she should not. Whether she liked to admit it or not, SRK and even ARA were at least designed with female proportions in mind and she was also sure that there was more to them than she was willing to think. Could they both have been created like this as well? A part of her mind screamed for answers but she couldn't let it get the best of her, heading away. SRK simply followed, not going back on that topic unless specifically asked about it. As she was asked what to eat, she seemed to give it some thoughts. "Anything that you humans consume will be acceptable. I need a lot of energy before I can properly recharge myself, however.", she said. Florence who finally could think straight looked at SRK then Archer. "Uhh... Anything, I don't mind... As long as it's edible. Are you one who can cook, Mr Reed?", the wolf girl asked curiously, not usually being the kind to pay attention to cuisine. She did not mind a fine meal if he could prepare one however. "Please do your best, I will be eating what you will be making. I would not mind having some time for a break.", Florence finally said, sitting somewhere while observing SRK who waited.

He was right, though. There was something interesting about SRK being the little warning fluffball even if her intents and purposes were for now unknown. At the very least, she didn't try anything weird or even to escape. She was just there for the ride, trusting them or not. Probably for the sake of ARA as well, who the wolf girl promised herself to wake up as soon as possible. But oh well... For now, she had to keep this one alive for longer to succeed to wake the other one as well. And so when suggested, Florence headed to the kitchen area with them, the little black one seemed to follow. At least for the time being. That... didn't take very long to change and while Florence didn't notice at first, SRK made it easy to tell. Upon being picked up, the little frame did well to panic or at least show disapproval. "WARNING! Put this unit down this instant. None of my functions involve being picked up and hugged. Besides, you are not permitted to do so. This unit is more than capable of walking on her own!". Florence turned around only to see this happening and she could hardly hold her laugh. Seeing Archer struggling to keep hold of this little anthroid was one sight to see. "Please calm down, we're about to have some food when we get to the kitchen and I think all of us need it. But yes, Mr. Reed. I believe it would be better to have her walk on her own. She might have been asleep for a while.", she assumed, wondering. SRK did well to answer. "This avatar has been offline for... 2623 days or so." Florence almost choked as she heard the numbers. "So you've been lost and unconscious for years... Do you remember the circumstances of your shutdown?", she had to ask. If they had means to recharge power then surely there had to be a reason but anything could have happened in space. "Negative. No memory found of the days of shutdown. Access to database unavailable. Access to Nebula unavailable.", SRK simply answered and this did not mean too good for them. They may have been lost for a long time. Their communication were completely unavailable as well. "Well... This is unfortunate but it's good that we found you. We will see if ARA can help us with these issues later... For now, both of you stop goofing and let's go eat, already.", she told them.

Florence smiled to the fact but looked at him. "You know, synthetic or not, they don't look all that different. At least they should not produce waste if they transform all they eat into energy. Besides, she is cute enough that I could hug her.", she said aloud, kinda wishing to also do it but SRK put a hand in front of her as defense. "WARNING! This unit shall not be hugged in any sort of way. Besides, I do not agree that I am cute, despite that my appearance may or not cause attraction." Florence blinked but shook her head. "Don't speak nonsense, you're very cute. Just a little hug?", she asked but SRK kept her stance. "WARNING, you will not attempt any sort of hug on this unit.". The wolf girl finally gave up, being a little disappointed by being denied a hug. Looking at Archer instead, she pondered. "I am not sure how her enegine works but I presume that an AI must uses lot of energy. They may have found a way, especially since they have more than one." Florence came to think about something else. "Well, she also repeats warning quite often for an AI this advanced. I wonder if she was made for alerts. Though the only alerts she gives is about her own being so far. I wonder if she would keep repeating it more if I actually tried to get her.", the wolf girl said in references to hugs. SRK seemed worried about what she tried to imply. "W-warning! Absolutely do not attempt to hug this unit...". Florence looked surprised at first. "Did she... stutter? You're adorable! Ahem, I am sorry. Perhaps I should not delay us further...". SRK meanwhile was not sure how to react to the compliments, a blue-ish taint seemed to color her face even, which Florence unbelievably recognized as blushing, even though she seemed to deny it quietly. Looking at Archer, Florence smiled. "It seems there is a lot that we don't know about them. I mean, a lot more than I thought. We will have to get back to it later... And wake up this ARA...!" At the end, after the explanations given, there was only one thing to do then. "Right, let's go get some nutrition. The last thing that I would want is that she shut down on us and we really lose her before we even wake ARA up. Or before we know more.", Florence said and left, inviting SRK to join. The next step to all this was to get food and get a break.

SRK frowned when she was addressed by a few different terms but she remained quiet. At least she was free now even if she had no means to find where she was. Florence just seemed to observe as well, wondering how ARA would be like but she doubted that she would be the kind that SRK was. It was mostly just a feeling but as the question of power was raised, SRK expressed herself with an expression of pride. "CORRECT. This unit can consume what you alive beings consider being food. This nutrition is used to procure energy to the core.", she explained, feeling like a little genius. "We eat anything that you can eat, as long as it contains enough energy for us to function. We do not exactly taste things the same way however.". Florence was amazed but it was best to not ask. Still, the wolf girl thought a bit. "Well, you will both still need to recharge but until I find how, getting some energy for you and her would not be so bad to begin with.". Looking at Archer to process with that information, she had a theory. "I do not think their bodies process food or... whatever they eat the same way we do. She spoke of a core so it probably disintegrates everything into fuel.". Or at least it was what made more sense to Florence. "We should bring this one to where she can ingest something and I could use the break as well. A meal would be rather nice. Perhaps we can ask more out of her too when we're set with something in our stomach.", she said but then paused. "Wait... Why did you yourself come to medbay already? Did you not have business to do here?" She asked. In the end, SRK looked at Archer with some kind of confusion at first but nodded and went along with it. Seeing his hand and finally knowing his intentions, she carefully took his hand and shook it the way a human would do it, having learned that behavior at the very least. If they left, ARA would at the very least stay safe there. Waking her up could be done later, whenever they'd be back.

Unfortunately, I can't really play along that idea for their story but yeah, there's so much to discover about. XD Still interesting to see how he reacts to the whole situation, though. Hopefully my post is good enough. And sadly, I have to go rest for... hospital day sake and all that.

Florence blinked a bit, as she didn't even have the time to begin on the tall girl. "She woke up, just like that...? I see...", she said, lost in her thoughts. She should be excited though, it was a good news. Removing the wires from the anthroid's tail, she thought it would be better to let the small one find a more peaceful way, finally. As long as she was peaceful. "Alright... I'm going back. Time to meet with her.", she finally decided. Starting to head back, she looked at Archer who took the red cat into his grasp. "Very well. You handle her carefully. We're close to see this one wake up if the other one is ready." Florence then went back to the medbay while looking back to him. "I would not worry too much. For now, we have to find who they are and what they are meant to be or do..." The black one looked at them come back but showed no signs of knowing Florence but her eyes seemed to brighten up at the sight or the red cat. "So you have found her as well!", she said, speaking of the other anthroid. Florence seemed surprise to hear what seemed to be a rather soft yet not completely biologic voice. It definitely was synthetic but still sounding good. As Archer introduced her as the sleeping beauty, the black one frowned angrily. "RELUCTANCE. This unit will not be named as such lowly name. You shall name it SRK!", she said but Florence picked up quickly before Archer could respond. "SRK? So that is your name? And her, who is she...?", she asked, needing to know more as soon as possible. The little anthroid looked at the both of them for a bit. "She's ARA." The wolf girl was quite impressed but soon realized one other important detail. The cat was speaking their language. Looking at Archer a little, she looked back to the small one and started deactivating the pod, which did a loud noise before the water started draining. "WARNING. This machine is doing something!", the voice making Florence smile as she replied. "Yes, I'm getting you out of there and in exchange, you have to wake her up. We have to know who you both are. I am the one who was charged of taking care of you. My name is Florence.". The SRK watched as the water almost drained completely and looked at ARA then at the two others. "ARA's power is empty. She requires recharging, which she would be able to do manually but her power status is critical.", she said. Florence nodded a bit but she had other questions while the pod finally opened up once empty. She carefully removed the mask off the girl who jumped off then looked at them. "How did you wake up, by the way? Or is it too strange to ask? Were you asleep?", she asked quite many questions but the SRK seemed unfazed. "This unit has managed to find some power with your machine but I am critically low as well. I require nutrition!", she stated, to which Florence looked at Archer. Could it be...? SRK continued. "ARA is capable of waiting but when she is awake, she will require nutrition as well. This is how our frames maintain our power level when we do not recharge ourselves." Florence had so many questions with how this unit expressed herself. Her AI seemed quite advanced.
