Offices for Headmaster and Vice Headmaster.
Matty replied to JennyDK's topic in Monster Academy's School and city areas.
For a moment, Tesk second guessed whether to take the velvety chocolate, wondering if it was made from coco in the human world, or something else. But Tesk assured himself such a concern was not only irrational, but rude, and opted to take a piece of chocolate. It wasn't until Veronica had stopped speaking that he decided to eat it though. It was chocolate alright. "Do you remember when that portal first opened up?" Tesk asked rhetorically. "I remember watching that shit on TV. It stopped the entire world in its tracks." He paused, taking in a good hard look of the Headmaster to try and get a read on her, before continuing to elaborate. "I was seven years old when that happened. It wasn't a goal of mine to end up here, but I knew from that moment that I wanted to be with monsters. I can't explain it. It was just a feeling then. But as I grew up-. . .I began to realize that-. . . . Humans are just-. . . . ." Tesk paused again, looking at the chocolate for a moment, thinking about what to say next. ". . .Do you know how we make that chocolate? It's fucked up. And here I am. Enjoying it," Tesk laments out loud as he takes another piece to pop into his mouth, savoring it's sweetness. "Monsters, for the most part, are pretty honest about themselves." He says with a small smack of the lips, finally finishing his chocolate. "Ya'll take pride in being yourselves. What we consider morally abhorrent about humans, ya'll usually consider it to be just a fact of life. Ya'll dont hide the ugly, you wear it as a badge of pride. Us Humans on the other hand? We hide that shit as much as we can," Tesk said with a forlorn sigh. He hadn't realized, not until then at least, just how badly he needed to get all of that off his chest. Or how much that sweet chocolate helped sooth him during this interview. As the seconds passed, and as this reality began to set in, a faint hint of pink would spread across his cheeks when he noticed his rambling. Instinctively, he hides the bottom his face with a hand. "I guess I just want a place I can be myself for once", Tesk finished with a fully realized blush, adverting his gaze from Veronica's and to the floor for a moment. -

Tesk stopped in his tracks and blinked, surprised to see the doors open when they did. He pulled out his phone, checked the time, and saw that they opened right on time. The display got an impressed huff as he slid his phone into his pocket, and stepped forward to the door. He was mindful not to cross its threshold, to show respect, until invited in by the Headmaster. Once inside, he couldn't help but start turning his head every which way to look around. Tesk was of decent height for a human, around 6'0 feet and lithe in build, and when he flicked his head about his long ponytail would bounce around with him. But perhaps the most striking thing in the room to Tesk, besides the architecture, was the Headmaster herself. Her brilliant white hair and crimson eyes caused Tesk to pause for a moment, before blinking away his mystifaction and taking a seat across from Veronica. "Most call me Mr. Watawa, but Tesk works just fine here," he said, casually correcting the Headmaster. "It's good to meet you Ms. Parnacel. You're running quite the establishment here," Tesk adds with a respectful nod, hinting to his amazement. "I'm honored to be in such a monumental place." -

@Matty @JennyDK [Start Scene] Tesk walked around a large sanguine room, his posture well mannered and confident, arms craddled behind his back. But there was a hesitancy to every step he took. This place seemed so similar to something in his human world, but there was this slightly inhuman aspect to it. It was extravagant, like it was trapped in a lost time of decadence. But beneath that was an odd feeling. Like everything was two inches to left of where it belonged. It was definitely different from a U.S. ambassadors office, Tesk had decided. One of his trainers had told Tesk to expect such an uneasy feeling when first admirst with monster, and that it would pass, but it didn't change the fact that this was his first time coming face to face with monsters. He still couldn't believe the sheer diversity of them, in shape and breed. It all had him excited and terrified all at the same time, and he was doing everything he could to cover that up. Tesk was an experienced secratary, and he had come well dressed, and well prepared, so he was confident he will succeed with his interview. But a part of him still couldn't help but be on edge. It was like his fight-or-flight instincts were waiting on the edge of their seats, just waiting for something to make him jump. -

Howdy! I'd like to make a character here, but I see there's a lot of staff characters already. Do I still need to make to make a customer character or would it be okay just to make the latter? -
Name: Tesk Watawa Position: Secretary Age: 32 Race: Human Sex: Male Personality: Tesk is two parts fire, one part air an all parts a walking-talking furnace. There isn't much of a difference between his rational mind and his emotions, making him prone to giving to them quite easy. However, Tesk is still quite cerebral, so he does his best to remain composed, opting for tact. If he can help it, that is. This is most obvious when being flirted with. He can take charge in the midsts of intense negotiations, and he thrives in the anxiety of covert office politics, he can even throw a pretty decent right hook. But throw a midly flirtatious charmer at him and all composer begins to melt away. In a nut shell, Tesk is intelligent, observant, philosophical, charismatic, instinctual, tactful and empathetic. But at times can be stubborn, volatile, sassy, emotional and melodramatic. Abilities: [1] Adept organization/Logistical skills Being a Secratary, Tesk has to possess powerful skills of long-term planning and strategising. While he's a moderately decent tactician, his real prowess lays in his ability to plan ahead. [2] Powerful Skills of Observstions There aren't too many details to fly under the radar for Tesk. For the most part. Of course there are things WELL out of his perceptions, but so long as he isn't distracted, he is paying close attention to anything within his five senses. [3] Specialized Training Just prior to his employment at the Monster Academy, Tesk was given training by specialists in specific areas of combat, those being; hand-to-hand combat, firearms training in both close and medium range combat, as well as physical and mental conditioning for paranormal or psychic attacks. While by no means an expert, he's been taught to fight smart, quick and dirty, so he's no slouch. [4] Fast Reflexes Tesk just has fast reflexes. It's not something he really honed, not until his training, it was just a sort of thing he was born with. When working on things, something might fall and he'd suddenly catch it. Or fists thrown at him seem unusually slow. That sort of thing. Nothing inhuman though. [5] High Intelligence Tesk is well studied, but he's quick on the uptake as well. He went from working as a secretary for an ambassador to Beijing to being the secretary to Monster Academy, meaning he had to learn a number of different cultures and bits of languages to do so. This means he's quick to learn in most areas of life, but that doesn't make him any less stubborn.

Ngl, was kinda hoping we ( @JennyDK, you, I and whoever else wanted to), could plot something out together? Since we're looking to introduce our characters around the same time, I thought maybe this might be a good opprotunity to do that ;;>>
-
Mk! I just had my Thanksgiving so ill go ahead and give everything a once over before making a character. Should I dm you if I have any questions or is here just as fine?
-
Cap'n! I have questions! Like a lot of questions actually << Like, how defined are these staff positions and how much I making up for them? Such as the history teacher, is there lore here that id use or would I'd be making it up? Or the librarian, can i say that I'm a spirit who haunts/maintains it? Etc etc. Just wondering about the possibilities here so I can decide what might interest me the most

Aye aye cap'n!

Honestly I think it's a great idea. It's a good way to keep things fresh and alive. And it sounds like a fun way to get different characters to interact, i imagine itll have some pretty funny moments. When I hosted a club, the idea of fun events like that never crossed my mind, so I'm definitely stealing that if I ever host one again lol As for the staff positions, what positions are open exactly? Are there like, actual positions to fill in, like PE coach or w.e? Or is it more like there's a numerical limit to the amount of staff and there's a few slots open? Asking for reasons >>
-
Ahhh, I'm excited! I'm definitely gonna have to check out the staff roles, and then your characters, cause a 3 person scene sounds great =D
-
Thank yooouuuu~~~ I've got two characters that I think could work here, so I should be fine just copying over ya'lls character templates. Unless there's a limit on how many characters we can have? Besides that I think I just need help getting into the rp since I don't wanna just interrupt or join into an ongoing one. I hate when characters just appear lol. Maybe since @Kitsuyumia and I are both getting into this we could use that as an opprotunity to introduce some new characters together? Food for thought?
-
Howdy! This rp looks pretty awesome so I was hoping maybe I could join in? I've looked over the rules, but I'm not sure how to get involved here. Could I maybe get a helping hand on getting started pretty please?

Despite Takeshi stopping it didn't seem to make Aisuru stop, so Takeshi jogged back up alongside her, their gear bouncing against his back. Takeshi dipped his head side to side, thinking to himself about this precarious position he had landed himself in. He had said that his best attribute was that he was observant, but he didn't mean like that she did! Besides, he had other good attributes about himself, like his deftness in his limbs, his quick wit or his dexterity. He was a lot more than just "an observer" and a part of him couldn't help but feel a tad bit belittled by such a simple categorization. Then again, he was talking to royality, so he wasn't exactly surprised that she saw him so one dimensionally. Then again, he could very well be seeing her just the same, as some one dimensional person. Tis the plight of the poor against the royal, they both tended to stick their noses up at each other. That last part though, the part about deciding their fate in battle, seriously put a strain on Takeshi's mood. "Gee, no pressure," he muttered under his breath. But a spark ignited inside of Takeshi's gut, responding to the sudden weight that had been put onto his shoulders. His face twisted in grimace, his voice spiking with attitude. "Oy, your the battle-ready warrior princess here! Why the hell am I supposed to be one 'deciding our fates', huh? That's absurd! You're absurd!"
-
Takeshi's eyes had a spark in them that wasn't normally there. Kyu might have seen that in passing a few times before, but that there were emotions Takeshi had done his best to keep tied down. Moments like these though made it impossible to hide. He looked around to their guests and nodded in agreement with Kyu. They really had done a good job there. It felt fulfilling. Takeshi laughed at Kyu's retort and pulled her closer when she leaned in. He pressed his lips against her head, burying his nose in her silk hair with a wide grin and closed eyes. He didn't say anything, he just quietly and happily listened to her go on as he soaked up the atmosphere. When Kyu mentioned Takeshi he opened an eye in interest and then buried his face into her hair. Excitement was welling up inside him as he listened to Kyu go on. The more she talked about staying there, the tighter his grip got on her until finally speaking. "I'd love that." Takeshi said, his voice and low husky. But a thought crossed his mind that made him pull himself from Kyu's sweet smelling hair to look her in her eyes. "Why now? What took ya so long, huh?"

announcement Dreamers of EcchiDreams: We need to talk...
Matty commented on Tema's news article in News and Announcements
I very much appreciate you taking the time to post all of this @Temaelrin Imo, this sort of topic needs to be discussed more because there isn't enough attention on the issue. Being an American, this sort of thing doesn't immediately affect us, but the U.S. is very close with U.K.. So when these sort of things happen I cannot help but worry about how this met eventually effect us over here. I agree with a lot of what you're saying, from the smoke screen and blatant hypocrisy of these closeted perverts to the painfully obvious logical fallacies used by politicians. The issue of the government subverting and taking over the role as Parent is also an issue here in the U.S. that no one seems to care about. I find it alarming, if not terrifying, that people think it is the governments job to parent the children. My own parents had this mentality, leaving the school to teach me every little important thing that life has outside of religion. Like you said, it's worse than a Nanystate, it's some Orwellian nightmare. It makes me think the West is on the way to some V for Vendetta shit. Besides those issues, I also greatly appreciate the strides you've made to both be open about this topic as well as to ensure the security of this sites userbase. Its admirable, to say the least. Although I'm not in the U.K., it sounds to me that The AgePass platform is a wonderful alternative for the current circumstances. I think this just goes to show that the more the government tries to meddle in our personal lives the more they create ingenuity and creativity among the people they seek to step on. Just like with strict parents who don't let their kids out passed a certain time of night, people will find creative ways to get around these things. These Boomers in office and places of legislation dont understand what they're doing or what they're dealing with. Over here in the U.S., it's said that the law is 10 years behind technology. I wonder if that's a thing for the U.K..? Because, if it is, it just goes to show the blatant arrogance these politicians have by trying to regulate things the law as whole is not yet equipped to understand. Things will get worse but things always get worse before they get better. Keep up the good fight & God-Speed.- 13 comments

Everything was going swimmingly. People were smiling and filling their bellies, thanks to the work Kyu and Takeshi had so suddenly put into such a night. Takeshi had always enjoyed being able to give back to the people he lived with but this was something else. This feeling left him feeling warm in a way he hadn't felt. Perhaps it was because he had never done this sort of thing alongside Kyu before? They shared information and helped each other out but most of their work happened separate of each other, not that Takeshi preferred that way or anything. The thought of doing things with Kyu made Takeshi look back to her without a second thought. When Kyu matched his gaze Takeshi froze for a moment, caught with a sandwich half way up to his mouth. He let out a nervous laugh and skipped over to Kyu before slinging an arm around her shoulder. "Kyu, you always look strange!" Takeshi teased with a poke of her cheek as he tossed his head back and laughed.
-
Between the mocking and laughing it had taken Takeshi a moment to get who he could under control. By the time things were calm more of their friends and neighbors had come to enjoy in on the food, and some had even brought their own instruments to play! What had been seen by some was quickly forgotten as they got distracted with the new guests and the smell of fresh food sifting through the air, to Takeshi's relief. Takeshi was doing his best to put what had just had happened out of his head, not wanting to get anymore distracted than he already had, and to quite the success! When Kyu had stepped out Takeshi was still squatting down, hugging and chatting with some the new kids. Some of the people, kids, teenagers an adults alike, had turned to look at Kyu, prompting Takeshi to turn his head to look at Kyu from behind some loose hair. With the ladle still in his hand, Takeshi brushed the hair back behind his ear, giving himself a better view. Takeshi wanted to gasp, feeling his heart jump into his throat as his eyes went wide for a second. The sight of Kyu back at their place, poised picturesque against the door frame with the light radiating out from around her, made Takeshi's face turn a faint pink. He wasn't sure how long he or anyone else had stared but hopefully it was't for too long. When he snapped back to it and finally replied, Takeshi nodded with a big grin. "Mhm!" Takeshi stood up, and with eyes closed tight with joy, motioned with his ladle to the small abode. "Come on in! We've got all kinds'a food for all'a ya'll." Takeshi brushed past Kyu, guiding who he could fit into their hovel. With his bronze face still lit with that faint hue of pink, Takeshi would steal what chances he could to look to Kyu as he helped feed and give out food to their guests. It was still hard for Takeshi to believe that he wasn't dreaming, but he was starting to become okay with that.
